Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Oh and gosh 28 days for you now, hopefully af will come soon. Will you test again if not?

Also jealous of you two being tucked up in bed, I'm still painting DDs bloody wall. 😭

Lol @PastaSauceHoarder we are def oversharers and probably quite hormonal at times too (maybe I’m just speaking for myself but I’ve had some moods this month lol and I blame coming off the pill!)

@PastaSauceHoarder you should put down that paintbrush, wrap it in cling film and have a nice bath and have some rest. That sounds tough especially this late too.

As lovely as that sounds @Cocobana, I just have to get this done. 😭 Poor DDs room has been out of order for the past week (ran out of paint halfway through and had to wait for a delivery of more) and I've found it amazing how the harmony of a house can go completely out a whack because of one room. So the sooner its done the better!

I don't mind too much, I'm definitely a night owl anyway! 🦉 Got my laptop for a bit of TV in the background and all is well.

I didnt know that, and hadnt heard of it before, so it may not be 14 days then? I suppose I will just have to wait and see.

@coco yes if it doesnt appear I will. I only had one test left and I used it the other day for my bfn but I have 40 more arriving next week 😂 Plus 30 opks arriving (im ashamed to say i used all my opks up, testing twice a day)
What is your luteal phase?

I understand why you are confused about your dates now @pasta because you ov earlier do you count luteal phase days or previous af due date. (I really wanted to try

Any signs of impending AF yet?

Awh, how are you feeling @Mfbroome? What are your usual AF symptoms?

Okay so I went out to breakfast today and had like this breakfast batch thing - sausage, bacon, egg, you get the picture. It tasted SO WEIRD. Like too salty. And the juice was kind of bitter. DH had the same and he said it was fine.
I'm getting all the right symptoms but I just don't want to get too excited! If AF comes I'm going to be thoroughly confused.

I think its coming yes @mfbroome 😁 I have slight cramps and I can feel pressure, I cant really remember what period symptoms I get but I can just feel its coming. Im so happy that its coming, I just hope I ovulate again after, thats my biggest worry. Have u tested again? I got a cold in early preg with ds!! 😉

Yes I feel its coming! @pasta 😊 Im the only one excited for AF to arrive! Im very ready to ttc next cycle but also scared too.

I have just done a pt - BFN for me here guys! I’ve thrownthe towel in and I’m having a drink later 😂😂 it’s been a long week and I’m fed up 😂😂😂
My symptoms are normally teary and cramping a few days before x

@Scarletrose18 oh I’m pleased, I’m exactly the same as once I’m snug in bed it would take an earth quake to get me out of there. Yeah I’m usually worse on the pill as well but this cycle has been crazy for me and my hormones felt abit out of whack. Sounds like you’re going to be well stocked up with tests Scarlet, I need to order more myself as my supplies are low!

Been putting all my decs up today and I’m bloody shattered lol we’re having an easy dinner and a rest tonight . I’m just glad they’re all up and it feels nice. So far ds hasn’t pulled the tree over as I’m yet to get some wire to secure it...🎄🎊 he has been really excited and wouldn’t take his nap so god knows how his sleep tonight will go...

Im sorry to hear that @mfbroome although it is still early yet, a bfp could still happen before AF. Im with u on the wine tonight after this bath.

My AF just started this afternoon !! So if I ovulated Sunday or Monday then I have a 13 day luteal phase... would that be right @pasta? What does that mean for me next time with ovulation? Are you chilling tonight?

@Scarletrose18 Sounds like you need a good rest. That’s great on the AF news, at least you know exactly where you are with your cycle now. I’ll just order online cheaply test in bulk for my next cycle and need some more ovulation tests too. I’m not bothering testing this month and will just wait for AF which I know will be on its way from 7th/8th or there about if 28 days as normal. I’m only about 4dpo today. Haha I could def fancy a glass!

Great news, @Scarletrose18!! 🎊 Yeah that should be right regarding your luteal phase, especially if your cycle is regular. I'm not sure when abouts you should ovulate again, probably best to just take OPK tests everyday after AF!

I just keep swaying from being hopeful to being convinced I'm out this cycle. 😭 My boobs have been super sensitive on and off today but then I'm having more cramps that feel like AF... 7/8DPO today.

@cocobana oh lovely, some chill time is always good. No, dh was still out helping paint so ds shared my bath with me... but on the plus side he didnt poop in the bath like he did the other week so I guess in that respect it was relaxing 😂

Thats what I did, just order them in bulk, much cheaper and still as good 😊 Im sorry your not feeling very positive this month, that late ovulation has thrown you a bit hasnt it. I think you still have good chance so im waiting to see what happens with yoy in next week or so 🙂

@PastaSauceHoarder decs all up and it was lovely to come down to them and put the lights on this morning, it cheers things up especially when so dull and dark outside! Oh that’s sounded lovely watching your Christmas movie with your dd, we’re going to watch Christmas Chronicles with ds over Christmas. Ds has still been a good boy, he did investigate the decs when we first put them up but he hasn’t been near since (I hope I’ve taught him they’re out of bounds but time will tell.) It sounds like you’ve been getting some post ov symptoms which is great, early pregnancy and period symptoms are so similar it can be very confusing. I think symptoms are better than no symptoms though. I have no symptoms at all but I know I’m only about 5 dpo today.

@Scarletrose18 aww shame you never got your bath to yourself. 🤣 at your ds pooping in the bath. Ds did the very same thing a week ago, it’s just as well I was bathing him and not dh as I don’t think he would have handled the situation as well lol. Poor ds just looked at me like ‘Mammy I don’t think this is supposed to happen in here.’ You’ll def ovulate because you’re getting regular AF it means you’re fertile and you had the strong positive on your opk last time. It’s hard not to worry though when it comes to ttc , thanks so much for saying you have hope for me. I don’t have any and I’m reasy to join you ttc December. Hopefully af will come when it’s supposed to and not be late with ov being late. I’m due on 7th/8th so not long now. Oh wow I wonder if the white toblerone has made its way over the my local Asda. Awww hun, well if you feel that way, maybe thats the right attitude to have right now then if you get a bfp you will be super surprised but if you happen to get a bfn it wont hurt quite so much. I hope you get a bfp but if u get a bfn ill be your dec ttc buddie 🙂

How was everyones weekend?

@Scarletrose18 I haven’t seen it advertised but I’ll look up the trailer as it sounds really good and like a good family movie. Ds’s was abit like that and it collected up at the end in the plug hole yuk and I was nearly 🤢 too from having to get it out and put down the toilet. It was the first time he’s done that and I’m hoping the only time !! I don’t think dh could have handled it as he struggles with the nappies as it is and he was super relieved he was at work!
Wow 2 weeks, that’s not long all and ttc in December can commence!! Exactly I guess I can just expect my AF and then I won’t be disappointed. It’s weird but this has been a very strange month for me and I haven’t been very relaxed and that coupled with late ov and crazy cycle I just know it hasn’t happened. I haven’t even been having my brazil nuts lol only did one day! I know people might think how can you know but it’s just a gut feeling I have, maybe it’s not the right time anyway with me being abit off this month. Bring on AF Friday/Saturday I’m ready

With next month being such a busy one the 2ww will hopefully go in quicker.
