Lol Karigan definitely baby brain!

Gizmojo I’ve ovulated a few time in the last couple of years straight after AF. It does happen as you get older. I find if the hot flashes stop suddenly that ovulation is imminent due to the oestrogen rise. Could this be the case with you?

Gizmojo · 11/01/2019 19:02

@littlemimosa Yeah I guess that could be what it is. Gutted, that means another month lost and no pattern to my cycles if I’ve gone from O on day 19 to day 6 :-(

Keep temping gizmojo, it could just be random fp temps, they can be a bit haywire before ov. Do you use normal thermomitor or an ava bracelet? My temps would do absolutely anything with a thermomitor, but are a lot more steady and reliable with ava

Gizmojo that’s exactly why they aren’t certain about my dates as I had a period on the 5th nov where I seemed to ovulate straight away then came on again on the 25th nov. Then found out I was pregnant 27 dec. so either I had a short cycle of 20 days or it was an implantation bleed. We won’t know until the dating scan

I'm sorry I'm so terrible at following and replying to everyone's story...I'm listening to all posts and really care about you all getting good news.

Dickiebow- great news! Excited for you!

Realitysucks- urghhh about your sister. I hope you get a huge big BFP and prove her wrong! Some people are just self involved.

Karigan- I'm not sure the baby brain ever goes away...but all in a good cause!

@Karigan195 - baby brain kicked in very early for me too! I spent ages looking for a bottle of Palmers Coconut oil that I'd just bought one afternoon - thought I had put it in the bathroom but couldn't find it anywhere. Eventually gave up thinking I must have left it on the counter in the chemist. That evening DH comes upstairs with it in his hand and says "guess where I found this?" Turns out I'd put in in the kitchen condiments cupboard with the tomato ketchup 🤣

There seems to be a lot of us hanging around in the 2WW getting confused by our cycles.... I'm on day 23 and think the part behind the nipples might be a bit sore but can't work out if it's just muscular....I hate getting 2WW symptoms as they always, always mean AF is coming. It's horrible because it puts a big dampener on hopes even before AF shows up. I'm always amazed people symptom spot....I don't want any symptoms, thanks! Is anyone else like me?

Does anyone go from thinking I really want a baby to this is not the best idea? I have spent a long time deciding to try for another .. hence my age! And I can go from thinking yes this is absolutely the best thing to do to omg this is scary and I'm opening myself up to loads of pain, worry and stress .. in the space of a day!

I definitely think hormones have an effect because I feel very strongly around ovulation time that this is absolutely the right thing to do and then my worries kick in after that and I think just be grateful for what you've got...

If only I could stop worrying!

hmmm123- no, not me but I'm the proud owner of an 18 month old who is currently refusing to sleep so I'm still in the chaotic stage. I didn't get married until gone 40 so everything for me has just happened later. I can imagine it would be really hard to go from independent offspring back to the baby days many years later. But I'm sure it would be fun and interesting to do motherhood as a young and energetic 20something as well as a wise and experienced 40something. Remind me how many you have and what ages?

@Realitysucks I don’t know much about ivf, but I am so sorry about your sister. She should be helping and advising you, having just been through the same herself. I can’t understand it really, she has her pregnancy and is past the uncertain stage, why an earth can’t she support you! She must know exactly how hard it is to go through ttc and ivf. Sending lots of love xxx

Realitysucks- I wonder if your sister just wants all the attention to herself. Whatever the reason, I hope she becomes more supportive with time.

Yes Hmmmmm often!

Gizmojo- your cycles sound like mine recently. It’s frustrating isn’t it. All I can recommend is TCM and acupuncture. It has helped me a lot so far (even tho I just did ovulate CD6 too I had missed 3 weeks due to the Xmas holiday). Last cycle I ovulated CD13/14 for the first time in months and I felt so balanced. It’s also very relaxing.

So I’m sat here reading It Starts With The Egg. omg what a lot of info in one book. I’m glued to it and have already put my blueberries in a glass container and flossed my teeth lol. Has anyone read it? Cleo I know you have, have you actually implemented anything??

Just a couple of things whilst I remember to post them!

I’m sure I read somewhere that AMH results can vary depending on which lab does the testing, so please do not hang on to this number too much.
Also, on my first round of IVF almost three years ago now, I was on the highest stimms, took ages to get ovaries to right size and only ended up with three ‘average’ eggs. With an AMH of 4. But I did end up with my beautiful, in no way average DS! When it comes down to it, quality is the key I think. My last failed round of IVF, my AMH was down to 2.5 but I still ended up with two ‘good’ eggs, but no BFP.
For those who are going through or about to start IVF, it only takes one ‘average’ egg!!

Report
Realitysucks · 11/01/2019 23:11

Omg @SparrowSG you have just made me feel so much better.! Only one egg is all I need and my AMH is 4 as well!

Thanks everyone re sister, @PeterRabbit I think you are right and was exactly what my DH said. It does make me sad though.

So I’ve had a very down day today. Had to go out tonight for drinks! With DH friends for his friends birthday, only to sit in a packed pub whilst everyone was drinking and drinking my tonic and lime in a wine glass. I could have cried at DH when he said well you chose to stop drinking 😡🤯. Needless to say sometimes he doesn’t think before he speaks and he ended with a short sharp bollocking outside. I felt better but hormones all over the place and now I want to cry! @hmmm123 at that point I was like really do I want to do this ! Obviously he was horrendously apologetic after his rollicking outside and actually realised what he had said!

Checking in @Orchid222 How are you?

This thread moves so fast which is great but I can't keep up!

Welcome @Ellie

@Sparrow so good you're hear and so happy about your news!

@Rose68 so sorry about BFN

Everyone else hope all are doing well, AFM I am on day 4 of stims all good, no side effects have my CD7 Ultrasound on Sunday and will see how its all progressing and flying out to Clinic on Tuesday and not quite sure when EC will be!

I had a major inner anxiety pang this morning, just worrying about everything, that they will scan me and say there is no lining, no progression with follicles and I lay in bed having all these thoughts and the other side of my brain was telling me to think positive!

@Crittertammer thank you so much for explaining all you do on your threads, I've learned more from you on here than any other 'professional' has ever told me!

@Booseysmom, @Cleozeta, @littlemimosa @Chatbash72 @Russkispy, @realitysucks hope all okay with you all

Let's you wear a gown they'll probably let you keep your bra on but that's it. Also they have pretty sterile conditions and the eggs and embryos are v sensitive so no deodorant, make up, even nail varnish, at least that's what my clinic told me.

Welcome to the new ladies and congrats on the bfp's- the thread is moving too fast to keep up!

I'm ok thank you everyone for asking. Off on a really long holiday so will finally have some time to post about my recent emotional rollercoaster and get your advice on a couple of things.

Checking in 😊 happy weekend to all!

Still impatient awaiting AF 🙄

@mimosa I read that too! I also dumped a lot of plastic and started ubiquinol. The other thing was nail polish - very minor I'm sure but I didn't want to risk it so threw most of mine away. I've never really managed to get back into it but now I have crap nails anyway Hmm lol x

@hmmm123 when they are screaming getting ready for school and I'm in the shower I do think how would I juggle this with a baby.. but I have been very blessed to have had 3 under 4... so if I can survive that... bring it on... although I do get teased by my friend who keeps saying that twins is more likely as you get older..how would I juggle that??? I'd be blessed to try..
@Realitysucks sisters!!! It's a hard relationship.. me and mine aren't close but I think that sometimes some people ( I say people because it's not just mums it's dads too) when they become pregnant become all consuming and can't think about any thing or anyone but themselves or their pregnancy.. it makes it difficult to keep the relationship as it was.. sending lots of love and you have lots of support from us here..
ohhh @Realitysucks I am drink free too and get how full drinks is when watching everyone else... sending big hugs for your rubbish day.. glad dh has apologised..
@Letsdothis43 that made me smile... clinic ready 🤣🤣🤣
Sending lots of love to you all.... think we need it this month post Christmas, post afs and dreaded tww's
