Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Aww no problem @PastaSauceHoarder you and all the lovely ladies have been so fantastic and supportive. It’s really helpful we’re all going through it together. Stay away from dr google pasta, I think it’s difficult but you know your own body. All we can do now is wait and if it’s not meant to be at least we’ve all given it our best shot 😃👍🏼

Although I can talk I’m looking up stuff all of the time! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Morning all, how is everyone today?

I think I'm probably out this cycle, I've got dull period-like cramps - its still 11 days until I'm due AF but I reckon it'll come early due to early ovulation. 😕

@pasta oh no I’m sorry to hear u think it’s coming... I hope it’s not :(
I guess it’s just a waiting game. Are you feeling other signs of pmt? I guess they are so similar to pregnancy though too xxx
I have nothing lol other than bloating but that’s normal for me this close to AF x

Not really @Mfbroome, but then I don't really have many symptoms of AF coming usually!

Mon, Tues and Wed I felt ridiculously mood-swingy, then there was that brown discharge on Wed, and today I've had a few cramps that feel just a bit lighter than usual AF ones.

Okay so I thought my AF was due in 11 days but actually I think its due in a week! I counted my usual luteal phase (13 days) and that means it should arrive on the 7th, not the 11th. I'll be 13DPO then which sounds about right... So yeah, after all that period maths I'm pretty convinced that its AF coming.

I dont know how ill cope next month's cycle as I have 40 tests arriving soon!! So they should last about a week 😂

@pastasaucehoarder aww im sorry you feel AF is on its way, why do you feel that way hun? Do you think your scared to get your hopes up? I think everything sounds really positive so far, cramping and spotting... all the right signs! And dont forget those brazil nuts givd u an extra good chance 😉👌👍

@cocobana well any presents needing replaced? Dh bought me another marvelous creations (the popping candy ones) today so im just going to have that (im sure chocolate must be good for conception ha ha) How do u feel? How long until AF due now?

ovulation date: 18th or 19th
Af due: 2nd or 3rd

How long is you’re cycle normally pasta? That month has been so confusing for most of us hasnt it!?

@scarletrose18 forgot to add ov day (this month): 27th AF due: 7th-8th December I was spitting and light the first day with proper period coming he next day which is why I say 7th-8th.

@pastasaucehoarder I think because it happened easily first time its hard to imagine we could be so fortunate twice. I have been feeling the same about next cycle, I feel like I had this oppertunity and I passed it up and im scared that was my chance. So many emotions in ttc isnt there 😖 The 7th isnt too far away! I hope AF never arrives for you. Do u think u may test a little early or wait for AF? I googled it to check how long af normally comes after ov so that I would know and It said 14 days (im not sure if that can vary or not) so maybe the 7th will be your due date
I am checking for AF every time I go to the loo. I want it to hurry up so much that I am starting to imagine cramps lol. I just hope my cycle is 28 day and not way longer because this is first from pill.

@cocobana How much was it? Do u remember the crisps called fives? They are about 25p now!! Why are they still alowed to call them fives, should be illegal, false advertising 😂

Sounds like its going to be a very festive morning, @Cocobana!! I can't wait to do the same. Going to round off tomorrow evening with a Christmas movie too, though haven't decided which one yet!

My cycle is 31 days on average, but because I ovulated earlier and my luteal phase is normally 14 days, that seems to put me at the 7th/8th which would be a 28/29 day cycle... But despite all that my app is still putting AF as the 11th. 🙄 This has been the most confusing month ever!!

Exactly @Scarletrose18, I just don't believe I could possibly be so lucky.
I'm going to wait until the 7th, and if theres nothing by then then I'm going to wait until the 11th or 12th. I'd much rather see AF than a BFN!

Oh gosh yeah, you should be due AF any minute! I get what you mean though, even though its way too early I've been checking for anything every time I go to the loo. I've become obsessed with the contents of my own knickers, how minging is that. 🤢😷😂

We do talk about sweets a lot...you wouldn’t think we had sweet tooths or anything would you! Can’t remember those crisps but I’ve probably had them at some point as a kid and forgotten. Hope you get AF soon to put your mind at rest, how long has it been now since you came off the pill?

Oh that’s confusing with your AF, I have no idea what my luteal phase normally is but I’m guessing quite abit longer than it was this month. My period is never cycle is have longer than 28 days so I’m going to just stick with that I think. It’s too confusing otherwise It must be hard not to check for symptoms especially as you get more and more days past ov. I’m waiting for December’s cycle to try again now.

@Scarletrose18 of course I’ll still be on here and will be ttc in December with you anyway as I doubt this month has worked for me because of the shorter luteal phase (which I’m sure @pasta will explain far more eloquently than I can.) I’ve learnt a lot of new things this month. Who ever thought ttc could be so confusing?!

I have the date written down downstairs but im nice and toasty in bed so I went back to first few pages of this post to check (would of been quicker to go downstairs lol) so exactly 4 weeks today since I stopped pill.... feels like so much longer!
You could still get your bfp @coco you had a positive opk so as the expression says "its not over until the fat lady sings" 🙂

And also the first pages are funny. Were all like "hi wanna be ttc buddies" well we didnt say that but a big dif between then and now openly talking about CM and DTD and brazil nuts 😂

@Scarletrose18 sorry for asking that awkward question and making you scroll back 🤦🏼‍♀️ i’m cosy in bed too and watching a few things on the iPad with headphones so I don’t disturb ds. He’s actually in his own cot at moment which is a rarity. He’s had a right time with his teething so his sleep hasn’t been the best lately. I know we’ve all been talking for a while now. The conversations have definitely got more detailed to put it politely lol.

Not stupid at all! Okay so the luteal phase is the time between ovulation and the start of your period - its supposed to be roughly the same length every cycle. Mine is 13/14 days, hench why I reckon AF will come early.
