I kind of just want to draw a line under the whole episode and start again but we shall see what the scan shows on Thursday and see!

Welcome to the newbies. We all wish we weren't here for obvious reasons but I can say these ladies are amazing and hold you up when you feel like you can't face the world.

As for me...busy couple of days. Relived my youth at Boyzone's gig in Birmingham on Friday. 25 years!! Man I feel old. I was 14 when they started  blooming good gig mind. Ma loved it. Yesterday was haircut and lunch with OH parents...then trip to the hospital with my dad for a scan today.

@Lilimum6 nice bracelets! One thing I have started doing to try and distract myself from google is crocheting! I'm attempting to make an octopus to help premature babies in nicu...maybe a bit hard when I've never done it before but never mind! I'm sure the babies won't notice the head isn't quite as round as it should be!!!

So this happened this weekend!! Sod’s law that it happened this month (rmc appointment was last month but scan was booked for next month!?) but hay it’s happened so here I go again. Really hoping it’s 4th time lucky 🤞🤞🤞
I’ve started taking aspirin as I really regretted not taking it last time (even if it does absolutely nothing) and the rmc nurse is ringing me with my blood test results tomorrow (no idea how she’ll take the BFP news!?)
So, crazy timing, but I’m just trying to focus on the fact ‘today, I am pregnant!!!!!’

@Laney79 I saw boyzone last week- absolutely loved it! It was like being a teenager all over again.

@rdm10 Congrats. That's a good strong line. I really, really hope that it's 4th time lucky. They may whizz you on to treatment if you let them know you've had a positive and if anything shows up on the bloods. Were you still trying?

@rdm10 fabulous strong positive there! Fingers crossed for the healthiest stickiest bean. As @KnitKitty says hopefully if the bloods showed anything they'll get you on treatment ASAP. I'll be doing the same with baby aspirin if I get a bfp.

And I'm taking the fact that you were probably already growing your little one when you went to see the boyz as good luck-I saw them Friday so 3dpo. Hopefully a bit of magic happened for both of us! They were blooming fab weren't they! Sang my heart out!

As for me I'm now CD13 and on my 5th day of flashing smiley on the CB OPK. I'm wondering how quickly the coQ10 trashes to have any effect. Got results from the clinic for my AMH blood test, she said it's very good for my age and it looks very reassuring - I'm hoping that's all a good sign. I'm so desperate to be pregnant before my birthday but that means it has to be this cycle.

@InDreamland, @Lilimum6, @awakeatnight, @KnitKitty, @Newbie21 and @Laney79 thank you lovely ladies!!! Today went well, they collected 16 eggs which I'm told is really good. 😀 Just awaiting the call from the embryologist tomorrow to find out how many fertilised. Feeling sore but happy.

@frillyfarmer I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I can't even imagine. I hope Thursday brings some good news for you.

Oh wow @boboelephant, not that I know anything about IVF but that sounds good! 16 eggs sounds like a very good number. Fx this will be a successful cycle and your rainbow!

@KnitKitty I’ve rang the rmc nurse to tell them about the BFP so just waiting for her to call back. She was supposed to be ringing today with my test results (I’d asked before I’d taken the test).
We were trying before the rmc appointment then had said we’d keep trying but weren’t actually sure whether or not to but it turns out we didn’t need to make the decision!

@Boboelephant Glad today went well.

Thanks @rdm10 - trying to hold out on testing until Tuesday next week -that'll be 14dpo. I don't want to test on Sunday/Monday as that's a year to the day/date I tested and got my first ever positive. Just doesn't feel right. And I'm a bit worried Saturday at 11dpo will be too early. Trying desperately not to symptom spot but have had sore boobs today, and feeling tired so already getting my hopes up. Fingers crossed for the Boyzone baby dust!

@InDreamland good news on the test! I was always a Boyzone girl and it was awesome.

@Boboelephant wow! That sounds like a good amount of eggs. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Random question, but how do they do the retrieval? Do they put you to sleep? X

@Laney79 I loved then too in the 90's. Saw then a couple of times at Wembley. They were So Good! Shame I decided not to go this year but TT and BSB were expensive plus I didn't think I'd be able to find anyone to go with me whereas with TT and BSB I have people wanting the other ticket easily.

Hi all can I join?
I'm 26, I have an older son from a previous relationship. But this will be mine and my partner first child together.
We started TTC in September and fell pregnant in October but had MMC by December. My OH and I did sort of start trying during January after my MVA but got AF at the end of January and now really trying for February. Currently about to ovulate so dtd like crazy.

@Lilimum6, @strawberrye, @InDreamland, @rdm10, @Laney79 thank you lovelies! I know it's only one stage but it's a relief. I kept worrying I was going to ovulate too soon and there'd be no eggs at all!

@Laney79 yes, they do it under a general anaesthetic so I remember nothing after being given the gas. They have these amazing heated gowns so I woke up so warm and toasty.

I think I've actually now exhausted all of the wishful thinking/googling etc. Ive gone back through my dates with a level head and I can't actually draw a positive conclusion about this being a new healthy pregnancy.

I'm hoping that I have an answer on Thursday one way or another. It isn't presenting the way that my first ectopic was, but that doesn't really mean anything! X

@Boboelephant so pleased it is going so well - 16 eggs sounds impressive! Very interested to hear how things progress with fertilization and next steps if you are happy to share x

12DPO today can feel the dreaded AF brewing. Was going to test on Valentine's Day but don't think I'll bother. All the other times I've been pregnant I've had a feeling that I was but I don't have that feeling now. Oh well, a nice box of chocolates might console me briefly... let's see if DH comes up with the goods.

@ale2992 welcome, hopefully your stay here isn’t too long.

I’ve just spoke to the rmc nurse and told her about my BFP. She’s booked me in for next week to go through my test results but did say other than my vitamin d being low, everything else looks ok. Which I suppose is good but has left me disappointed as now there’s no ‘fix’ for this pregnancy? I did ask about aspirin and she said not to take it as new research says taking it before 8 weeks can cause harm. So now I’m totally at a loss because now, other than taking extra vitamin d, I’m not going to do anything different this pregnancy so now I feel like I’m just waiting for this one to end too.

@rdm10 hugs...it's so hard when you are desperate for answers. Though if it helps-extra vitamin D can make a big difference. Some recent studies say that having a decent level can increase the chances of a pregnancy continuing by 10% plus (see the links I posted lower down the thread) v a low level. I'd be interested to see the research the nurse mentioned, my consultant has told me to take baby aspirin if I get a bfp!

Thanks @Boboelephant - I think my phobia would probably make ivf impossible for me but hearing what the process involves is helpful, just in case. Hope all went ok this morning!

@Newbie21 I'm 7dpo at the mo...if I can will hold out till Tuesday to test, if not Itll be this Saturday. Trying not to symptom spot but it's so hard!!!
