Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it. Hmm

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

@Scarletrose18 well when I looked it up it said that late ovulation can be caused by stress and also that it can take a couple of months after coming off the pill for everything to get back to normal. I’m just trying to understand why and think it is prob the latter but dh reckons I’ve been abit stressed too even though I didn’t think I had lol. So it could be both maybe Shock I’ve been feeling a little crampy and like I’m going to get my period early but I supposed it is due Friday and things could be starting for then, this cycle has been so crazy this month. I hope the next one is better!
Yeah I think December’s wait will be a great one with Christmas and everything. We’ll hardly notice the tww 🎄[santa]
I know what you meant about the hectic weekends. I think there’s always so much to fit in and not enough time, it seems to fly over. I hope your Monday goes well. Have you got your Christmas decs up?

Mfbroome · 03/12/2018 10:39

Happy Monday ladies! My weekend was hectic haha looking forward to a relaxing one next with some tree decorating :)
No AF yet should be here Wednesday :) I’m just going to wait and see, no signs of pregnancy other than my heart rate rising a lot but I’ve beem doing my research and a rising heart rate is a sign of ovulation, it then drops just as AF comes! Fun fact :)
The few wines on Saturday probably made it climb slightly too 😂

Lol too poo in the tub! I’ve been there many of times 😫🙈

Also the nutcracker looks amazing! I want to take dd as she loves those sort of films :)
The grinch is another one on our list :) we are massive grinch fans in our house! Xxx

PastaSauceHoarder · 03/12/2018 10:57

Good morning all! Smile How is everyone today?

Sounds like we've got quite a few AFs coming up. If I go by my luteal phase then I should be due the 7th/8th, but my Ovia app still suspects it'll be the 11th instead. 🤔 Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Haha DD has only pooed in the tub twice, once with me and once with DH. 😂 Yeah it was not nice, I definitely sympathise!

I don't think I have anymore symptoms to spot, just mild cramping but thats been happening since 4dpo and I'm about 9/10DPO now. I'm so bored of waiting! 100% think that its not been my month (though sometimes, just SOMETIMES I get a little bit hopeful...)

Yes to The Nutcracker! It looks magical. Smile But I'm also super excited for Ralph Breaks The Internet - I love Disney!! 😭❤

Scarletrose18 · 03/12/2018 12:12

Crazy how much being stressed can effect u isnt it. Yes maybe a combination of both then. My Monday is just a typical horrible Monday. Only this week and next left of work now so thats good.

Happy Monday to u too @MFbroome ooh really you dont have long to wait at all now then. Are u feeling positive? Will u test before Wed? Yes also Mary poppins coming out looks great.

Cramping is good @pastasaucehoarder 😀 Not long for you to wait either. Hopefully it goes in fast this week.

Im so interested to see how many bfp we get in our group in the next week or two.

Mfbroome · 03/12/2018 13:48

No I’m not feeling positive at all 🙈 I might do another test but then I’m thinking maybe I’ll just wait?!
What do u think?

Mfbroome · 03/12/2018 13:48

Oh my goodness Mary poppins yes! That looks amazing! So many films x

Mfbroome · 03/12/2018 13:49

Scarlet are u finishing work for xmas???

Mfbroome · 03/12/2018 14:34

Okay girls! I’m officially out! AF arrived just now :( oh well better luck next time 😂👍🏼 I’m not gonna lie I’m so disapointed! But like u said before scarlet - atleast I know where I am now and will try harder this cycle :)
What were the ovulation sticks that one of your recommended? I used boots before and didn’t get much luck from them x

Mfbroome · 03/12/2018 14:35

How crazy is it that my heart rate has just. I plenty dropped down lower than it had been since ovulation? litetally within half hour if AF coming?! I mean it’s a crazy method to follow!

PastaSauceHoarder · 03/12/2018 14:45

Oh no, @Mfbroome. SadFlowers So sorry, AF is a cowbag isn't she? Treat yourself to a load of chocolate and something alcoholic. Wine

At the very least you can have yourself a Christmas drink this year. Whats your festive tipple? I had my first taste of chocolate Baileys last year, absolutely divine. 👌🏻

So weird about the heart rate thing... Confused

PastaSauceHoarder · 03/12/2018 14:47

Oh and these are the OPKs I use, they're cheap and I've found them reliable. Smile

Mfbroome · 03/12/2018 15:04

Thanks pasta 😘😘😘😘 the flowers made me smile lol it’s mice to have some friends where u can chat the lingo and who are ttc too ❤️
It’s just so funny isn’t it! I’d say my cycles are pretty reliable I’ve been tracking since about June/July They are normally 31-33 days. Have always been the month after I had ds and he’s 3 soon! And the month I start ttc it jumps at me with a 28 day cycle?! Now god knows when I did really ov?! So I’ll be buying those sticks so I can see what’s going on starting December. Thank you so much for the link :)
I’m onboard this December train now lol. How are u anyway xxx

Cocobana · 03/12/2018 15:38

@Scarletrose18 oh that’s great, bet you can’t wait! aw I know it’ll be nice for one of us to get a positive in the group his month!!

@Mfbroome oh no so sorry you got your AF, what a shame! Hopefully next cycle will be kinder! And now you get to have a drink over Christmas yay! 🍾🎊🎄

@PastaSauceHoarder you’re making me want chocolate baileys it’s lovely isn’t it!? Apparently lidles delux chocolate liquor is meant to be even nicer! And also Mozart chocolate liquor in the posh gold foiled bottle is meant to be amazing.

This was the deal I got £5 odd for 40 opks and 10 free pregnancy tests. I’m going to add next orders pregnancy tests to this order which will give me 20 and save me buying any separately.

Cocobana · 03/12/2018 15:45

Will you test on on Friday @PastaSauceHoarder or just wait for 11th? It can be so tempting. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you that you’ll get your positive.

Cocobana · 03/12/2018 15:49

Oh forgot to say @Scarletrose18 hope your Monday picks up abit. Will you have a rest this evening?

I don't think I can @Cocobana, every time I think about testing I feel sick and nervous and my stomach ties itself into a knot. Sad I'm definitely just going to wait for AF if she decides to rear her ugly head.

Ohh they sound lovely!! I bet the Lidl one is probably cheaper, isn't it? We don't have a Lidl round us, I wonder if Aldi do one?

Any signs/symptoms for you? Smile

How annoying @Mfbroome, our bodies just like to mess with us don't they? 🙄 Glad you're feeling a little better!

Scarletrose18 · 03/12/2018 16:19

@mfbroome if you need pregnancy tests for next cycle too, I ordered these ones from amazon. The reviews are great and apparently no evap lines or anything. Such a bargin. (The date on them is fine btw, its just an old pic as they have been selling them for ages lol)

@Scarletrose18 hope your AF settles down soon for you, after ds was born I didn’t go back on the pill for a little while and AF was definitely heavier. However my first period after coming off the pill last month wasn’t that bad. I don’t know if that is because my body is adjusting, I’ll find out this month. Oh that doesn’t sound right that your relatives went in your bedroom when you weren’t there. That’s an invasion of privacy. Did they say why they did that? Aww your time off sounds lovely, bet you can’t wait.

@PastaSauceHoarder I think you’re going the right thing because the false hope is awful otherwise . I’m just doing the same as you and waiting for AF. I think I’ll be quite relieved when i do get it because the waiting is the worst part. I’m not sure I haven’t had the Lidl one just read it in an article last year, it was voted nicer than the Baileys one but they were out of stock when I went to get it typical! i’ve asked dh to get my Mozart for Christmas if we don’t have any luck ttc. It’s alittle more expensive than baileys but meant to have a more intense chocolate flavour which will be right up my street. I have had a few cramps as though af is on its way. I think it will be here by Friday/Saturday so not much longer to wait. How about you? Have you had any signs or anything?

Cocobana · 03/12/2018 16:44
