Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

@Cocobana ahh thanks I feel more relieved as it's actually darker than the control line.. I'm also happy as we haven't dtd since the weekend so I'm happy I still have a chance now lol.

@Cocobana yes I'm in my wait now. I'm 5dpo, boobs feel a bit sore but no other symptoms. Keep trying to see if I have any creamy cm but I don't yet 😭

Mine is negative with faint second line but I reckon ovulation should be on its way midcycle which will be a lot better than my late ovulation last cycle! Still spotting, it started last night and is pinkish Brown and light bleeding, bloody hormones lol!!

@Mfbroome I know I put so much effort in last cycle with all the opks and DTD and everything and it was so disheartening. This cycle I feel abit more relaxed about things and i’m just looking forward to Christmas.

@Blueflower22 so sorry you’re feeling down. How are you feeling now? I’m waiting for dh to get home too and just sitting with all the Christmas lights on. I love cashew nuts, yum. I’m on the look out for a push but selection for Christmas preferably with chocolate in! x 🎄💐

@cocobana That makes sense. I do the same for ds when I can and it means if we have something he cant have then just pop it in micro. Are you feeling any better? I had tiny bit of pink spotting this cycle!! ... I cant remember what cd but it was literally the tiniest little bit and went away and nothing since. Are u still having it? Maybe as mentioned its to do with hormones @coco but with those lines you are getting im sure Ov will be here before u know it 🙂🙂 Yes make your dh do all the work. My dh actually asked me last night are you ovulating, and when I told him I was, we dtd. I was really surprised because I dont tell him much about ttc but im happy because it confirms he really is sure about having dc1 if that makes sense?

Had my darkest positive opk yesterday so I think tonight is the right night to open the brazils? 🙂 Is Friday your last day at work? Hopefully you have managed to miss all the bugs.

Are you ok @blueflower ? Why are you feeling down? Yes im in my tww now too. You mentioned eating alot of traditional currys in a previous post and I meant to ask u about it. Do you make currys alot?

@Scarletrose18 ahhh yeah I'm feeling a bit down really just a few things with Dp being moody.

Have you got any symptoms yet? What sorry of early symptoms did you get with your last PG?

@Scarletrose18 and yeah I do make them probably two times a week. My family background is Asian so we eat curries quite a lot. When we're not eating them we eat pasta dishes or pizza😂 or fish and chips

Sorry to hear that @blueflower , its tough if someone you live with isnt themselves as it can rub off on you. Mmm that sounds lovely, wish I could cook a nice curry.
Yes I had a pain in my lower back, not a really bad pain just a niggle and that was really my only pre pregnancy test symptom. One other completely random thing actually, I was out and had a glass of wine with lunch 5dpo and it made me sick. I never thought much of it at the time but once I found out I was pregnant I wondered was it related.

Sore breasts is a great sign from what I have heard. Are you finding the wait hard?

@Scarletrose18 thanks, I’m feeling better than yesterday so I’m getting there slowly but surely. I’ve finally wrapped some presents up. Afew more to go but no hurry as I have until Christmas Day for the rest. How has your day been? Yeah still getting the bleeding, It started last nights spotting and I’ve had it all day today like pink/brown when wipe after been to loo (sorry about the tmi), it’s progressed to more than spotting today but to a light to be AF if that makes sense. I guess it must be hormonal. I feel abit put off DTD with it though. Think I’ll see if it’s gone tomorrow. Oh that’s great that you’re dh is fully onboard, it’s nice when they’re enthusiast about another dc. are you eating your brazils?

So sorry @Blueflower22 that you’ve been feeling down. I hope for dp is in a much better mood soon. You sound like a great cook, I love curries. Me and dh make Thai yellow curry with a pineapple boat, we love it. We haven’t made it for awhile though as with ds running around it’s too difficult to find the time to have such nice meals!

Thats odd about the bleeding but it sounds like its perfectly normal after stopping the pill. I'm sure it will go away soon!

No positive OPK for me yet @Scarletrose18, Ovia seems to think Sunday will be my peak fertility day. Still getting good lines on my tests though for now.
And yes get those Brazils down you!! I need to find another packet of them in the shops tomorrow, where were yours from?

Yeah Friday is my last day, one of my team mates is bringing in her karaoke machine so it should be good. 😂 Have you finished work yet?

Sorry to hear you've not been feeling great @Blueflower22 (I like the name change!), feeling emotional can be an early symptom. The day before I found out I was pregnant with DD I was at a bridal show and I remember bursting into tears because all of the dresses were just so beautiful! 😅

I have a family nember that calls hormones "horrormones" which I think is a very fitting name because they are little horrors that cause us ladies so much trouble. So I hope your horrormones behave and spotting is gone by tomorrow. Yes I opened the asda choc brazils tonight and they are gorgeous... dont think ill be able to save any for other days 😂🤣😂

It wasnt sickness all the time @blue it was just a one off from a glass of wine which had never happened before... but every lady is different so will be interesting to see what symptoms you get before your bfp. 🙂 I worked in an indian takeout place when I was younger and the chef used to let us try the traditional dishes and they were amazing but the amount of ingredients that goes into a proper curry is amazing (I think that kind of intimidates me... i am a bit of a lazy cooker lol)
You dont have long to wait now until you can start testing. Will you wait for AF or test early @blue

I’ve tried Thornton’s Florentines but haven’t tried Aldi’s own. I shall have to pick some up next time i’m passing (if there’s any left)! Ovia thinks my fertility week will start on Sunday. It hasn’t told me when it thinks my peak will be. How do I find out what day that it thinks is the peak day?

@Scarletrose18 haha horrormones...I like that! I know it’s so strange, i don’t understand why I wouldn’t have had it last cycle if it was connected to coming off the pill. I guess these crazy hormones can play up randomly! I’ll be pleased when I get my opk! I just hope when I do I’ve dtd. Dh breaks up from work so I’m hoping I won’t ovulate until the weekend so then at least he will be available 24/7 I’m jealous of your choc brazils so I’ve had to dip into the celebrations tub
