Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it. Hmm

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Aww @pastasaucehoarder you are not stupid at all!! All of your symptoms pointed towards pg. But as said before period and pg symptoms are so similar. We all get our hopes up and your right to do that because u do have such a high chance. Lets see what december brings. Thinking of u today @pasta 🌻🌷🌻 x

@PastaSauceHoarder your symptoms were so promising I think any of us on here would have thought exactly the same thing. Let’s hope December is kinder to all of us. At least we all won’t have morning sickness when we eat our Christmas dinners now Flowers❤️✨🎄

Well AF hasn’t arrived today Confused so I’m starting to think will AF be late this month because I ovulated late. I’m never usually go longer than 28days but my cycle could be out of whack after coming off the pill. It’ll probably come tomorrow. I’m 10 dpo today so early to test and being too impatient I did 🤦🏼‍♀️ and it was BFN as expected. This waiting game is getting hard!

There were none last time I was in asda so they must sell out fast. Check again next time your in.
Oh no, its such a horrible time... you just need the next few days to hurry up! How do u feel now?

@Scarletrose18 I bet they’re scarce like the white toblerone! I ended up ordering dh it off amazon pantry as I couldn’t get it anywhere. I feel abit surprised as I was so convinced I’d get some sign of AF today. I don’t feel crampy or anything at the moment. However I’m waiting for the cramping to come on through the night or tomorrow at some point then be followed by AF. I’ll test next on Sunday morning (12dpo) if I don’t get AF before then. I’m trying so hard to be patient and hope if AF is going to arrive it does it soon because the wait is going to get more anxious the more late I am. How are you today? Have you done any more opks?

@cocobana You were prob best to do that as they would of prob been sold the next time you were in. How are you today? I have been thinking about you this morning... Any signs of AF? If not, this is test day isnt it?? 😊

@Scarletrose18 still no af. I had some light pink spotting yesterday later afternoon and thought af is on her way but then nothing through the night or this morning. I’m wondering if this is just a funny cycle and it’s taking it’s fine to come through. Because I got the spotting yesterday and I’m only 12 dpo today I’m going to wait until tomorrow to test. I have a feeling af will come today on the mean time! I wish it would hurry up as it’s day 31 tomorrow. Are you having a nice weekend?

@Scarletrose18 yeah I had nothing when woke up but heavier spotting after breakfast and it now looks like af is coming today Sad oh well I did expect it. I’m abit confused with ovulating on day 19 and af today on day 31. I wonder if this means my cycles are going to be 31 days now instead of 28. I’ve downloaded ovia and imputed my info so I’ll just have to see what next cycle brings. I hate not knowing where I am with my cycle Confused

Awh sorry @Cocobana, its really disappointing isn't it. Sad There still might be a few hormones in your body after coming off the pill, I read that it can take a bit of time to completely leave your system so maybe thats why it was a funny cycle this month? Keep using that Ovia app, I love it!

I don't know why I've had a 29 day cycle this month when I usually have 31. I'm putting it down to stopping breastfeeding, I'm really worried its completely going to irregulate my periods from now on. 😕

@PastaSauceHoarder thanks it’s good to know that some hormones could still be there affecting my cycle. It’s like me and you have swapped cycles with each other this month in regards to length. I hope both our cycles regulate. How do you feel now? I feel all over the place with my hormones. I hope next cycle is a better one for all of us. I’m off to visit a relative today and have put my Christmas jumper on to try and cheer myself up 🎄✨🎅🏼

I'm feeling much better now, thanks. Smile DH and I were pretty low yesterday morning, but we had a nice day Christmas shopping in our local city and it didn't take long for us to feel all warm and festive.
Sorry to hear you're feeling all over the place. Flowers Hows your DH feel about it?

Mine was pretty upset, but more for me than anything. He's also really worried that due to the pressure of it (he was convinced it was going to happen right away) he won't be able to 'perform' properly when most important - he's never been good under pressure. 🙄

Oh sorry, just read that you said AF stopped only a day ago. Thats odd! Confused I've never taken them so close to AF so I'm not sure if thats supposed to happen or not.
