TTC baby number 3 at nearly 40

Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up!

@Bloodylegoeverywhere I haven't done an FRER but just did a clear blue digital and it said 'Not pregnant' 😫

@makeawish I'm 5dpo today or maybe 6 or 7 as my temp rose on the 3rd Sep and had ewcm but then the extreme cm wasn't till the 7th and 8th. My temp has gone up and down slightly but no lower than before ovulation and today it was 36.3 (guess I run cold ish)

@Bloodylegoeverywhere so you've had 2 temperature spikes? Hmm, interesting!! How long are your cycles? Won't be long til you can poas - this may be a lucky thread...?!! X

My spike on the 8th, I slept in but i spiked again today taking my temp at the usual time. My cycles since March have been between 24-32 days. Think the 32 days was only because I took evening primrose oil for my whole cycle as I think you generally take them till ovulation?

I have caved and bought opks. I tested today as I’ve been a bit crampy and just made myself more confused! DP back this time next week.

I have! I’m a Primary School teacher with v young children so it’s been an emotional week for them (and me!)

I was off today so I’ve cleaned, stripped beds, baked cakes, peed on sticks 😂😂

I’m confused because test should be negative. No temp spike, no ewcm but it’s not a clear negative. I’ve had some spotting too which I’ve put down to my quality time with DP last weekend and the hormone changes with coming off the pill.

I’ll see if I can upload a pic...

Well it could be random ovulation whilst your body sorts itself out or you are Actually pregnant?
If not is dh home for the next cycle (whenever that is due to the pill?)

@LatteLover12 are the 2 lines as dark as each other? Apparently the test line needs to be as dark or darker as the control line to be positive... hoping you're just gearing up to ov next week when DH is home! Fingers crossed xx weirdly I also work in a primary school, as an LSA!

They look the same yes, the control line is weirdly feint though. I’m really hoping my body is just getting into the swing of things and I’ll ovulate this time next week.

I took a pg test but it’s 100% negative. Will keep an eye on my temps & maybe do another opk tomorrow.

My cycles after having DS2 were 34 days. So ovulation around cd20 would be about right. I’ve convinced myself that the last day of my pill bleed should be cd1 because my body ‘thought’ it was still on the pill until then.

Oh God. I’m insane aren’t i?! 😂

PS) I bloody love my LSA 😀
