Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up! Wink

@LatteLover12 we're all insane when we're ttc' ing! It's unavoidable!
Ahh that's so nice. I have made some lovely, lovely teacher friends over the years of working there. My partner is a teacher and we met there too.
Ok so cd20 it is. Ignore those bloody opks I could never get a correct result on those things. Go by your Ewcm and temp I reckon xx got everything crossed for you. I truly think this could be a lucky thread! Xx

Eek! I really hope so @makeawhish how are you feeling? Are you POAS again tomorrow?

MakeAWhish · 14/09/2018 21:40

@LatteLover12 I'm tired, sore veiny boobs (tmi?!) can feel some pulling in my abdomen - all the early pregnancy signs! And I have been having really vivid dreams for about 2 weeks. So I kind of felt like I was pregnant, to be honest. We're over the moon, allowing ourselves to believe it. I'll be poas'ing every day for a week just to confirm it I think!!! Xx

I’m so pleased for you 😊😊😊

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 14/09/2018 22:54

Very exciting @makeawhish

I read somewhere you count back 20 days from your period and that's your start of your fertile phase... only works if you are regular I guess WinkConfused
I've had slight cramps since Sunday, just a few light ones each day and tonight I had some more painful ones! I've poas many times as I had some cheapies from the poundshop!

MakeAWhish · 15/09/2018 23:11

After another feint positive today, I've started bleeding. So I guess it was a chemical pregnancy. Onwards and upwards xx

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 16/09/2018 08:20

oh I'm sorry @makeawhish Sad hope you are ok!

MakeAWhish · 16/09/2018 08:46

@Bloodylegoeverywhere thanks lovely. It is what it is! What a rollercoaster 1st month! Ha xx Hope you're all well x

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 16/09/2018 08:52

here's to this month and trying again. Yes I'm ok, tired this weekend and sore nipples.... deciding between buying a frer or just waiting. Af is due anytime after this Friday.

MakeAWhish · 16/09/2018 10:27

Hmm, the waiting to test is soon hard - if you're anything like me, you'll cave and start testing tomorrow Grin

OP posts:
LatteLover12 · 16/09/2018 17:59

Ah @makeawhish I’m sorry to hear that. When was AF due? Hope you’re okay x

MakeAWhish · 16/09/2018 18:03

@LatteLover12 Thanks, darling. I'm ok. I was 9 and 10 days late when I got the feint bfps, so there was obviously something weird going on. I'm staying positive for this month! How's things with you? Xx

OP posts:
LatteLover12 · 16/09/2018 18:11

I’m okay thanks, looks like my body is gearing up towards ovulation so I’m hoping my body can hang on until Friday when DP gets home!

Can’t actually believe it’s Sunday night again, where has the weekend gone?!

MakeAWhish · 16/09/2018 18:18

@LatteLover12 Ohh I really hope your ovulation comes on Friday or thereabouts! Would be so frustrating to miss it. And we all love the 2WW madness don't we?!
I know, so bummed that the weekend is over. It's been a weird one for us. OH dislocated his knee at football, so spent 2 hours nursing him on a football pitch waiting for an ambulance, then 4 further hours in a&e. It was when we got home that I discovered the blood. Poor OH, he's in such a pickle. He was supposed to be running a half marathon today to raise funds for a little girl at our school who's quite poorly.
Sorry - downer! We've actually had a lovely sunday with the kids, all of us chilling at home wearing our slob out clothes and I cooked a roast. And am enjoying a glass of wine, now I know I'm out for this month xx

LatteLover12 · 16/09/2018 19:25

He dislocated his knee?! Shock I hope he’s taking the week off! Bloody teachers, hobbling around 😂

My day started with football too. 10yo DS was called a c* by another 10 yo!!

Thank god for wine 🍷😃

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 16/09/2018 20:26

@makeawhish! Yes off to boots tmrw Wink I should wait but I'm in town anyway!!!!
Oh no to your dh! Hope he feels better soon!
Omg I'd be peeved if someone called my son that!
Enjoy your wine!!

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 16/09/2018 20:28

Gah I'm rubbish, was trying to reply to Makeawhish first and then got confused.

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 16/09/2018 20:30

Ovulation window can last 6 days so you might you make it.

MakeAWhish · 16/09/2018 20:37

@LatteLover12 He's taking a few days off - hoping not to take the whole week. Thing is, is he's the PE teacher! If he was class based he could hobble around easier. But he runs sports clubs before and after school as well so they've all had to be cancelled - really not ideal! He's just had an amazon prime delivery of a new PS4 game to play while off - so that's cheered him up Grin
Wow, the C word at 10?! That's extra!! Shock

MakeAWhish · 16/09/2018 20:38

@Bloodylegoeverywhere hahaha, make sure it's an FRER! I'm slightly disappointed that I'll have to wait a while to feed my POAS addiction! X

OP posts:
Bloodylegoeverywhere · 17/09/2018 09:05

Yes will get a frer, probably a double pack as I'm obsessed on poas! Lol ah can you pee on opks instead @makeawhish Wink

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 17/09/2018 11:06

It's a bfn. Only 9dpo, it's not over till af arrives!

seastargirl · 17/09/2018 11:59

Hi, can I join in, I'm 37 trying for no 3, have a 5 and 6 year old and a miscarriage last year.

On month 4 and to say things are p'ing me off is an understatement. We're only trying till Feb and then stopping and booking Lapland if I'm not pregnant!

I have pcos which just adds to the fun.

This month I've been using the clear blue advanced digital which gave me a peak ready on Friday, have been doing the one step ones as well, but these are still not quite positive (opinions welcome on attached pic) so I'm a bit clueless at what to believe! I'm doing bbt and no shift yet.

Hope those in the 2ww are finding it's going quickly and those trying are having more luck than me with whatever methods you're using!

Welcome @seastargirl ! I'm sorry things are getting you down. I hate those IC OPK's, I can never work them out. I guess the test line isn't as dark as the control line so isn't positive? Looks near as dammit, tho. Fingers crossed you figure things out for this cycle xx
