Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Hi ladies. Sorry I've been AWOL for the last week. Work was CRAZY to the point I fell asleep in my DD bed at 7 each night. It's helped keep my mind from symptom spotting. Did a cheapy test this morning and there was nothing there. But thought I'd just do a frer to check and I got this...

There's 2 lines isn't there? I told my partner we weren't pregnant this morning!!

Not yet heard out playing football. I didn't expect to see it. I just thought I'd check. Yes, I think really clear. The internet strips only showed a really really faint line, to the point where I thought it was an evaporator line or I'd just made myself see something!!

How are things going with you?

@pastasaucehoarder- don't believe the apps that predict ovulation. Or opks. Just dtd as my as possible. I thought I'd missed the window this month!!

So my first was a complete surprise :) I found out at 5 weeks was not expecting that one, and my second i didn’t have AF since I came of the pill so about 9months so I never knew when I was ovulating I started to use ovulation sticks and had a blood test to see if I had ovulated recently and then about a week later I done a test as I had some food aversions and then I was expecting #2, so I haven’t really tried very hard yet! This is the first time I’m following things properly

Sometimes my two are in bed by the time dh gets home but if he’s in early I’m like I’m just gonna jump in the bath 😏👌🏼 Door locked

Hah that made me laugh @Mfbroome. I can't remember the last time I had a bath where there wasn't a splashy toddler joining me! 😂
My DD was a lovely suprise too. We were in the middle of planning our wedding so I ended up walking down the aisle seven months pregnant!
So TTC our next little one is all new to me too. Fingers crossed for all of us! 🤞🏻

Took another OPK earlier and got another positive, and I'm getting a few mild cramps. Feeling better now, looks like I'm getting an extra fertile day added to my week. Gonna DTD later once the little'un is in bed and hope for the best!

@cheesemumma aww so happy for you. What a lovely surprise for your dh when he comes back. Good to know not to always trust the appts as so far it’s been completely wrong for me.

@Mfbroome completely jealous of your locked door bath! Like @pastasaucehoarder my baths consist of my little one splashing and soaking his outfit lol. Even when I set his toys out his favourite place is still standing right next to side of the bath!
@pastasaucehoarder that fantastic news that you’re getting positive opks still! I think you’ve hit your window perfectly and have a very good chance 🍀 I’m going to take my opk when I get home and see if any progress! If not I’ll still dtd tonight and test again tomorrow...(fc)

How did you find being pregnant at your wedding? Its an emotional day already so i can imagine 7 months pregnant I would of been crying all day! Did you have to change your original dress @pasta ?

@cheesemumma Didnt you only dtd once, quite a few days before ovulation? Do u remember how many days if u dont mind me asking? Just wondering how many days before ov u can still get prg. Yep still obsessing 😂

@Scarletrose18 tested and another negative oh well at least I know. Increase in CM which is a good sign. This is so weird. Has anybody ever heard of still ovulating with negative OPK? I’ll be on CD17 tomorrow and usually have 28 days cycle. How are you? Have you found any brazil nuts yet? There’s definitely a shortage lol

@cocobana Yes, with ds conception I never got a positive opk, it was always lighter than the test line, even the day of ovulation. The test I took last week was the first proper positive I have ever had. I read that some peoples sure might be so short that it would only be present for a matter of hours.

I am about to get a shower (baby free as he is downstairs glued to shrek lol) but when i get out ill look through my old pics for those tests to show u. x

P.s no brazil nuts... its a disgrace. 😂

Aww thanks @Scarletrose18 I hope so. I’m thinking either i’m ovulating and missed the surge like you said or it’s just late. I’m wondering with the increase in cm today thank maybe it’s just late. I’ve had faint second lines for about 3 days now but no +opk. I’m still pleased I’ve started with the opks because if I do ovulate freakishly late than I’m supposed to I need to know. Conceiving dc2 is seeming so much more tricky than it was with dc1. I didn’t even chart anything or have a clue when I ovulated with dc1 and just had regular sex and was very lucky. Oh enjoy your baby free time, it’s so rare we dm’s get a moment to our selves isn’t it!?

@scarlet Yes, at 4 days before ovulation. Where are you in your cycle now?

@coco I didn't get a positive opk. But I only tested once a day. Someone on here said that maybe my surge was really quick and I missed it in 24 hours. Do you test morning and night?
