Hi All,

In the tww of my first cycle trying for my first baby.... learning so much reading through some of these threads! Would be lovely to have people to talk to that are going through the same thing!

Sadly another chemical pregnancy. I definitely was, DH and I were both convinced based on last time. However, started bleeding today. Back to the drawing board…

@joylondon I wasn't quite in the TWW when you asked. My apps said I was due to Ov on the 28th, but from temping I think it looks like it could have been the 3rd? This is my first month temping so I could be wrong. Temp is a bit up and down, but I was taking pain meds from the 10th for broken toe, and had flu from the 16th until the 22nd or 23rd so that would affect temp too I imagine. Other than Sat and Sun I am taking temp at the exact same time, sat and sun I still do it before I get out of the bed, but not at 7.25am like the other mornings.

@Goodyear2019 I am so sorry to hear that! On to next month with your head up! Same to you @Hoping87 and @stitchwitch84. Has anyone tried SMEP? A few people on another post have had success with it. Could be worth a shot.

@ImMeantToBeWorking what's SMEP? I stopped temping as I was getting a bit obsessed with it and to be honest was a little confused by it. I would imagine your painkiller and having the flu would have affected your readings.

I really want someone to get some good news soon to, even if it's not me, it would still give me hope lol!

@Goodyear2019 its spem meet egg plan, google it and it will give you all the details. Basically it is DDT every second day before ov, and then every day for 3 days after I think. It would not work for me with himself being away and me not knowing when I actually ov!

It defiantly did, the chart is so up and down its not even funny. So I am no better off in relation to if and when I ov. ConfusedConfused

@ImMeantToBeWorking yea I think your temps are messed up because of fever/meds. Mine does that too, or if I've had too much wine lol. Maybe give it another go this month. I really like it now I've gotten into it, I think it's quite reliable.

I'm on CD10 and bizarrely have EWCM which makes no sense as I'm not due to ovulate for aaaages. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'd never heard of SMEP! I've just looked it up and it's kinda what we've been doing anyway, although we've not been as planned as that. Will maybe give that a try this month. I didn't use OPKs last month but have some sitting at home so might try them again this month and use the SMEP method. Anything's worth a try!

I had a few drinks on Saturday night too with my sister as she was visiting. So that could have effected it. I am back up slightly today compared to yesterday, so I am even more confused. Hopefully next month will be more accurate. I need to order more folic acid and I am wondering should I get OPKs too. I am just so impatient I want to be pregnant now.

Yup I am in the TWW but I don't think I will be getting a BFP this month. Although when I had a MC in 2017 I didn't even know I was pregnant as I got zero symptoms so who knows.

Hmmm...maybe DTD just in case for some reason you ov early this month, it does seem strange though to be that early like. What is your temp showing?

@Goodyear2019 you'r right, anything is worth a try! The one week we would be able to give it a try (on holidays so will be able to DTD anytime we want) I am past my fertile week, typical eh?

Hi all, hope everyone has had a good week.
I'm thinking I'll use OPKs again this month and trying the SMEP method properly. I've got some of the Clear Blue digital tests at home, but not sure when is best to use them? I've heard first thing in the morning might not be as accurate, but if you use them later in the day it advises not urinating for 4 hours beforehand which I would find really difficult! Anyone here use those tests that can advise?

@Goodyear2019 hey! I used them last month with FMU and it worked. I don't think it really matters the time of day as long as the urine is concentrated enough. I used it in combo with natural cycles which is pretty good at predicting my O day, so that way I wasn't wasting a load of them too early on in my cycle. They're so expensive those ones!! I'm thinking about buying a load of cheaper ones online but I think I'll find them less straightforward. Xx

My temp has been up the last two days so I can't tell if I've already ovulated or if something wierd is going on...

Which app does everyone use for their tracking? I have Flo, Glow and Fertility Friend... Flo and FF seem to be on the same wavelength, but Glow always seems to register something different by around 2/3 days. Anyone else find this?

Thanks @joylondon I'll just use them in the morning as I think that'll be easier. I did buy cheaper ones from amazon, which are just a strip, but I wasn't always sure if I was reading them correctly.

@Tchelsea I'll let you know how I get on. I used them before along with an app and temping, but got a bit fed up with it all and having to input all the data so gave myself a break for a month. I have Flo and Ovia Fertility apps, they predict a similar fertile period, just a one day difference between them

So I didn't use OPK's this month (wish I had!!) and my temperature says I ovulated on day 13! Compared to day 21 last month. Bizarre...
We dtd a couple times sort of in the right time frame, but not feeling v hopeful for this month.

@Goodyear2019 @Tchelsea pretty sure it's ovulation as my temp has stayed up above the threshold, and I had EWCM and tender N's.
