Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Thanks @Cocobana, I've decided that if I don't have any sign of AF by the 12th then I'll test then. I should be 18DPO then so definitely a conclusive answer!
DH is getting very excited, though I keep telling him not to get his hopes up! Its his 25th birthday on the 13th - I can't help but think what a wonderful birthday present that would be if it were a BFP...

Anyway, I can't get too ahead of myself!! 😣 What have you got planned today?

Yes watched it last night @cocobana Its so crazy how they manage it. Aww, did u feel really sad when u woke up? It could come true! 2 days and counting 😊

Hopefully no spotting then @pastasaucehoarder I cant believe u still havnt tested. I would never be able to hold out that long. Im sure ur dying to find out! Not long now either as ur af first due date is the 7/8 isnt it?

@mfbroome how are u? What cycle day are u on now? Im on cd 6.

Wow that’s a long time to wait @PastaSauceHoarder but as you say if you feel better waiting and as you say it’ll save confusion. I’ve been reading up on it and it said to test between 12 and 14 dpo to get avoid false negatives so I’ll start testing Sunday if I don’t get my period but can’t see that happening! My friend coming over with her little one this afternoon and then I’m going out shopping to pick acouple of things up. How about you?

@Scarletrose18 haha I felt weird when woke up can’t believe I dreamt that!! It’s crazy it must be playing on my unconscious mind and coming out in my dreams Have you started doing opks this month yet. I think my plan for next cycle is to DTD every other day after AF ha finished and then DTD on the day I get the LH surge and the day after.

@pasta They do say a week after missed af the best but no way could I wait until then. With ds I tested in the evening of the day of what ‘I thought’ would be the first day of my missed af because I hadn’t felt myself through the day, I thought due to diluted urine it would be negative but for a faint 2nd pink line.

Yes, AF finished, did my first opk today, faint line (which is always there) I know its pointess to do it as ovulatation date not until next saturday but i want to be sure just incase... plus i like doing it, although it will prob send me crazy within a week ha ha.
Oooh sunday for testing... thats so close! Yes crazy how it takes over your mind isnt it. I was thinking about it today... im hoping so much for a bfp next month but theres a little voice at the back of my mind keeps telling me ds was a one off it wont happen, i think we are our own worst ememies. (Well us and google 🤣)

@pastasaucehoarder The ovia app is telling me fertile days and non fertile days and when i should ovulate and next af date. Its so good! I keep checking it every day and swiping across to see how close im getting to peak fertile day ... its a little addictive 😂

Yeah I’m okay! How about you? @scarlet x im on cd4 so we are very close! I’m just Wishing ttc time would hurry now, are u??? 🤣🤣 AF was a right bitch this month, I felt horrendous and I never get like that!

@coco ahhh I hope it stays away and it’s great news! How many days is it that I have to wait until testing? my cycles are about 31days normally but this last one 28! So I’m going to start testing for ov sticks ASAP :)

@Scarletrose18 that’s great that your AF is finished now and that you’re doing your OPKs. The faint lines are so annoying aren’t they but I guess we have a low level of LH in our systems at all time. I have the exact same voice playing on my mind as you, I just think I can’t be that lucky twice and it’ll prob take months and months this time Exactly, I blame Dr Google too; all the conflicting information messes with your head I haven’t felt very crampy or anything this afternoon but do feel like I’m getting some water retention. Now it’s just the waiting game for AF to arrive tomorrow (CD28) I think I’ll feel better for my period to just arrive because at least I can fully relax. I’m going to download the app you and pasta mention for next cycle: it sounds really worthwhile.

@Mfbroome thanks, I have a feeling AF is on her way for tomorrow but we’ll see. I think it’s work doing the OPKs from when your period ends right through until you get your surge. I say the latter to cover all bases because @pasta ovulated early and I ovulated late so sometimes things can play up!

Yeah my Ovia app says I’m in my fertile stage on the 17th! My flo app says 14th and Fitbit app says 12th! So god knows lol I will start when AF had gone then :) 👍🏼👌🏼

@mfbroome Im good 🙂 I feel like i cant wait until fertile window to start ttc! Wish it would hurry up!! I finished af so started opks today. Yes ovia says im fertile starting from the 10th. Mine was awful too, I got so depressed and headaches and everything... i think prob because it was my first in years. Is this your first? Do u mind me asking your age? Im 30 (but we pretend im 26 😂)

No I never took the pill after my ds so i haven’t used it for well over 3 years now :) I feel so much better not taking it, I was so moody and emotional on anyone I tried - it really doesn’t make me feel normal at all🙈
I am 31 :) and I feel old 😂😂 we can be “26” together lol

@Scarletrose18 yeah I used to get abit boating just before af which I always put down to water retention. Haha well I’m 32 but we say I’m 25 lol. 🤣

@pasta you’re lovely and young already so we don’t need to pretend you’re a different age. Hope you’re feeling okay, don’t give up hope because you will get your BFP in the not too distant future I’m sure you will. ❤️

Yes @pastasaucehoarder as @coco says you will get BFP soon. All those brazil nuts and you have lots of eggs too as u loose eggs as every year passes. Sending you an E-Hug 🤗

Yes not too long @cocobana (feels like forever though) but at least now i know where i am at with my cycle. Not long for you to wait either for either AF or testing. Still no period symptoms apart from bloating? I still feel November was just a crazy month for us all.

@Scarletrose18 12th Dec will soon be here, this month is already flying, we keep forgetting doors on the advent calendars and ending up a day behind. 🎄🎅🏼November has certainly been a weird month. Yeah just the bloating at the moment, do you remember the advert that says some women go up a dress size on their period? Well that’s me 😂 I feel so bloaty! I’ll be pleased when AF is finally here because I feel my body needs to do something and unfortunately I don’t think it’s baby related. My short luteal phase this month has put a stop to that I feel. Hope December is a better month for all of us ✨✨✨❤️
