TTC 1st baby

Hi All,

In the tww of my first cycle trying for my first baby.... learning so much reading through some of these threads! Would be lovely to have people to talk to that are going through the same thing!

@als2912 ooohhh! What made your Ovia app change? I update mine every day but there's been no shift!

The only thing I added before it changed days was the CM to say it was sort of watery (sorry if TMI). Originally my fertile period was Sunday 23rd to Thursday this week and after that yesterday it changed to thursday 21st to yesterday but then I've still had negative OPK's so god knows what's going on 🙈

No idea what's going on with my cycle this month. Had spotting on Sunday and Monday. Based on previous months I expected AF yesterday (Tuesday) but just had very light spotting, although that would have been earlier than my apps are predicting. No spotting so far today. I use two different apps, I don't input a lot of information, but one predicts AF on Thursday and the other Saturday... so who the heck knows lol!

@Hoping87 there would be no harm in testing if AF hasn't arrived by Sunday, I probably wouldn't be able to resist waiting any longer!

@Goodyear2019 I'm going with what @Tchelsea said the other day that our bodies definitely know when we're ttc 😂🙈 I love to plan everything in my life but this is just one thing I'm having to just go with the flow with 🙈

@als2912 I'm the same, I like to have a plan! I find the waiting so frustrating, waiting for fertile window, the TWW etc. I wish I could just know straight away so I can crack on with the next month haha!

@Goodyear2019 yeah it's so frustrating I'm fed up of having AF now too, every month it arrives it's just so disheartening 🤦🏽‍♀️ I'm not normally an impatient person but when you want something so bad it's hard not to be haha x

@als9212 I realised something that actually made me feel really sad, if I'm not pregnant this month (which I don't think I am) that means we wont have a baby this year ...I know it doesn't really matter and that if it's next year that's ok, but next year just seems so far away. Not sure if I've explained that properly or makes any sense, but it's just made me feel really down

@Goodyear2019 I thought of that yesterday too when my dates on the app changed and I'd felt like I'd lost a couple of days to try for this month. I totally understand what you mean and how you feel 🙁 We've got to try and keep positive and know that we will get there eventually and know that when it does happen that it will feel extra special 💜

@als2912 I know it's silly but each month I think, if I get pregnant this time then baby will be due around XX month and then I think about what that would be like e.g. it would be born close to my birthday or DH's birthday or in time for Christmas etc. Although it's disappointing when it doesn't happen I still try to imagine/visualise what it'll be like, I feel like if I believe it'll happen then it will!

I do the same and I think it all goes back to the feeling of needing to plan everything, especially when people say about future events and you sort of think well by then I could have an extra little person with me 🤔my cousin who is basically my best friend told me last week that she was pregnant and I felt it just added just that little bit more pressure as we've always talk about what it would be like when we have kids even though I try to not let it get to me 🤦🏽‍♀️

I do the same, thinking ahead to booking holidays or going to wedding thinking we might have a baby by then, how that'll change things etc.
It's tough when other people announce their pregnancies, totally understandable to be upset or think 'what if', but like you say keep positive and it'll be even more exciting when it does happen :-)

I feel exactly the same about the added pressure when someone else announces they are pregnant. It’s so hard to keep perspective but I’m confident it will happen for you :-) sending good vibes! I wish I could take my own advice...

I do exactly the same with working out due dates etc. I suppose it’s so hard not to when you are excited for the future and what it can bring.

I’ve stopped spotting now and AF is due on Monday. I still feel a tiny bit hopeful but we shall see....

How is everyone doing?

Morning @Tchelsea how are you? I'm personally a bit unsure, I've had odd twinges in my lower stomach area almost like a pinching feeling for the last couple of days but nothing else has really been happening so just going to have to wait to see if AF arrives in a couple of weeks 🤔

Morning....I’ve been having really crazy dreams over the last 4/5 nights and I remember them, I’m not normally a big dreamer.....and had a dull headache most of yesterday....don’t know whether I’m reading too much into it though! Hope everyone’s ok xx

@als2912 the symptom spotting is crazy isn't it! When is AF due?

Hey @Hoping87 crazy dreams are a good sign! Have you decided when you're going to test?

I'm in my fertile window, I normally ovulate on day 10 and get quite strong ovulation pains, but it's now day 11 and I haven't had any pains, so I'm not sure i'm going to ovulate this month! Weird for me cause I get ovulation pains every month!

@Tchelsea I’m going to wait and see if af makes an appearance on Sunday then test Monday I think x

Same here 😃 First baby, cycle 2 and 4 DPO. Tempting like crazy, dreading temp will drop every morning 😕

@Tchelsea according to my app AF is due on the 10th April which seems so far away 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

@als2912 Gosh it does seem far doesn't it, but it's only around the corner!

@SunStruck This will be our 4th cycle, so no not really compared to other people! One of our cycles though we just missed the window totally so technically 3 cycles of really trying!
