Morning all, happy Friday!
My AF started properly yesterday. I had light spotting since Sunday when I normally only get that for 2 days prior to AF so not sure what was going on there!

Welcome @SunStruck How are you getting on with the temping?

@TChelsea how are you today, any ovulation pains yet?

SunStruck · 29/03/2019 11:15

@Goodyear2019 hi there! Smileyes getting on fine with natural cycles app, took a while to get accurate but it is very accurate now! Started tempting in October last year and this is cycle 2 of TTC. Currently 5th DPO.

What about you?

Tchelsea · 29/03/2019 11:50

@Goodyear2019 Ah no, I'm sorry to hear that! How are you feeling? Yes! The pains came yesterday evening, but DH was out so didn't manage to dtd, but we did on Wednesday night so fingers crossed it was in the right time frame! Had a dip in my BBT on Tuesday as well and then quite a high rise today so think yesterday was the day!

@Goodyear2019 sorry to hear that, hope you're feeling ok!

@Tchelsea fingers crossed! If it doesn't happen for me this cycle I might be tempted to try tracking my BBT as it seems to be very popular!

Goodyear2019 · 29/03/2019 18:02

@starstruck That's good that your cycles pretty accurate, sometimes that's half the battle figuring out when you're ovulating!
I've just finished cycle #9 of TTC so it's on to cycle #10 for me!

Goodyear2019 · 29/03/2019 18:03

Thanks you @TChelsea and @als2912 I feel ok, I was expecting it so I hadn't got my Hope's up

als2912 · 01/04/2019 08:18

Morning everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, how are you all feeling?

SunStruck · 01/04/2019 09:07

@als2912 all fine thanks, what about you?

I am currently either 6 or 8 days DPO (depending on if I trust my temping or clearblue advanced digital OPK). I have some cramping, just like when AF is about to come. I still don't really know when my period should be due because I've come off the pill a few months back and it has taken a while for my cycles to adjust.

When should I do an early pregnancy test (I picked up one I can do 3 days before expected period, but I don't know when my expected period is?!).

Tchelsea · 01/04/2019 09:18

Morning @als2912 not too bad over here thanks. Weekend was nice, how about you?

Found Mother's Day a bit hard tbh, looking at everyone with their children and their babies! Then felt awful about feeling that way.

@SunStruck I would try to avoid testing early if you can. I've done this every cycle and it only ends in heartbreak, with one of my cycles showing a vvvvfl only for AF to come the next day! If you're not sure when your period is due, I would test around 14/15 dpo.

@SunStruck that's good and yeah all ok thank you 😊 I agree with @Tchelsea if you can try and hold out a bit longer if you're not sure when AF is due, even though it is super hard!

@Tchelsea Glad you had a good weekend, mine was nice too 😊 I totally understand what you mean but one good thing I try and think about is that we've got that all to come all the lovely messages etc 💜

Danimarie · 01/04/2019 10:37

Good morning everyone!

AF arrived on Saturday 🙄 I do feel a bit down especially as it was Mother’s Day yesterday. @Tchelsea I too found it hard yesterday - hope you are ok! I’m trying to keep a PMA but it’s tough sometimes.

@Sunstruck I agree with @Als2912 and would hold out for a bit longer - easier said than done!

Happy Monday everyone 🙂 hope you all have a good start to the week!

SunStruck · 01/04/2019 10:39

Thanks all, I will hold out for sure, I was thinking 10 days DPO or is that still early?

SunStruck · 01/04/2019 10:40

So I would be either 10 or 12 days DPO by then (not 100 percent sure of the ovulation day).

als2912 · 01/04/2019 11:16

@SunStruck I'm not too sure to be totally honest 🤔my AF is due next Wednesday 10th according to my Ovia app and I'm thinking about doing an early test at the weekend possibly as it will only be 3-4 days before AF is due x

Goodyear2019 · 01/04/2019 11:43

Sorry to hear that @Danimarie. Not a good day for it to arrive at all! I did find Mother's Day a little bit difficult but fingers crossed we'll all be celebrating our first mother's day next year!

Hoping87 · 01/04/2019 13:10

Hello all....so I’m on cd33, did a test this morning and it was negative, so just going to have to wait and see when af shows up this month...hoping I don’t have another 54 day cycle! Feel quite emotional today so whether that means af is only round the corner who knows?!

Thanks @Danimarie I feel a bit grumpy but I'm sure that'll pass!

@als2912 Yes exactly, it's so exciting to think of what's to come!

@SunStruck some people get a BFP at 10dpo, but I would definitely try and hold out until 14 if you can!

@Hoping87 Think it's really hard to know whether emotions are through the trauma of TTC or actual hormones!

Hi @EvelineUK, personally I use Glow and Ovia apps and I've just started temping. If I'm not successful in the next month I will probably do opk's

als2912 · 01/04/2019 13:35

@Hoping87 still got my fingers crossed for you, you never know! 🤞🏼

Hi @EvelineUK 😊 I have just started using the Ovia app and it's been quite good so far as you can input so much information to help try and get the right days. I've tried some cheapy ovulation strips but I wasn't that impressed to be totally honest. How do you normally track it?

Danimarie · 01/04/2019 13:50

I have my fingers crossed for you @Hoping87!

@Tchelsea I feel the same but I’m always a bit grumpy on a Monday 🤣 tomorrow is a new day and I’m going to try to use that mentality towards ovulation too!

@Goodyear2019 you are so right! Hopefully by the next Mother’s day we will all be celebrating it 🙂

Hi @EvelineUK I am using the Clue app to monitor my periods and also Clearblue digital ovulation to pinpoint when I’m ovulating.

Hi @EvelineUK I was logging all my symptoms every month in both Flo and Ovia and taking my BBT first thing in the morning and also using the OPKs. I found I was getting too obsessed with it all so cut back a bit the last couple months. My cycle is fairly regular so I can usually narrow down my fertile window. I've stopped the temping and now only record my AF and the day I get a positive OPK in the apps, which is more just so I can check back on patterns as I'll never remember otherwise. I used OPKs this last month and plan to use them next month to pinpoint my days. However, now I've got it narrowed down I only use a few tests per month.

@EvelineUK Clue is good although I don’t think it’s very accurate with my most fertile days as Clearblue always indicates that I am a few days earlier for my most window than Clue. I might try Ovia and Flo as seen them recommended a few times! What app do you use?

@Goodyear2019 do you prefer one to the other? Or is there is a difference?
