Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

@Scarletrose18 aww thank you, I’m sure I’ll be abit better tomorrow.m (hopefully). Exactly it’ll be the pill probably messing up your cycle. I’m thinking I will have a better idea of dates by how things go this month now the pill is completely out my system. That’s great, yum I think I need a bottle when I’m better for Christmas was it the lidle own deluxe one? I love their deluxe range.

@Mfbroome thanks you, he has been an absolute godsend, I feel so lucky. I hope you’re feeling better soon yourself. Sounds so tough that you’ve had to go to work, would you be able to take any sick leave?
Aww your Mum sounds amazing, I bet her help has made all the difference. The meals i cheat with really as I just usually make a massive portion of what ever we are having and freeze little toddler size meals. If I’m making lasagne for instance I’ll just make a load of mini ramekin lasagnes along side the big one and cook all together and then freeze the mini ones. I do this with casseroles/cottage pies/fish pies/soups and that sort of thing as well. Ds is going through a funny spell at the moment though where he is refusing to sit at the table. He has a booster seat at our table but isn’t keen to sit in it anymore and wants to be on the move all of the time. Me and dh are considering getting him a little table and chair to see if he’d eat there instead.
Aww I bet you’ve caught your ovulation or it hasn’t happened yet and you’ll catch it but I think you have a really good chance.

Awh sorry to hear that you've been so poorly @Cocobana, its really ghastly being ill isn't it? Your DH sounds like hes been wonderful though!
Its in my school at the moment, this evening in work a little girl was sick all over the floor (and another child, bless her) so I suspect we'll have a few more falling ill soon. Not the nicest thing to have to deal with, but only three more days until I'm off for Christmas!! 🎉🎉

I'm still getting lovely lines though no positives just yet, the fertility forecast on Ovia has risen to 2.0 so thats a good sign. I suspect we'll both be ovulating really soon!

Don't feel negative @Scarletrose18!! That positive OPK might very well come tomorrow. If you know what your luteal phase is then you should be able accurately predict your next period as soon as you ovulate, like @Cocobana said the pill might still be in your body a bit which would make you not totally regular just yet.

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling great either, @Mfbroome! So confusing trying to pinpoint ovulation isn't it? CD16 is still early though so don't worry! When is Ovia predicting you now?

@mfbroome stay hopeful because If you have a 31 day cycle this month then u have a super strong chance of ovulating still! But I understand that you have mixed feelings because u dont feel up to dtd with being ill. Thats a tough situation. If u get a positive opk even if u could dtd once or twice and get dh to do all the work 🤭🙈
Will you have to go to work tomorrow as well @mfbroome or could u have some time to rest a little (as much as u can with dc) Great that your mum is nearby to help.

It was the delux one @cocobana , just had an improptu visit from some family and the bailies has went down a treat ! 🙂 You are so organised... I need to hire you to come to my house and make freezer meals 😂. Weve had beans on toast quite a few times recently because of being so busy. Poor dh hasnt complained but im sure he would rather have a cooked meal. How are u feeling tonight now?

Oh no @pastasaucehoarder im sure that was horrible to have to work when so many are sick. Things spread so easily with kids at school dont they. Great that your fertility has risen. I know we all had a random time last cycle and it was dissapointing, do u feel positive about things this cycle? I still think one of us will get a bfp from this cycle! Theres such a good chance of it happening! 🙂🙂

@PastaSauceHoarder aww thank you, I’m getting there. Hopefully after a good sleep tonight I’ll feel better tomorrow. I’ve been just took two night nurse tablets, they knocked me out last night. Oh no I hate it when people vomit, it’s the smell alone that’s awful. Bless that little girl though it’s horrible seeing little ones poorly, hope you don’t catch it either. At least you’re off soon for Christmas, your work sounds busy. I can’t believe it’s next week, the build up is going too fast!

@Scarletrose18 I bet they’ll be dropping in more often with nice indulgent drinks like that! Ahh I try but I’m not half as organised as I’d like. It’s just handy when in a hurry and if me and dh have something ds can’t have he can just have one of his little meals. Sometimes if I get back late and ds is hungry it’s great to think I can have him a nice meal ready in minutes without having to faff on making anything from scratch. I usually make left over if doing anything toddler friendly and just whip it in freezer. Me and dh eat so much more vegetables now as I’m forever adding them to pasta sauces etc to make sure ds gets enough nutrition. There’s still lots of cheesy beans on toast lol needs must sometimes! Ds has been going through abit of a funny phase where he doesn’t want to sit at the table at his set meal times at the moment and he’s not been eating as much as normal so I’m chasing him about the house with food 🤣 Kids lol.
I’m feeling alittle better than was but still not great, i’m thinking a good nights sleep will sort me out.

Both dc are finished with school and nursery now so that's good we are just relaxing and then I have a few parcels to collect and wrap :)

@PastaSauceHoarder hi pasta! Yes I'm Defo still early, i think my first cycle using opks I'm just being a stress head lol I've had the odd strong line since I started testing so I don't know where I am... but tbh I think they are getting slightly stronger.

Get DTD @Mfbroome that looks positive to me! I think with lines like that ovulation is either happening or very close. You're def fertile for sure and I think you have such a great chance!! ✨✨👍🏼😃✨✨

Ladies i’m On CD10 and been getting spotting/very light pink when I wipe (sorry for TMI). Does anybody know what this may be?

This happened to me when I came off for like 6months xx

Came off the pill back in mid October. I didn’t have this happen last cycle or last time around I came off the pill. This is the first time, seems really strange for me as it’s not usual. Maybe it’s just hormonal as you say.

I mean they do say when u ovulate you can get a tiny bit of spotting from release of egg? But it's too early for that right?

@PastaSauceHoarder thanks I haven’t heard of that. I’ve just took an opk and it’s blank which is weird when it’s had lines all week. I have drank a lot this morning so my urine was very diluted. I’ll take a second test this afternoon. I’m only on cd11 so maybe it’s just hormonal, I’ll keep an eye on it. Gosh who knew fertility could be so confusing Are you still getting lines on your opks @pasta?

Thanks @Mfbroome it prob is hormonal as it does seem too early for ov and I haven’t had a positive Opk. I’m so pleased you got your +opk you’ll have to go jump on your dh!! ✨✨✨✨lots of baby dust

@Cocobana I've tested the last two days with first wee of the day and I've got real results, after our convo I think I was just too diluted with my second! It makes such a difference x

@Mfbroome so sorry you to hear that you still feel rotten. These viruses going around are awful aren’t they!? I’m still not well but better than was and able to push through today at least. I’m heading in right direction anyway. Hope you start to feel better too I haven’t felt up to DTD either but have let dh put the effort in 🤣 we DTD only on cd 7 and cd9. This is cd 11 and we’re hoping to DTD tonight. I’m not sure I should with this light bleeding however, it’s a browny colour and I’m think it must be hormonal. Took another opk and faint second line as been getting so I think my urine was just far too diluted this morning. I think ovulation is on its way for mid cycle hopefully. I don’t think it’ll be too late if you DTD tonight, I would just incase, you’ve still got a really good chance. x

I think as long as you DTD today and tomorrow you’ll be well covered! 👍🏼✨✨✨
