Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

😂😂 noooo I just checked the back of the packet and they are almonds lol. But chocolate releases happy endorphins which will help ttc so I think we should add it to the list

@Scarletrose18 that’s okay, it’s hard to find what everyone’s said before lol x so my flo app says I ovulated Tuesday and if I’m honest I felt like I did, I had sore boobs two days leading up to that and cramps on one side along with ew cm! We had dtd sat and Sunday and Dtd wed aswell and then yday I felt crampy and ew cm again. I guess this is why ovulation sticks are the way forward hahaha you really know where u r. Tbh I would of like more time I’m the bedroom but with our long work hours it’s so hard lol

Apparently eating 3-5 brazil nuts a day during the TWW can help implantation, @Mfbroome! We don't know how true it is of course but we're trying everything we can! 😂

It is yes, @Mfbroome! My DD is 18 months old in two weeks, DH and I are sooo ready for another. I've got two pregnant SILs and one that gave birth last week so I'm particularly broody right now!

And yes, join us with the brazil nuts! We'll have to name our next thread The Brazil Nutters or something. 😂 We're on page 13 now, how crazy is that!

@mfbroome maybe your cycle will be similar to mine then as I got my opk positive on sunday so i would of ovulated mon I think. I got period cramps and they were sore and uncomfortable... i really thought my period was coming but @pasta said she gets the cramps too at ov so it must be normal.
What hours do you work?

Yeah I have Defo had cramps before,maybe I do get them throughout the fertile week and I’m just not normally as aware x
My hours are all over the place - not nights but just long some days and dh travels far daily to work so sometimes he’s out the house for 14 hours so mid week dtd is sometimes tiring 😂 especially after getting two kids to to bed lol. He said surely we can do weekends, I had to explain it doesn’t actually work like that mate lol. You have a specific window 🙈 feel like we got very lucky with the first two and now I’m crazy ttc woman. So your waiting on AF first right? @Scarletrose18

Ah it sounds like a busy life, @Mfbroome! Hah that made me laugh about your DH, I think my DH thinks it works that way too sometimes (though I like to think I've educated him a bit! 😂) How long did it take to conceive your first two children?

@broome about 3 weeks ago we started chatting i think. Oh really, 50 pages,maybe we can keep this thread going a few months then lol.
My dh works long days too. But I only work part time so I have lots of energy 😂
Yes waiting for AF. Havnt had a real one in more than 2 years now (since dc)

Im sure you will be the same with dc3, your obvously fertile and healthy to concieve 1 & 2 easily.

Just watching "sweet home sextuplets" that we had recorded and they have just brought home 6 babies!! Makes me realise how easy we have it lol

P.s i like your idea of the brazil nutters name @pasta lets do that once we reach 40 pages

Ohh I went through a phase of watching any documentary to do with multiples, @Scarletrose18! It fascinates me, I haven't seen that one though. Can't remember which ones I've seen, though I do remember The Little Lambs one on YouTube. I might try and see if I can find Sweet Home Sextuplets.

No iv never seen it. Will look it up. Its on TLC, its only 2 or 3 episodes in so u should be able to schedule it and catch up too. Imagine 6! Crazy feeding and nappies would just be constant all day.

@Scarletrose18 sorry took a while to get back. No opks as yet and I’ve also noticed I haven’t had much ewcm sorry if too much info! I have been DTD everyday just incase. I am starting to think I won’t ovulate today like I’m supposed to (on a 28 day cycle.) keep getting faint second lines and none nowhere near as deep as the control line. Did one this morning and faint line, will do another test this afternoon. It’s crazy because now I’m getting obsessed with ovulating and worried I won’t! It just feels like I should be by now. Anyway sorry to ramble on, how are you? I’ve been trying to catch up with the messages and omg I love toblerone, I’m trying to get dh the white one for Christmas but it’s sold out everywhere! I’m also having the exact same issue with brazil nuts, can’t get the little bugars anywhere lol I think I need to go to one of those weigh and buy stores where you get them out do the big barrels 😂 Then I feel it’s a waste of time because I haven’t ovulated so don’t need anything to assist implantation!

@PastaSauceHoarder how are you feeling today? Looks like you’ve been DTD which is great, never give up. You’ve ovulated early and I’ve not ovulated at all lol we’re a right pair aren’t we!? Who ever knew this fertility tracking would be so hard lol

@Mfbroome that sounds really tough your dh being gone so long at work. DH is usually away 12 hour days usually but he does occasionally get odd days off or alittle time here and there and he doesn’t work weekends. It’s a long day when they’re away so long isn’t it!? When he gets in the door I’m so ready to let him him over with ds and I only have one dc! I don’t know how I’ll be with 2 and hope I cope!

Oh dear how frustrating that you're still getting faint lines! What CD are you on now?
I know, aren't our stupid bodies bloody unpredictable. We DTD at about 18:30 yesterday and then I managed to convince DH for another sneaky one at about 02:00 in the morning. So two so far, not sure if it will help but at least I can say I tried!

I’m on CD16 and no signs of ovulation. Been getting faint lines for a couple of days now but still a negative. That’s great that you’ve took full advantage DTD they don’t take much persuasion do they!? My dh will lsay he’s tired but he’s never that tired that it prevents him from DTD lol. You have a good chance and at least you’re fertile. I’m starting to think I’ll never ovulate and dr google has freaked me out. I was reading of cases where some women don’t ovulate every cycle despite getting AF

Step away from Google @Cocobana, it is not your friend!! I wouldn't worry too much just yet, I normally ovulate on CD17 and I just had a look and it says its normal to ovulate anywhere from CD11 to CD21 - so maybe it'll just be a few days yet?

Thank you @PastaSauceHoarder you’ve made me feel better. You’re right I’m just panicking when really it could just take longer. I wonder if my cycle will still be 28 days, I guess I won’t know until next AF. I have a feeling at this rate we’ll have to make a new thread for December ttc lol November isn’t going to well for all of us is it!?!

@cocobana aww, im sure u are feeling very frustrated. Were u testing once or twice a day? If your test has missed it, its all good as you have dtd lots 🙂 or as @pasta says maybe u will be ov a little later. Either way.... you will catch it with dtd reguarily. But its hard not to worry. yes i know what u mean, been a crazy month for us all.

My dh has worked late and been stressed all week too. Hoping next fertile time when need to dtd is quieter at work for him or ill have to wake him at 2am after hes had a bit of a rest like @pasta did. 😂That made me laugh btw. Im sure ur dh didnt mind!

It isn't going well at all is it!! Just tried to DTD again but DH couldn't, ahem, 'perform'.
I know its not his fault and I am asking a lot of him, but its still irritating - he has one job!

Anyway, can't be helped. Feel like I'm getting some cramps now so I must be ovulating today maybe. Will take another OPK soon and see whats going on.

Whats everyone doing this weekend? I'm going to paint DDs bedroom today - sounds like I chore but I've been desperate to paint it since we bought the house a whole year ago!

@Scarletrose18 thank you for your kind words. I know i’m so obsessed with it. I started off testing once a day but during my fertile window I’ve been testing twice a day and getting abit crazy with it tbh and tested three times one of the days . I don’t think I’ve missed it, haven’t had any of the other symptoms either like cm or cramps or anything. Hopefully it’s just late, I think I’m expecting my body to behave like it did when I was a lot younger and not on the pill and have to remember I’m older now and things may have changed!
I know what you mean about the stress, dh has been stressed with work too and I’ve been abit stressed of late and I don’t think this has helped matters .I bet these other factors could be delaying my ovulation maybe as well. Last night we had a curry and acouple of drinks and tried to relax abit which I think helped us! It’s stressful being a proper grownup with a child isn’t it!?
Lol @PastaSauceHoarder you made me laugh, I think we’re making our dh’s into our DTD slaves at the moment, they don’t get much choice do they!? As soon as we see those longer for two lines on a pregnancy test they’ll be getting dumped like hot cakes lol

Today we’re going to visit family and tomorrow jobs around house unfortunately. I really need to redecorate parts of my house, it’s hard to find the time ain’t it with a little one running around!? Wow a year isn’t long, I bet that was a big upheaval with your dd. We’ve been in our house comin up to 3 years next year and it still feels like so much to do to it.
