Saw this linked in another thread @Hobbes39 and all

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/pregnancy-tests-urine-sample.php

Facts about best time of day to test. God I'm impatient 😂

LynnC77 · 18/01/2019 22:02

Aw congrats @Hobbes39 x

Presh12345 · 19/01/2019 07:40

Hope everyone doing ok. Just back from my scan after being on Gonal F for 6 days. I'm CD 8 and he says follicles are almost ready. This will be iui#3. 1&2 were only with left ovary as right wasn't doing anything. This time, right has 5 follicles ready on it and he says it must have "wakened up". I've read, but have no idea how much truth there is, that pregnancy is much more successful with right ovary rather than left. IUI will be this week, I'll have the pineapple core and the McD's chips at the ready!!!

Chatbash72 · 19/01/2019 10:28

Yay @Presh12345.. I always niggle on the R.. good to know.. enjoy the chips 🍟

Cleozeta · 19/01/2019 17:05

Whats the benefit of mcd's chips?

littlemimosa · 19/01/2019 20:01

Good luck Presh! Hope this is your time. Interesting about the right ovary.....

I think she said the benefit of chips was the salt?

So i've finished It Starts with The egg. It's very good, loads and loads of real research and stuff to back up her ideas. The only disappointment for me is that most of it I already do. Sigh. At least I know that I'm doing all i can.

Russkispy · 19/01/2019 20:54

@Presh12345 , good luck with your IUI. With my both successful IUIs, my dominant follicle was in the right ovary. I also had unsuccessful IUIs with a dominant follicle being in the left ovary. Coincidence? Who knows.

PetraRabbit · 19/01/2019 22:55

Congratulations to the BFPs!!

Dickiebow- I hope it works out for you. Sending you so much luck!

This is such a busy thread I feel bad not to address everyone but I'm hoping you all get the BFP you dream of soon....

PetraRabbit · 19/01/2019 23:01

Oh and chatbash...thanks for the positive thoughts on fertility over 40. I think we all need to read a post like yours from time to time....or every day really...

Angelbabyollie. I read your story before and it is so sad. I'm sorry about your boy. I think you have a good chance to get pregnant again. The stress you must have been under would affect your cycles I am sure. And you already have had a few children which is supposed to increase your chances of having more apparently, so that statistic works in your favour.

Hobbes39 · 20/01/2019 08:34

It's a nice strong line this morning at 8dp3dt! Just hope that we finally get all the way to an actual baby this time!

Over 40 ttc- lots of baby dust for me!
Chatbash72 · 20/01/2019 08:39

Congratulations @Hobbes39 that's some really strong lines.. xx

littlemimosa · 20/01/2019 09:09

Wow Hobbes, such string lines! Great news. Is that equivalent to 12dpo?

Hobbes39 · 20/01/2019 09:18

@littlemimosa if you add the 2 numbers together you get the equivalent to dpo - so I'm same as 11dpo. Can't quite believe it. Trying not to get too excited tho.. as long way to go yet. X

onemorego2019 · 20/01/2019 09:26

@Hobbes39 how are you? Are you re testing today? Xx

onemorego2019 · 20/01/2019 09:29

Ignore my last post...screen hadn't refreshed @Hobbes39

I couldn't get another frer as they were sold out! Here is my result on cb

Fingers crossed 🤞

Over 40 ttc- lots of baby dust for me!

It's a long road still but hopefully this is the time 🤞🤞

onemorego2019 · 20/01/2019 09:54

@Hobbes39 thank you x and congratulations to you too xx

mellongoose · 20/01/2019 10:17

@onemorego2019 and @Hobbes39 fantastic to see these healthy looking BFPs. Lovely news!

I'm starting to feel brighter with a few wobbles. I miss my little girl (I will always hold her in my heart) and the thought of not snuggling a newborn of my own ever again compounds the sadness. My mum told me to assume I will have another baby at some point (for now). Then I can think rationally in a few months when I'm much stronger. We have one perfect healthy gorgeous DD so they think this was an unlucky one off.

For now, I am taking the vitamins and starting some gentle exercise to build myself up again. I've just stopped bleeding today (2 weeks on from delivery).

We will see how things progress. It's still early days and we won't be actively TTC for a while yet (if ever). If I did get pregnant again I've been told they would scan me much more often. I would also be offered "non invasive " tests to find anything much earlier. They can't prevent another loss but they can find things much earlier so in theory it wouldn't be as traumatic this time.

onemorego2019 · 20/01/2019 11:56

Thank you @mellongoose so nice to hear from you. Very wise words from your mum. Lots of love to you xxx

anaconda76 · 20/01/2019 12:50

Hello everyone. I thought it's about time I introduce myself since I've been lurking for the past 2 weeks. I'm 42 (43 in the spring) and TTC #4 (I know, I'm a bit greedy). I have 3 DDs aged 10, 8 and 3. I've been TTC since my youngest turned 2 but not obsessively (unlike now). At the start of this year I made the mistake of reading the statistics of TTC in your 40s and it put me in a really low mood. On top of that my youngest started playgroup and has been screaming and crying every morning, making me feel like the worst parent in the world. What has got me through the past 2 weeks and cheered me up is reading all of your posts. This is such a positive and supportive thread. I've decided to hell with the statistics and that I'm just going to think positively.

CritterTamer · 20/01/2019 12:51

Congrats Hobbes and Onemorego - looking good 😊

Glad you're doing better Mellongoose - sending hugs your way xxx.

AFM we had a gender scan yesterday morning (I'm 18 weeks today) and discovered I'm carrying one boy and one girl 😊 everything was looking great for 18 weeks, with the exception of one of the placenta being low lying. Got home later in the afternoon and 10 minutes later had a nasty bleed so things aren't looking so good at the moment. Spent most of the night in the hospital - they couldn't find anything else wrong except the blood (which stopped fairly quickly and has just been a bit of brown spotting since), and heartbeats sounded OK on the doppler, but I'm booked in for an emergency scan tomorrow. Not having a great day today....

anaconda76 · 20/01/2019 13:07

CritterTamer I've heard that small bleeds and spotting is more common in twin pregnancies. It's good that it's stopped now and reassuring that the heartbeats were good. Did the doctors tell you about any possible causes for the bleeding? Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Thinking of you. x

Cleozeta · 20/01/2019 13:07

Oh no Critter, I hope all is ok. I think the fact that the scan showed all was well yesterday suggest all will be fine, but what a worry! Have you had any pain? The bleed could be related to the fact you are carrying twins perhaps? It may put a strain on certain parts that maybe a singular pregnancy wouldn't? Tbh I have no idea but I have everything crossed for you that all is well. Keep us updated.

Welcome anaconda

Mellon - big hugs to you

Hobbes & onemorego - fingers crossed for you both that this is it

CritterTamer · 20/01/2019 13:26

The consultant did say its possible that the bleed is related to the low lying placenta, although I think its usually a little later in that they cause problems. The private sonographer yesterday morning could see that it was low lying but couldnt get a good look at it as my bladder wasn't full enough - I'll make sure the hospital checks it out tomorrow.

I have had pain for about a week now, but it's kind of a tight, heavy pulling pain, very low down, not like cramps at all so I've been assuming if was normal ligament / uterus stretching pains. The consultant last night did agree that that's most likely as my tummy was nice and soft and normal feeling.

I don't know - I'm probably getting into a panic over nothing but it's so hard to not imagine the worst.

PetraRabbit · 20/01/2019 14:14

Critter- what a shame your happy news that you found out the genders is being overshadowed by some worries. I just feel it is going to be ok but take up every offer going of monitoring and checks to reassure yourself. Thinking of you!

Hobbes....that is good news. What a stressful time but you are more pregnant every day!!!

Mellon- your mum was right. Maybe it's best to take time to recover and not worry about TTC. Hugs.
