Good luck for tomorrow @CritterTamer x

WishingonaStar77 · 21/10/2018 20:51

@CritterTamer oh lots of luck to you too then 😊
I actually started acupuncture 4 weeks ago so who knows it may have already helped 😊 x

WishingonaStar77 · 22/10/2018 08:52

Morning.. I tested. Still the same barely visible line 😩. I would have expected with FMU this to be a little more visible than last night.

Maybe it's too soon and maybe it's another chemical. Either way I have no sign of AF my spotting has stopped and I'm due on today/tomorrow.

I'll wait and test again in a day or two if AF hasn't made an appearance 😒 x

Rose68 · 22/10/2018 09:08

@Wishingonastar it sounds promising! What brand are you using to with? I think it can make a difference.

@CritterTamer how did the test go?

I have also retested this morning & got a much stronger line. Although still not as strong as Critters. I’m 14 dpo today.

WishingonaStar77 · 22/10/2018 09:32

@Rose68 thank you. But I'm thinking it's another chemical. But I'm taking it as a huge positive beging 41 that I'm still getting PG X

I always use the twin pack ASDA ones..

Congrats on your strong BFP x

Dinah99 · 22/10/2018 10:39

@WishingonaStar77 they say it takes hcg levels 48 hours to double so might be better tomorrow? x
@Rose68 congrats on stronger line, exciting x

CritterTamer · 22/10/2018 13:03

Congrats on the stronger line @Rose68 😊
@Wishingonastar77 you’re not out yet - test again tomorrow!

AFM - it’s official test day so tested this morning with clear blue digital and got 2 - 3 weeks pregnant. Did the math using the beta result from Thursday and it looks correct - if everything is progressing normally it would be due to change to 3+ weeks in a couple of days so might test again on Thursday to set my mind at rest. Going to the clinic today for an ovary scan to monitor the OHSS which does seem to be getting better yay 😳

Rose68 · 22/10/2018 13:22

@CritterTamer Yay! Sounds like things are progressing as they should for you, and good news that you are feeling a little better. I also have a twin pack of digital tests, which I plan to use in the same way as you (all being well). x

StarShapedWindow · 22/10/2018 13:39

Congratulations to Rose and Critter!

Wishing On A Star - I never had really dark lines with either of my DC, not sure why but they always looked quite faint. Both resulted in full term pregnancies.

I’m going to wait to TTC until the new year, my first DC has a summer birthday and I always felt he was too young when he started school - I realise this is a ridiculous reason but the amount of times I’ve cursed not thinking about the timing of his conception makes me think it’s worth the wait. Does anyone else spend too much time thinking of names for DC not yet conceived?

CritterTamer · 22/10/2018 13:46

@Starshapedwindow yes! I used to do that all the time. Now I actually have a BFP I’m too scared to think about it though incase everything goes wrong.

StarShapedWindow · 22/10/2018 13:54

Critter - I know that feeling! When I was pregnant with my son I didn’t get the prom delivered until about a day before my due date! I didn’t pump up my birthing pool until I went into labour (big mistake!). I’m so happy for you, it’s such an exciting time.

StarShapedWindow · 22/10/2018 13:54

Sorry, pram not prom!

Chatbash72 · 22/10/2018 13:59

Congratulations @CritterTamer

Cleozeta · 22/10/2018 15:42

Congrats Critter Smile
Your success with this has made me decide I'm definitely signing myself up to a clinic. And I need to do it before I turn 42.
Arrrggghh! Scared.

Rose68 · 22/10/2018 16:00

@StarShapedWindow - I totally get that, in fact, my younger self did exactly the same thing. I waited until mid December at age 33 to ttc our first child. It worked first month and his due date was 7 September. I then spent the whole pregnancy stressing that he would be born at the end of August (he came on his due date). Second time around things didn’t go quite to plan with it taking us nearly a year to conceive, so he was born in April.
Now it’s different because I am getting older by the second, so we just wanted to crack on as soon as possible. x

StarShapedWindow · 22/10/2018 16:12

Lucky you to get a September born! My poor DS is mid July. Yes, age is an issue for me this time around. I may not be able to get pregnant at all let alone pick which season suits us best! Having said that, I have one in winter, one in summer and I lost one that would have been born in September so an autumn baby would be nice.

Cleozeta · 22/10/2018 16:27

Be honest - has anyone else ever examined a BFN under a magnifying glass to get a hope of even a hint of a line?

PetraRabbit · 22/10/2018 16:44

Star...I'm the opposite. My DC was a June date and I desperately want to conceive in the next 2 cycles so I can have an August baby as a sibling. To have only just over 2 years between them but be 3 school years apart (if I got a September 2019 baby) would be a shame socially...in terms of their friends all getting on, going to big school/uni at more similar times....etc. I'd be requesting a csection again so I'm always calculating how many more cycles I could fit in before hitting that September date with no leeway to force it into August!!! I also think my current DC will benefit lots from going to school earlier but obviously they are all different. I would have loved an October baby (my mmc due date is this week waaaaaah) fir the lovely cosy bonnets and woollies and snuggly clothes. A newborn in a t-shirt is much less appealing. I do think of names too, but I like the subject of names anyway!

PetraRabbit · 22/10/2018 16:46

Cleo......not yet...but give me a week or so...ha

Rose68 · 22/10/2018 17:03

@Cleozeta, I haven’t, but I have taken tests apart and studied them at every angle possible in good light by the window. x

StarShapedWindow · 22/10/2018 17:04

Petra, an August baby would be gorgeous, all the walks with the pram and sitting out with the baby in the garden. My DS is dyslexic so school is a bit trickier for him than most other, hence wishing he’d been born later. Sorry you had a MMC, maybe if you don’t manage an August baby you’ll get an October snuggly, wrapped in woolies one! BTW if I have a girl we’ve picked Petra as her name.

Cleo- if I get a BFN I call it some unsavoury names, snap it in half and banish it to the bin.

StarShapedWindow · 22/10/2018 17:05

Rose’s treatment of the BFN sounds much more civilised than mine!

Cleozeta · 22/10/2018 17:21

Haha yes I was tempted to do that with mine star. But I could have sworn thete was something there, so I did the holding it under the light thing, shoved it in the drawer (because I knew if it went in the bin I'd only have to dig it out again) then came back to it with the magnifying glass. And the blip I saw on it was confirmed as a sodding indent. Grrr.
As for season. I'd take any.
Deffo going to clinic now. Better get saving.

CritterTamer · 22/10/2018 17:21

Just back from my OHSS scan - ugh, it’s still there. I thought it was getting better because I’d been in a bit less pain but apparently that’s just because of all the water I’m drinking. Ovaries are still very large and there’s masses of fluid floating around in my abdomen/pelvis. There is slightly less around my stomach and diaphragm though (which I could tell because I’ve been able to breathe better) so doc is happy that things should move in the right direction and hopefully not get worse. Annoyingly I have to keep doIng the extremely painful daily injections of blood thinner for 2 more weeks 😒

The silver lining to all this is that the fact that the OHSS is still there means the pregnancy is still progressing and first scan is booked for two weeks today 😁

@Cleozeta - I say go for it, but be prepared for it to not necessarily work first time!

weasledee · 22/10/2018 17:25

Exciting stuff Critter!! So, what we thinking.... 1 or 2.....?
