Hello!

I've just turned 24 and me and husband have just started TTC first baby. Thought that it would be good to have a thread going with a few people in a similar situation! Very few of my friends are in the same situation as we got married early and now thinking of babies whilst lots of friends are still at uni :)

Anyone one to join a group discussion with how things are going?

@DaniX91 thank you!
Oh yeah that was one of the first symptoms I had, I felt more tired than usual but I didn't think anything of it lol.
I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow.
I always thought I would know as soon as I feel pregnant but not the case, you just never know what to expect so the safest symptom is a missed period. When are you planning to test?

DaniX91 · 04/07/2019 20:06

@L0205 so you'll be having your scan soon, how exciting!
Ideally I want to wait until Monday but I think AF will show before then. Not feeling very positive about it.

lovesT · 04/07/2019 20:45

@L0205 yeah try that and see how it goes, I'm hoping I'll get a letter about the scan soon! Just would like to know when it is 😊 oooh I really hope I get some energy back at some point, as much as I like napping it's a bit too much at the moment haha 😴 @DaniX91 welcome to the group! I would say I felt very much like I was going to come on but cramps were intermittent and just carried on past when I should have been on. I always get sore breasts straight after ovulation and they have continued too but it's different for everyone! So I think I've had sore boobs for about 5 weeks now 👍😄 joy .. All the best to you 😊

@L0205 thankyou!

DaniX91 · 04/07/2019 21:05

@lovesT awww congratulations! Thankyou for your reply 😊 I'll just wait and see what happens!

Can't quite believe I'm actually typing this but I tested at 6am and got my bfp 😍 absolutely over the moon!
I know it's still very early days so I'm trying not to get too excited and I'm very scared!

Any 20s TTC first baby? :)
lovesT · 07/07/2019 13:32

@DaniX91 wow congratulations! Maybe the sun is helping with all the BFPs?! Haha 🌞😄 it's definitely okay to feel excited, hoping all the best for you! I felt scared too, along with excitement but feeling less scared and more excited as time goes on 😊

@lovesT aww thank you😘.
How far along are u?
What do I even need to do now? Haha I'm clueless!

lovesT · 07/07/2019 13:46

@DaniX91 I'm just over 8 weeks 😊 recently had my booking appointment which you have at 8 weeks. So in a week or so you could contact the doctors, mine gave me the contact for the midwife to make the appointment. That's all you have to do really 😊

DaniX91 · 07/07/2019 17:40

@lovesT thanks for that😊

L0205 · 07/07/2019 18:33

@lovesT aw you have the date finally!! I bet you're gonna start counting down the weeks like I have lol I was too impatient that's why I went and done the private scan I couldn't wait any longer haha. Now I'm just a bit scared/nervous about my 12 week scan next Monday, hoping baby is doing great in there!

@DaniX91 congratulations!!! Have you worked out how far along you are? Judging by your previous posts you must be around 4-5 weeks? You must have been ecstatic when you saw that bfp, how exciting!!!

DaniX91 · 09/07/2019 12:42

@L0205 thank you😊. I'm very excited but also very nervously hoping that everything goes well!
I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow I think.
Bet u can't wait for your scan!

L0205 · 09/07/2019 13:38

@DaniX91 awww I remember feeling exactly the same and the I still feel rly nervous and I just want the pregnancy and baby to be healthy! I think once you see the baby and hear it's heart beat you'll be fine, this is why I can't wait for my scan on Monday!!

DaniX91 · 09/07/2019 16:21

@L0205 We only found out on Sunday morning and were on the phone to 111 by Sunday night cos I was getting sharp pains which were one sided and when I stupidly googled it, it said it's a sign of eptopic pregnancy! I went to the hospital and the dr said it would be too early for signs of an eptopic and when he dipped my urine it showed protein and blood so I'm on antibiotics. I just want everything to be ok so badly, the same as what we all want!
How exciting that you've only got to wait til Monday!
Have u had any early scans?

L0205 · 15/07/2019 21:19

How's everyone getting on? Went for my scan today. Baby is healthy and doing great!! He/she was moving sooooo much the nurse couldn't take a photo lol I was in awe! Couldn't believe something so small could move so much without me feeling it!!! Gender scan is on sept 6th can't wait!!!

Hi guys I need a little advice at the moment... recently I have been having a few strange feelings and I’m not sure if I should take a test.

My periods are usually very irregular which convinced me growing up that I wouldn’t be able to have children. My last cycle was 41 days which was a lot shorter than my usual cycle . I am now on cycle day 18 and for a couple of days not my tummy has been bloated and I have been feeling nauseous and ridiculously warm all the time. I’m very tired and my lower back keeps aching. As well as this I’ve started to get a lot of spots which I never normally have. Should I take a test ? When should I consider taking one ? I’ve had so many negative ones before that i instantly dismiss that I could be pregnant even though I know there’s a chance ...
advice would be greatly appreciated

lovesT · 16/07/2019 16:20

@L0205 that's so exciting! Glad everything is well with little baby :) how are you doing symptom wise? I still get so tired! I got my letter for free prescriptions through so that's a great perk of being pregnant haha :) and it's also good as I've had a horrible cough and ear infection which I think I'll have to go back to the doctors for :( other than that all good (y)

@Bosun208 I definitely can't give any expert advice but I don't want to not reply! Have you been trying? From what I know irregular periods might make it more difficult to get pregnant but not impossible, any idea when you might have ovulated? Some of those things could be pregnancy related but there is no way of saying without a test, which I understand is frustrating! Would you feel happy to take a test? I hope you get the result you want :) Sorry that I can't offer any help

How is everyone else doing?
