@joylondon Ugh I'm sorry! Has AF arrived or has your temp stayed down? I didn't actually know that so I'll try that! Thank you!

@GoodYear2019 have my fingers crossed for you. From what I have read of the clearblue OPKs you were in the perfect window (feels like ages since I was on)

@Tchelsea I hear you about the testing. I have gone through 3 first response and 3 clear blue in two months. The joys of jumping the gun!! Once you start temping its easy to do, but I stopped last weekend as I was away for a night, and I have yet to start it again!

@Joylondon, sorry to hear that!! I agree with the ladies that you should treat yourself to something, mine is normally a take away after walking the dog so I don't have to cook!!

I am not married so people don't really ask me about kids, but bloody hell if I am asked one more time when we are tying the knot I will flip. DP is still married (need to be separated 4 years in Irl before divorce - they are nearly 5 years but she is making it difficult which could make it very expensive). It got to the stage on christmas eve that my sister decided to take it upon herself to tell my cousins the DP was married because EVERY TIME I see them they ask when I am getting married as they want to go to a wedding. My uncles and everything are at it.

They will be very upset when I turn up and tell them I am married as when we do tie the knot it will purely for legal reasons, I don't want "the day out".

Goodyear2019 · 21/03/2019 15:35

Thanks, hoping this is lucky cycle #9 for me, but not feeling hopeful. I don't feel any different to how I normally do or have any symptoms of any kind. Although AF not due for at least another 8 or 9 days so will have to wait and see.

The temping took a bit of practice for me, although haven't been doing it this month or last. It definitely makes a difference if you do it at different times of day.

joylondon · 21/03/2019 21:33

Thanks gals.. ugh it's been an annoying few days. I had brown spotting for 3 days and I think finally my period is here today.. it's sooo light though. My temps haven't fully dropped like they normally do either.

@Goodyear2019 really hope this is it for you!! Surely one of us will get good news soon!!! Xx

ImMeantToBeWorking · 22/03/2019 11:57

@GoodYear keeping everything crossed for you. Now just the dreaded wait. 😖

@Joylondon any update? Sorry if it wasn't to be.

Tchelsea · 22/03/2019 13:48

@joylondon how is AF today? Still light?

Goodyear2019 · 22/03/2019 13:49

I really want someone on here to get some good news soon, it'll give me hope that my good news wont be far off either!

@Tchelsea @ImMeantToBeWorking oh my goodness AF has been so heavy today. Nightmare when you're at work! I think it was just taking ages to start.

I've just started acupuncture again.. to see if it helps make my cycle more regular. Last month was 35 days and this month 26! It's never usually this bad.

Tchelsea · 22/03/2019 15:27

@Goodyear2019 Yes me too!! It would be amazing to have some positive news!!

@joylondon Ugh I'm sorry! Mine are so painful at the moment and they weren't before I started ttc! I'm sure our bodies like torturing us!

OP posts:
Goodyear2019 · 22/03/2019 15:41

@joylondon I'd be really interested to hear about your experience of acupuncture. I don't have irregular cycles but would like to know if others find it helps with any issues they're having. I know some people don't rate those types of therapies because they're not scientifically proven.

joylondon · 22/03/2019 17:36

@Tchelsea ugh it's so bizarre. I think my body is still recovering from the copper iud removal. Even though doctors say it's not a big deal, my accupuncturist says it takes a few months to get back to normal.

@Goodyear2019 I'll let you know for sure. I'm doing it for cycle regularity, ibs and chronic pain... lol. So many issues 😂

Goodyear2019 · 24/03/2019 09:12

This morning when I went to the bathroom I had a bit of spotting. I usually get this a day or two before AF but that's not due until Friday. Could it be a sign of anything else, or is that just wishful thinking?! I try really hard not to symptom spot but its hard not to!

Tchelsea · 25/03/2019 14:34

@Goodyear2019 How many dpo are you? Could it be implantation?

OP posts:
Goodyear2019 · 25/03/2019 15:39

@Tchelsea I got the 'smiley face' on the ClearBlue OPK on the 13th, so 12 days ago. I don't know if it's implantation, think I'm clutching at straws. Had a bit more spotting today so think it's more than likely that AF will arrive properly tomorrow. It's just unusual for me to be so early.

als2912 · 25/03/2019 15:54

Do you all recommend the clear blue OPK's over anything else? My Ovia app says this week is my fertile week and I've had a couple of twinges yesterday and today but I might just be overthinking it? I've done a couple of basic OPK's but they've come back negative so far.

Goodyear2019 · 25/03/2019 16:01

als2912 I tried cheaper strip tests that I ordered from Amazon (someone on a different thread here mentioned them) but I found that they weren't as clear to read (well mine weren't anyway). Whereas the ClearBlue ones are easier, you either get a smiley face or an empty circle. However, they are more expensive and we've now been trying for 9 months so the money does add up.

Danimarie · 25/03/2019 16:02

Hi everyone!

I am also TTC (first timer!) and currently in my two week wait which is excruciating! We have been TTC since December and no joy yet (although last month I was very nauseous and tired but think I unfortunately had an early miscarriage). I’m hoping this month is the month I get a BFP although had some brown spotting yesterday (I’m due on in 7 days) Xx

als2912 · 25/03/2019 16:16

@Danimarie hi! 😊sorry to hear that hopefully you'll have some good news soon!

@Goodyear2019 yeah that's exactly what I've been using cheap ones off amazon but I might give the Clear Blue ones a try just to see 🤔

Tchelsea · 26/03/2019 09:32

@Goodyear2019 I honestly think your body just knows when you're trying for a baby, and everything just starts to change. All of your hormones and cycles. My cycles have been so weird since we started trying. I really hope it's not AF, i'm crossing absolutely everything I can possibly cross for you!

Hi @Danimarie! The TWW is the worst! I try and find something to do to keep my head busy so I don't think about it! How are you feeling?

OP posts:
Danimarie · 26/03/2019 10:16

Hi @Goodyear2019 and @Als2912! Thanks for your messages!

@Goodyear2019 I’m feeling ok but have resigned myself that it isn’t happening this month but we shall see! Think I am feeling worse this month as a girl at work has just announced she’s 12 weeks pregnant and they were only trying for 1 month. I know so many people that have said it happened instantly for them and it’s made me feel a bit anxious. Have you felt like that?

Hoping87 · 26/03/2019 13:07

Got a question for you....I had my last period on 28th Feb....however that was after a 55 day cycle, my previous 2 cycles were only 31 days....(stopped the pill in October)....I’m not tracking ovulation as such as I didn’t want to get into all that straight away.....question is Sunday will be 31 days....if she doesn’t come should I test or just wait and see???

Tchelsea · 26/03/2019 13:39

@Hoping87 Do you normally have longer cycles or was it just the one? I would be inclined to test if AF doesn't show up on Sunday. I'd probably actually test towards the end of this week if it was me, but then I have no willpower when it comes to tests! AF in February, was it normal?

OP posts:
Hoping87 · 26/03/2019 14:03

@Tchelsea it was only my 3rd period since stopping the pill in October but when it did arrive it was the same as the other 2 had been! I’ve got no symptoms so guessing it will be negative but you never know I suppose! X

als2912 · 26/03/2019 14:19

Just updated my ovia app today and it's come up with there's been a shift in my fertile period and it's showing today as my last day so we'd best get a move on tonight haha 😂 woke up feeling a bit nauseous this morning and lasted most of the morning and a couple of twinges again so hopefully a good sign that things are working as they should 🤞🏼then it will be the dreaded tww! 🙈
