Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Sorry to jump in so late!! I never get my hopes up during tww, or try not to anyway 🙄
So I have 31 day cycles, clockwork, sore around the boobs for two days before and then in the morning BOOM, the blood gates open and im crippled with cramps again 👍🏼
Well im 16dpo now, cycle day 33, two days late! My boobs have been hurting for 5 days now, but not only my boobs, my nipples! Nipples maybe even moreso! Its reminding me of my first pregnancy (mc) where my normal pms boob ache was much worse and nipples were agony. Also chin acne reminiscent of my teens. So two days late and no sign of AF this morning. If she doesnt come with the first wee of tomorrow ill be using it to test with. I only have one clear blue in stock!

Welcome @Loppylou37 wow that sounds so promising! Won’t you be tempted to use a cheapy test today with you being 2 days late? I wouldn’t be able to wait any longer. ✨✨✨baby dust for you!! Is this your second? How olds your first? I have 20 month old ds and ttc second baby. I ovulated late this month so I think my chances are slim and I’ll be trying again in December!

Well last month I was testing every day for just over a week and sent everyone round the twist so I'm trying to back off and really relax this month. I put out of my head the symptom spotting for once and the tww has flown by!! Boob ache appeared as usual 2 days before af due, but no sign, im living in a sports bra and partner is on a nipple ban because they are agony!
I dont no, this would be my rainbow baby! Right before christmas and decorating saturday. Have visions of putting a bfp on the tree and waiting for him to notice but im torturing myself!! I want to sneak off and get some cheapies but i dont want to dissapoint myself like october :(

@Loppylou37 🤣 at you possibly hanging your positive test on the tree, I think that’s great. Oh I really hope it is positive for you this month! With your cycle usually being like clockwork, this af being late and on top of that considering all your symptoms I really think its all a great sign! When will you take your test? I know what a lovely Christmas present you will all get if it’s a positive! x ✨🎄
AF due 7th December for me. This will be my second AF since coming off the pill. I’m 2 dpo today so I’m not holding out much hope. I’m looking forward to getting the decs up on Saturday at least!

It is very strange for it to be like this, but I'm trying to convince myself otherwise so I don't end up disappointed as always! At least you'll have a nice day of decorating to distract you for a while! I hope it goes fast. It's so comforting having the decs up. Thank you! It's nice someone else thinking it all sounds positive. I'm going to test with fmw tomorrow. Won't be able to sleep tonight! Dreading a bfn, that would just be so confusing x

I have never come on in the evening before ever, always first thing in the morning since way back when when they started and then I cramp all day until I sleep again. Not even any cramps right now. Damn!

@Loppylou37 oh no that was so convincing as well, god ttc can be mess with your head alright can’t it!? I think December will hopefully be kinder to us instead! November has proved so disappointing! On the positive I was saying to @scarlet that at least we can have a drink with our Christmas dinner and enjoy the nice food with no morning sickness so we won’t feel like crap!

Not feeling confident anymore, just don't reckon there will be a BFP waiting for me at the end of this TWW. It would be like the best Christmas present EVER but I just can't see myself being that lucky.

@PastaSauceHoarder aww you’re in with such a good chance but I do know what you mean. I feel like it would be too good to be true. I also feel like because I want it so much it won’t happen! I actually found some Brazil nuts today, Asda had a delivery yay! I’ve ate five today at 2 dpo and will continue until they run out (not massive pack unfortunately) Probably pointless with my crazy cycle this month but I like them anyway so thought may as well!

Just been reading that eating kiwi fruit from CD1 to ovulation increases CM no idea if any truth in it though.

Hi girls! Sorry had such a busy few days at work with 2.5 hours drive too and from 😴😴 the working week is over for me - until Sunday 😂
I have no further symptoms- so I reckon I was just being extra on the look out and maybe things r always like that 😂😂 anyway I’ll get over it. I think after my 2 ridiculously early tests I will leave and see if AF arrives :) ... maybe 🤣

Ooh thats interesting @Cocobana, kiwi is so yummy. 🥝 I don't think CM should be an issue for me because I used (way too much) preseed, which is supposed to mimic fertile CM. 🤔
Did you use your conceive plus when you got your positive OPK?

@Mfbroome that’s a such a long drive, you must be exhausted. Oh yeah too many tests can be disheartening, it’s best to wait but so hard to at the same time!
@PastaSauceHoarder I used the conceive plus for 3 days, 2 days before positive opk and the day of positive opk. Didn’t DTD the day after. Although I think it was all a waste of time because of my crazy cycle this month Even though I don’t nrall use anything it has such good reviews I think worth a try when you’re trying ttc. At least we know we did everything we could. ✨✨

I'm either 5 or 6DPO... I usually get a positive OPK two days in a row so I don't know which day to go by. 😅 Which is why I'm confused about the brown discharge last night, surely that would be too early for ovulation?

Preseed is a lubricant that mimics fertile fluid and supposedly helps sperm swim to the egg a little easier. Its got amazing reviews so I've used it this cycle.

@Cocobana you're not out until you're out! I know what you mean though, its at least reassuring to know we've done everything we can this cycle! If it doesn't work this time then its purely bad luck.

@PastaSauceHoarder I don’t think that’s too early, I was reading online that: ‘Implantation may already have taken place at 5 DPO, or it may be about to happen soon. As a result, depending on the time of conception, it is possible for women to feel some symptoms of pregnancy this early on.’
