Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Well I didn’t even dtd on the day I thought I ov? As I wasn’t using sticks. But I done 2days leading up and 1 day after 🙈 so that’s half the reason I think it’s not the month for me... I reckon do it today and defo again tomo to cover yourself?!
How long is your cycle normally?

Yeah I’m sure it is af... but I feel a bit breathless too,especially at the gym this morn I felt like it was hard haha. But maybe I’m just tired lol. It’s all in the mind lol.
I’ll test again Friday lol then I will just wait for AF after that 😂👍🏼

Definitely today and tomorrow, @Cocobana! Your egg is released up to 36 hours after you get a positive OPK, so make sure you cover yourself!

@pasta oh it was 100% too soon. But I’m so impatient 😭😆
I have been looking over my app and I normally get my pms symptoms 3 days before af so I hope what I’m feeling is a good sign x

How many DPO do you reckon you are, @Mfbroome? I'm only 3DPO so I have ages to wait. 😭😭

Thanks @Mfbroome and @PastaSauceHoarder don’t know what I’d do without you lovely ladies. You prob just testing too early @Mfbroome I bet there’s great chance it could still be positive yet. I’m going to aim to DTD today and tomorrow I’d poor dh can manage it then I’ll juat hope for the best. I felt like all my birthdays had come at once when got that positive opk. Looks like I’ll be he last one to find out either way with ov so late. Will I be 1DPO tomorrow @pasta? Is that how it works? It’ll be interesting to see if my cycle is still 28 days but just with a late ov. Time will tell!

@pasta I put myself at 7dpo As thats when I had cramping, really sore boobs and ewcm. I’m pretty consistent every cycle with symptoms but without the sticks I’m not 100% on the day.
Fingers gets crossed! My boobs are on fire right now! I hope I didn’t o earlier and this is AF 🙈

I think thats how it works @Cocobana, I had my second positive on the 24th so I'm going by that... So I would be 3DPO? Thats how I'm going to see it anyway. 😂

Oooh great symptoms @mfbroome you still have such a strong chance as its still early. Will be thinking about you for Friday (if u can manage to wait until then 🙂) I will take a test at weekend to make sure but I have no symptoms and dtd days before ov so should be ok. What tests do u use?

@Scarletrose18 thank you so much, I was so relieved. Due to me getting such a late +opk I do worry though that my luteal phase is short which can make it harder to conceive if my cycle is 28 days still as normal. Hopefully it’s just later this month with coming off pill and not settled down properly. I’m probably just overthinking it all! Thank you I’ve had a look, i guess the human body is a strange thing. Thank god for those tests or I would have have never known when I ovulate and could have completely missed it! I guess I won’t know if this is normal for me until next cycle.

I am cramping so bad this arvo! I wish I could look into the future hahah is it pms or not? So frustrating lol I’ve also had really strong smelling wee today - sorry tmi! But I do drink a lot of water so that’s something I don’t normally have. Symptom spotting at its finest but I’m Always looking for an alternative explaination though lol

@coco Yes human body is marvelous and so complex. I feel that your in with a good chance so time to start the 2ww and symptom spotting.....exciting

@mfbroome I remember hearing before that a change in urine is a sign, I think if its cloudy too thats also a sign (now your going to be doing "widdle checks" every day 😁) Its horrible not knowing either way and people say its only 2 weeks, but its the looooonnnggest 2 weeks. (Oh apart from if u go overdue with your baby, I think thats even longer lol)

Do u think they are more accurate @broome? I have only ever used cheapie home bargins ones or internet ones. I must invest in some clear blue ones for ttc next month 😊

Can I join very later to the November thread? I’m still BF in an evening and my cycle is roughly 20 days which has taken a bit of tracking. Annnyway- today is ovulation day, so fingers crossed!

Thanks @Scarletrose18 hope so. Wasn’t able to DTD until late tonight so hopefully it wasn’t too late. Also will again tomorrow if still getting ov symptoms then my wait will begin i’m just not sure how long the wait will be as could be a 9 day wait if af comes when supposed to.
Oh I’m recording it to watch tomorrow, it’s been a great series hasn’t it.

4DPO for me today, I think as the days go on I'm not focusing as much on it if that makes sense? When I'm not occupied by my lovely little girl I'm throwing myself into Christmas and decorating DD bedroom and generally keeping my mind busy! How is everyone else occupying themselves?

Yes that makes sense prob because you know you are getting closer to test date also helps.

Im excited to hear everyones pt results! Also getting excited for ttc next month! Just hoping I dont have too long a wait for AF or next OV as I have not long stopped my pill so it may be irregular.

@Scarletrose18 I have been watching sweet home sextuplets and OMG I can’t believe they have 3 kids all ready and having 6 more! Here’s me worrying about how I’ll cope with 2!? Lol
I’m getting ready ttc next month because I think November’s cycle has been abit out of whack since coming off the pill. Even if I did conceive my luteal phase may be too short this month for implantation to occur but we’ll just have to wait and see. AF usually always regular and on or off the pill and never longer than 28 days so I’m not holding out much hope this month tbh.

No, no sign just yet... although I feel like my skin has got quite bad last 2 days so that could be related to it starting. Im am usually a 28 day cycle (well I was 2 years ago anyway ha ha) but as I have no October cycle to compare it too, I assume it will be here 14 days after I ovulated. So I got my opk on Sunday 18th in the morning. I would assume then that af will come this Sunday or Monday? What was your first after pill cycle like @coco

Its strange all of our ovulations were not what we expected this month. @pastas was early wasnt it? Yours was later and mine arrived instead of first af.

Were your ovulations on schedule @mfbroome and @frillyfarmer ?

Tbh I used Morrison’s own cheapy with #2 but then I was actually 7weeks so I’m sure anything would of worked...I’ve never tested so early before? I just grabbed the cab one but I think next time I might go standard...Okay so I’m guilty I done another one this morning before work lol. I couldn’t help myself - bfn of course!
I’m almost certain my cramps are menstrual now lol. I’m going to put it to the back of my mind now I think - only thing is I’m out for dinner this weekend so I’ll have to take it easy on the 🍸😆
My ov was on schedule from the way I’ve tracked it over the past 6months but I’m not 100% sure tbh.

Hopefully your af will be on time for you unless of course you may have been lucky with when you DTD. I would assume it would be when you said aswell. AF returned 3 and half weeks after coming off the pill and I didn’t track ovulation or anything so I have no idea. This is the first time I’ve ever used opks and tracked it and I’m really glad I did or I would have never know about it being late this cycle. At least I can keep an eye on it now next cycle. I know all our cycles have been abit unpredictable this month. I’m hoping next month will be abit more predicable as it’s too much uncertainty haha!
