Ohh @Realitysucks I'm not sure of the terminology either but it seems early to be scanning.. if you are still on 2nd day of period and you have all those af hormones and emotions too.. big big hugs..
in a bid to stay positive and not put life on hold I have just finally managed to get tickets for les Mis with Michael and Alfie... however I was working out month timings on my fingers and opted for earlier rather than too later in the year.. big bump in seat rather than finding someone to look after a newborn.. power of positive thinking 🤣🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Realitysucks · 08/02/2019 17:17

@hobbes39 @chatbash72 I know it’s early days but I expected something to be happening. I feel so sick today like morning sickness it’s horrible. I really felt like something was happening as I felt so rough so to be told nothing yet I was gutted and just broke down. There’s me thinking I’ll get to egg collection and may not even get there now. I’m hoping the new drugs will make me feel better but still have to get to Tuesday 😞

Realitysucks · 08/02/2019 17:18

@chatbash you’re post made me laugh though 🤣

Chatbash72 · 08/02/2019 17:29

@Realitysucks... look at emma cannon on Instagram @emmalcannon i think.. she is very calming on her thoughts about fertility.. but everyone is unique and everyone's journey is different, our experiences are different and how our bodies reacts to everything is unique to us.. your reaction to the hormones is how your body reacts and just because your follicles are the size they are isn't a good or bad thing.. it's your body doing it's own unique thing..
And I'm glad I made you 🙂 💕💕

@Cleozeta
@Karigan195

@Booseysmom
@Littlemimosa

Thank you all for asking, took my HPT yesterday 14dp5dt and it was a BFN, was so so sad, I knew with one egg I had a slim chance and it being my first IVF cycle but I still had a little hope, had a little cry with hubby and my Mum! and now in the mindset of preparing for the next cycle. Please any ideas welcome, Losing weight is my first priority, and upping the supplements.

@Critter great news on the scan!

Hobbes39 · 08/02/2019 17:50

@Realitysucks - once your follicles start to grow they can grow 2mm a day, so there's a lot can happen in a few days. Hopefully the change in drug will help kick start things. If I'd been scanned at day 3 of drugs (I took mine in the morning) then I doubt my follicles would have looked much better this time than yours.
One thing I've learnt over the course of this whole ivf journey is that they are guessing what will work half the time and that there's not a lot that we can do about how well it works, as it's a lot down to luck. I can see why they would consider cancelling if there is no change at the next scan, but hopefully even if things have only progressed a little, that shows sign that something is happening, so they can just keep you on stims a few more days. Will keep everything crossed for you - it's a hard hard process and every time you don't hear the best news it's utterly demoralising - I hope it's better news in a few days x

Hobbes39 · 08/02/2019 17:57

Oh @Letsdothis43 - just seen your message - I'm so sorry.
Treat yourself and let yourself be miserable for a bit - I found pretending everything was ok after my failed cycles really draining... so for yourself time to just feel it, but focusing on the next round does help.
In terms of what you do, I don't know - what stims were you on again? X

Letsdothis43 · 08/02/2019 18:25

@Hobbes39 I was on Clomifene 3 x a day for 5 days and
Menopur 75ul a day for 7 days. Forget the name of the injection for 3 days before EC and trigger

Letsdothis43 · 08/02/2019 18:27

Cetrocide injections thats it!

Marty77 · 08/02/2019 18:32

Hi

I'm a bit confused I was due on today, I had a little bit of pink blood when I wiped yesterday morning and I thought here we go, this was the only month I thought we'd actually cracked it was disappointed but got on with my day.

Since then I haven't come in I've got like discharge and a little blood no cramps etc I thought I'd got caught because my nipples are dark and veiny.

I suppose wait I do t want to test to be disappointed again

M

Cleozeta · 08/02/2019 20:05

Lets - so sorry it didn't work this time. Try to look ahead to your next cycle, they always say chances are better after 1st cycle, so fingers crossed.

Marty - good luck!

Letsdothis43 · 09/02/2019 01:26

@Cleozeta Thanks, I am looking ahead, hope you're doing okay?

Iusedtobecarmen · 09/02/2019 07:11

Hi
I have posted on this thread before. Not for ages though as I've been feeling fed up to be honest. TTC,but Not really trying ifyswim

Anyway,recap.

I'm 48 so not looking likely is it.
I have 3 dc already all conceived naturally
Had early mc about 5 yrs ago.
Periods regular. And ovulation normal according to OPK's

Had one very late af a few months ago then back to normal

However,this month af late -8 days
But I'm.super worried as now been bleeding 11 days. Not heavy but consistently bright red. Minor abdominal and back pain throughout. Normally only bleed 4 days ish

Worried this is the beginning of the end of my fertility

CritterTamer · 09/02/2019 07:48

@Letsdothis43 - so sorry it was a BFN for you. I've been there and no how devastating it is. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat about. All the things I did to make my second cycle massively more successful than the first!

@Realitysucks - as others have said, don't lose hope yet - there's still plenty of time for those follicles to grow - 3 days of stims is early for a first scan. My clinic don't scan until day 7.

Welcome to the new/returning ladies xxx

Cleozeta · 09/02/2019 08:16

Lets - thank you, I'm ok, just trying to come up with a new plan. CD 4 currently so going to just go with the flow for this one. Skint anyway after the taxman attacked.

Iusedtobecarmen - I had a cycle when I was 40 like that. AF was about 2 weeks late, then bleeding once it started just carried on. For about 2 months until a GP perscribed something to stop it. Cycles returned to normal after, but it totally freaked me out. It was a perimenopause symptom, but they don't teach you that part of life in school. I though I was about to meat the old reaper.

Karigan195 · 09/02/2019 08:34

We worry a lot about how normal our cycles are but I got pregnant after the wierdest cycle ever. So weird the midwife wondered if it was a heavy implantation bleed rather than a cycle.

5.11.18 I had a normal for me period. Then had spotting following that for a week! Then had my next period on the 25.11.18 so only a 20 day cycle and it lasted just one day. So I had a grand total of about 5 days with no bleeding at all.

By the 25.11.18 I was thinking that it was probably peri menopause mucking with me but after the spotting started taking b6 and magnesium inthe hope that it would get rid of the spotting.

Next cycle my period never showed and I realised I was pregnant on the day after Boxing Day! Totally unexpected as that weird cycle was so wrong I thought it was the beginning of the end and id actually given up some time before thinking it was never going to happen. That weird cycle felt like the nail in the coffin yet it wasn’t.

olivia12 · 09/02/2019 09:19

Hi all,

Sorry I’ve been silent, just super busy at work.
I want to send good vibes to anyone waiting and congrats for the ones that had good news. Pls everyone do not give up hope!!!

I’m in the 2WW. I finally worked out when I was ovulating using these small sticks I got from Amazon. They are super cheap and really work.
I ovulated a lot later than I imagined, so it was useful to pinpoint when to dtd.
We dtd 1 day before ov and 1 day after. Fingers crossed. I’m on 26 day of my cycle and who knows when my period is due, as I ovulated on the 23rd day of my cycle!!!

My DP doesn’t like to know when my fertile week is as he doesn’t like the pressure 🤦‍♀️ so I just get on with it and initiate sex when I decide the time is right!

Rose68 · 09/02/2019 09:23

@Iusedtobecarmen I’m on a fb group and there are quite a few ladies in their late 40’s who have had a child. So it seems it is still possible for some. There is one who is 49 and pregnant with twins, but she has admitted using donor eggs.

Hobbes39 · 09/02/2019 10:23

Morning all. Having a wobble this morning. Today is the first day in 2 weeks I haven't felt queasy all the time - and while it has been hard going feeling nauseous all the time, it was reassuring. Now tho, so far this morning I'm feeling fine and my breasts are slightly less tender too. So I'm scared. I'm scared that there's something wrong but my body doesn't know it yet. I'm 6w3d - scan is on wed next week when I should be 7w. The missed miscarriages I've had the baby has stopped growing around this time...I'm so scared history is repeating. I've been so desperate for relief from the nausea but now it's not here I feel totally on edge. Ug.

Rose68 · 09/02/2019 11:42

@Hobbes39 try not to worry, pregnancy symptoms do come & go x

Karigan195 · 09/02/2019 12:42

They really do come and go. I have quite a few days of being absolutely fine then a day of throwing up for no apparent reason. Right now at 11 weeks I just feel like a bloated whale

Iusedtobecarmen · 09/02/2019 13:17

rose thanks
I'm more mithered about this bleeding at the moment
I've got like proper period type pains but it's not the start of AF it's 11 days in.
I could go and see gp Monday but then I guess they will say it's my age. However,I always thought AF over 7 days is not normal?

KristieP2018 · 09/02/2019 13:20

Today is the first day since ovulation I don’t feel tired at all. Boobs aren’t even a little sore and no cramps today. Other than zero appetite, I feel fine. I’m 8/9 dpo so there’s still time but no symptoms makes me think this wasn’t our cycle again.

Marty77 · 09/02/2019 13:33

Hi

Still waiting with batted breath period still hasn't come but got the slight but if blood sometimes when I wipe.

DP thinks I am but he doesn't seem to think because I've had some blood I can be.

Worked it out and Thurs is when I should have come on and that's when I had the slightest bit of blood then it stopped it was more mucus and pink blood sorry TMI.

Just between a rock and a hard place do t want to test I'll be so upset if it's neg putting it off, I thought if my cycle was longer that could be why but I never have spotting mid cycle and have been very much on time.

I've also been moody, hungry and boobs very veiny.

Thank god for
Mumsnet can't tell my friends

Rose68 · 09/02/2019 13:52

@Marty77 the only way to know is to test. Good luck x
