Diarrhea and sickness in full swing this morning and I haven't even eaten anything for the past 2 days. Am at work now and drinking peppermint tea. I do not have any explanation for this. Roll on Tuesday so I can test and have answers to it all!

Russkispy · 20/10/2018 08:41

@Presh12345 sorry about AF. Hope you'll have a good consultation at the clinic. Good luck!

weasledee · 20/10/2018 09:14

Sorry presh..... :(

So I'm 1DPO and I'm really thinking if this doesn't work then that's it, no pressure then!!
This month the dtd twice as much as I'm previous months, we're both delighted that we don't have to do it tonight!!!
Fingers crossed....

Rose68 · 20/10/2018 09:38

Sorry about AF @Presh12345.

Thank you for all the messages yesterday! After a very exciting day, I have been brought back to earth with a bump after googling miscarriage rates this morning. I think hubby is going to confiscate all my devices soon.
@Mellongoose and @Floodsquidge what supplements have you been taking? Did you continue with any of the conception supplements? Thank you x

Dinah99 · 20/10/2018 10:29

@Russkispy I don't think peppermint tea is safe to drink when pregnant, I vaguely remember from first time round, I could be wrong x

Dinah99 · 20/10/2018 10:29

Or ttc

Russkispy · 20/10/2018 10:38

@Dinah99 oh bummer! Thought it might help me with feeling sick/nausea! Where's Dr Google....

Russkispy · 20/10/2018 10:39

.....thank you Dr Google :
Peppermint tea has a calming and numbing effect, and it has commonly been used to treat several digestive issues such as nausea, diarrhea and flatulence.
(Right up my street!

Dinah99 · 20/10/2018 10:49

@Russkispy blimey, I was told to avoid it and anything with menthol in it. I used to live on the stuff and haven't drank it for years because of that. So much mixed info out there.

Rose68 · 20/10/2018 10:51

@Floofsquidge, sorry managed a typo in your name above Smile

@Russkispy have you told your clinic how you are feeling? They might have some advice. x

Floofsquidge · 20/10/2018 11:03

@Rose68 I was taking pregnacare conception and coenzyme q10, although I was only taking the q10 for a few weeks before BFP so not sure it would have had time to make any difference. I switched to pregnacare pregnancy a few days after first BFP when period missed and take that daily with dinner. Also stopped taking the q10 straight away as I read you shouldn't take it while pregnant.
Midwife has told me to go to surgery to pick up prescription for baby aspirin at 12 weeks.

Chatbash72 · 20/10/2018 11:28

@Russkispy ginger good with nausea unless you have hg... @weasledee now relax.... 🤣 @Rose68 step away from the internet x

Chatbash72 · 20/10/2018 12:53

I like to not put life on hold just in case I fell preg.. but have just booked tickets to see pink in June.. hmmmm if I get a bfp this month I can see the DM headlines now.. older mum gives birth at concert.. 🤣🤣🤣

Rose68 · 20/10/2018 13:44

@Chatbash72, I think you definitely have the right plan. This is what I did too, including Take That tickets in late May, standing tickets as well I think.

Dinah99 · 20/10/2018 14:21

I've just read that you should have sec every other day all month long for best chances.... omg I can barely cope with EOD during fertile week nevermind all month long! Maybe another couple of times during month but that's it... have I got it all wrong? That fertile week just knackered me out.
Well done for booking Pink and not putting life on hold, I didn't book kylie because I was so convinced I'd be pregnant, totally missed out... pink is amazing live.

Dinah99 · 20/10/2018 14:21

Sex.... Confused

BooseysMom · 20/10/2018 15:20

Wow Critter I have never seen such a strong line!! ..congratulations Flowers
Also congratulations to Rose68..a nice line there too! Flowers
Critter...yes it's completely normal to panic..I had to pull over into a layby after our GP visit and I cried and cried and I wasn't even sure why!! Confused
Let's .. I'm doing ok thanks. Currently in fertile window and dtd yesterday..how are you feeling now?

BooseysMom · 20/10/2018 15:37

Russkispy...your doctor sounds wonderful Smile.. We could all do with someone like that. I can imagine how touching that was as I also lost my mum to cancer 2.5 years ago.
Floofsquidge...what a contrast with Russ''s doctor! How disgusting to practically tell you you have no chance of conceiving if you leave it any later than 37! So how does that explain my pregnancy at 40-41?!! Stupid woman!! Angry

CritterTamer · 20/10/2018 15:42

@Booseysmom thank you. It’s sunk in now and the panic has turned to fear that it won’t stick. I wish there was a way to turn my brain off from thinking about it! I was also wondering about whethe4 I should keep taking supplements earlier - I didnt know about the ubiquinol not being safe so thanks for letting us know that @Floofsquidge

Cleozeta · 20/10/2018 15:42

Russkispy - should you really be at work with sickness & diarrhea? Hopefully it's pregnancy related but what if its a virus? And still - must be rubbush! I'd want to be at home in a big duvet!!

Good luck weasle!

Rose - try not to worry too much about mc (I know easier said than done) I did that during my pregnancy this year, and even though it did end at 10 weeks I do regret detatching myself from it for protection.

As for peppermint tea, never heard of that being a problem in pregnancy before, I drank it through all of mine. Although ginger is supposed to be better for nausea

Chatbash72 · 20/10/2018 16:45

@Dinah99 we are normally quite active 🤣🤣🤦‍♀️ but not too much so far this month.. he's being an arse... but we suffered a slight dtd injury this morning.. squashed testicle.. hopefully he's back on form later 😱

CritterTamer · 20/10/2018 17:06

@Chatbash72 - the squashed testicle thing just made me giggle 😁 Hope your DH is ok and fit for duty again soon! X

karryk · 20/10/2018 18:57

Big congrats @CritterTamer GrinFlowers fantastic news! Fingers crossed for a healthy and happy pregnancy xx

Still still still awaiting AF Hmm waah!

Chatbash72 · 20/10/2018 18:58

@CritterTamer it didn't make him giggle but still finished the job in hand... 🤣🤣

Chatbash72 · 20/10/2018 18:59
