Any 20s TTC first baby? :)

Hello!

I've just turned 24 and me and husband have just started TTC first baby. Thought that it would be good to have a thread going with a few people in a similar situation! Very few of my friends are in the same situation as we got married early and now thinking of babies whilst lots of friends are still at uni :)

Anyone one to join a group discussion with how things are going?

I went for an early gender scan this morning but I have no idea what I'm having. What do you think??

@L0205 I literally haven't a clue looking at that scan 😂 just not an experienced gender guesser! And yes i had my 12 week scan 2 weeks ago, 6 weeks until I found out 💙💖

@JadeSB I have my gender reveal on sept 7th but I can't wait!!! So I'm just literally guessing by looking at the photos hahaha I guess I will just have to keep asking for peoples opinions until I actually find out the gender lol!

Isn't it amazing seeing baby on that lil screen it just makes it so real it's unbelievable they're growing inside of us!

@L0205 when he/she started wriggling around on the screen I started crying, I couldn't believe how much it looked like a proper little baby even though it was only like 5-6cm big!😭🤭🥺

Awwww @JadeSB I know it's unbelievable! And it's crazy how mi y they grow in so little time, wait till you go to your next scan. I was like 🤭😲 lol x

@L0205 I can't wait for the gender scan, going to be the slowest 6 weeks of my life!!! 🤭 thought about giving in and booking an early one in 2 weeks but the appointment we've got for the gender scan is the day before my birthday so I figured it'll just be the best birthday present, so I'm gunna try and wait it out! 😂

@JadeSB omg that's a good idea! Yeah I would deffo wait if I was you. What do you want boy or girl ?

@L0205 it was amazing thank you! Yes we got to see out baby who moved a bit but we got a really clear photo which is amazing 😊 and heard the heartbeat! We have told most of our close family and a few friends this week, a few more next week and then all the important people will know! It's been really lovely and everyone has been so excited and supportive. The next scan is at the end of September 😊 how are you both doing? Have symptoms calmed down?

@lovesT awww that's amazing!!! Glad baby's doing ok!
Symptom wise I am still struggling with a blocked nose specially during the night. It's soooo annoying! Boobs are still sore and itchy although some days more than others. I've started to get headaches at least 3-4 times a week :(. I've started to get up to pee more often during the night and also my appetite has increased. Oh and I can now feel the baby move!!!! It feels so weird but makes me so happy every time I feel him/her 🥰.
What about you? You're in the second trimester now as well do you feel any different? X

@L0205 wow that's amazing that you can feel baby already! I can't wait for that 😊 yeah I'm 13+3 and feeling much better. My boobs are still sore too and my appetite is also increasing! I don't feel as tired and am able to eat more of a variety of food which is great 👍 can definitely relate with you with getting up to pee in the night! I never used to at all and now I'm up around 3/4am every night .. can't wait for the second scan. How many weeks are you? Have you had your 16 week appointment? I'm hoping I'll get to hear the heartbeat again at that one in a few week time. Sorry to hear about headaches 🙁

@lovesT i am 16 weeks and 2 days. I had my midwife appointment last week and got to hear the heart beat! I heard not all midwives check the heart beat at the 16 week apt so if she doesn't mention it to you just tell her!

I started feeling flutters around week 13 but only like once every 2 days if that, but since Friday I've been feeling little pokes and kicks 😍.

@L0205 I thought I'd want a little girl prior to this whole ttc but now I'm pregnant I honestly am not bothered, as long as they're healthy! What about yourself?

@JadeSB I always wanted a boy first but same as you since I got pregnant all I want is a healthy baby! But I have a feeling I'm having a girl which gets me rly excited lol so I can't wait to know what I'm having so I can start day dreaming hahaha

@L0205 so excitinggggg! Yeah I feel like I'm having a girl too, but we gotta wait and see 👀

@L0205 ooh I hope I do get to hear it again 😊 we are already talking about whether we want to find out the sex or not, I've always thought I wouldn't want to know! But husband would love a girl (obviously any healthy baby is amazing!) so now we are thinking about finding out! We have until the end of September to decide so we'll see 😊 are you both finding out then?

@lovesT @JadeSB we all find out in September then! I have my scan on sept 6th so 3 weeks and a bit left which to me seems like she's away!!

Hi! I'm 25 and ttc for our first baby. We started trying in February but no luck yet, hoping to get my bfp before the end of the year 🤞🏼

@handbaglover93 heya, try not to stress to much, took me 9 months before I successfully conceive, are you tracking ovulation?

@JadeSB hey! Yes I have been but for the last couple of months I stopped as it was stressing me out too much. I'm thinking I will start again this month and not get too worried about it

@handbaglover93 yeah that is the problem, I found I stressed out more tracking, but had more luck tracking than letting nature take its course, like people advise!
