Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Omg @Cocobana, yes!! I had the same dream last night as well! Thats three nights in a row now. Though it alternates from brown to pink. 😂

You're right it IS messing with our heads. I'm so anxious whenever I think about it, I'm wishing and hoping that I don't find any blood whenever I go to the toilet but then when I think about taking a pregnancy test I feel so nervous! 😨

I did sleep much better though, thank you. How are you today, any inklings of AF yet?

@PastaSauceHoarder oh god I hope I don’t have the dream again tonight! Sorry you had it again! Hope you don’t get any spotting and it’s awful for you with not knowing if af due 7th or 11th. I haven’t gone by my luteal phase and just gone by cycle length so hope mine is due 7th/8th! It’s never even been longer than that and is like clockwork so I think it’s safe for me to count there cycle. How many dpo are you now? Would it be worth doing an early response test? Oh ds ao nervewracking isn’t it!?
I’ve had no af signs today, cramps all gone but I’m sure they’ll come back again

I hope the dream isn't my bodies way of telling me I'm already out. 😟 I'm on CD26 now, 11DPO (12 if I go by the first positive OPK, but I think I'm supposed to go by the second?)

Hopefully your cycle is as regular as it always has been! Do you know what your luteal phase is normally? I'm the same, I had cramps yesterday but so far theres nothing today.

Definitely not going to do any tests, its only 6 days until my fate is revealed. I've waited this long already. 🙄

@PastaSauceHoarder well that means I’m out too because I had the same dream lol. I’m 8dpo but I went by the first surge, when I took the opk the next day it was fainter and I think it was just the LH level going back down again. I don’t know what my luteal phase is normally because I’ve never tested. I assume it’s not normally short because we conceived ds quickly and with no problems. It does say though that your cycle can reset itself after having a baby my cycle was the same length after having ds but hoping my luteal phase hasn’t reset itself My rational mind tells me that is unlikely though because they say that coming off the pill that can throw the first couple of months out or stress can delay ovulation. I’m sure it was the latter (I hope!!)
Aww you’ve done so well waiting, in all honestly I’d have prob done test by now I’d i didn’t have very long to wait for AF. They actually say online some women can still get negative until a week after missed AF if conceived late in cycle, that must be confusing if you test on day of missed AF and it’s negative!

Crazy dreams ladies. I dont know how you are resisting testing. I feel for you both! If AF doesnt arrive, what day will you both wait to test until?

Aww thanks @Scarletrose18 how has your day been today? I am only 8dpo today so prob no point in me testing until after af is due. I’m not sure how many days you’re supposed to wait really with my ov being late. Af is due Friday/Saturday so tbh I don’t even think I’ll have to worry as reckon af will put in an appearance. If I don’t get my period by Saturday night I will start looking into when I should test for it not to be too early. I reckon I’ll not have that problem though!

Far better thank you @coco i think af really effected me.... sun, mon and tues i was really sad and anxious and couldnt sleep last night until after 1am (i go to bed at 9:30/10 normally) so obvously the hormones were bad with it being my first period in a few years.

So how long is your cycle normally? You must feel so confused 😣 Maybe u could do a thread with a question asking if anyone has had same thing with ovulating later so you can find out how things went for them. Maybe u would get some reasurrance?

My cycle is usually 28 days when not on the pill. Aw thanks it’s okay, I’ll just see if I get af as not long to wait now. I’m not too worried because it says online it can be normal when come off the pill or stress or what ever can make ov alittle later than normal. I’m sure it’ll be back to normal next cycle. I guess it could change from month to month depending on circumstances we don’t really know until we track it. I have had a lot on this month so I’m not surprised it was alittle later.

My hormones were similar during the first cycle since coming off the pill too, I didn’t feel myself at all. I do now though. Hope you’re feeling better now

Oh @Scarletrose18 bless you, that sounds rough. Are you coming to the end of AF now? Hopefully next AF will be kinder (although actually fingers crossed you won't getting AF again for a long time after this one! )

I hope your cycle falls into your usual 28 days @Cocobana, this TTC stuff is confusing enough as it! What cycle day did you ovulate on again?

I had a little think back to just before I found out I was pregnant with DD and did some period maths. Turns out that little brown bleed I had last week was exactly around the same time as the one I had with DD... I sooo hope it means the same thing.

Well your cycle may still be 28 days this month..... or you may never find out and will just have to wait for ttc dc3 to know what

Yes af just about finished now, after your earlier opk @pasta and your later opk @coco it shows you really dont know what way things will go... so I think i will start opking early.

@coco i also read that sone people get their LH surge after they ovulate so maybe you did ovulate a bit earlier than you think but your surge was late

@PastaSauceHoarder thanks so much, hopefully, I ovulated CD19. Tomorrow will be 9dpo. Wow that sounds so promising, hope it’s the same this time around for you. Not long to wait now...✨🍀✨
@Scarletrose18 haha oh I don’t think I’d be brave enough for 3 lol but 2 would be nice. I’m pretty certain I ovulated on or around the day I got my surge because I had ewcm the same day, cramps and all the typical ovulation symptoms. Actually this month my ovulation symptoms were quite severe and when I looked it up it’s called ovulation sickness where you can feel like your pregnant and like morning sickness but it’s ovulation. I had headaches, cramps, nausea and a horrible time leading up to ov and on the day of the surge then the next day as the surge line faded so did my symptoms and I felt so much better. I’ve never felt like that before and hope it isn’t going to happen every month or I’ll be dying to go back on pill lol! I would definately recommend opking early. I’m going to buy another 40 strips and start testing from day after af finishes right through.

@Mfbroome I’m good thanks how are you? Hope you get a positive opk soon, how long are your cycles normally? No testing for me because I ovulated late this cycle so too early. I’m going to start testing on 12dpo which would put me on 2 days past missed period. I think I’ll get my period before then though. I feel quite pre menstruel like today so I bet the witch 🧙‍♀️ is ready to get me tomorrow/Saturday as per my cycle lol.

@pastasaucehoarder any more symptoms for you today? I had a dream last night that I got a positive pt and it seemed so real then I woke up!! Typical lol. I feel really periody today unlike yesterday and feel it’s going to be here any day now.

Hi @Cocobana, awh I bet that was fustrating when you woke up! I used to have dreams like that all the time before I had DD, I just wanted a baby. 😭😂
Sorry you're feeling so periody, hopefully either your symptoms go away and she doesn't arrive and instead you get a nice BFP, or at the very least AF arrives quickly so you can get it over with!
I'm feeling good today actually, not periody at all (though I'm running to the toilet at every opportunity to get I'm not spotting!)
Usually with AF I get brown spotting two days before, and I'm due on Saturday (maybe, who knows 🙄) and theres nothing yet so I'm tentatively optimistic...

@PastaSauceHoarder oh that’s fantastic! I’m pleased you feel like you’re having positive signs, hopefully these last couple of days will go super fast so you can find out and get your BFP!! I feel like every time I go to the toilet today when I wipe I’m going to get AF (sorry for TMI!) I think it’ll be on course for tomorrow (my 28days for sure.) I think it’s really positive that you’ve not had the spotting and you know your own body the best... I think for me if my period is going to come which I’m certain it is I’d prefer to just have it a day early than wait longer ✨✨✨✨
