Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up! Wink

Hi @LatteLover12 ! All was really good, thank god! I was so nervous leading up to it, and so relieved to see everything was ok! Measuring 11w5d which is exactly what I thought I was which is great. Nuchal fold measurement nice and low too. Just waiting for blood results! Happy day.

CAC5 · 02/02/2019 22:07

Hi, Your thread stood out for me. Im new here....
Im 39 (40 in May) and have just started trying to conceive baby number three with my new partner. I have two kids from my first marriage aged 9 and 7 but the maybe baby will be his first. So lovely to hear all has worked out for you. It gives me hope. Im healthy but a bit worried about my age...
Please wish me luck! :-) xx

MakeAWhish · 03/02/2019 07:26

Wishing you loads of luck @CAC5 ! How exciting, you're in the same position as a lot of us here! I'm currently nearly 15 weeks with our maybe baby. It's so lovely doing it with someone who's going through it for the first time. Makes it a really happy time. I'm savouring it all in a way I didn't with the girls, as I know this will definitely be my last!
Wishing you lots of luck on your journey. Am sure the other ttc girls will be along with some solidarity soon! Xx

Hey how is everyone doing!? I've been lurking a bit on conception boards still, no news though Wink

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 29/07/2019 07:14

Hi I wondered if anyone was still about on here I’ve just read through all these messages as thought this sounded a good fit for me! I am 38 with a 7 and 5 year old and and we had planned to stick with two but think we’ve changed our minds and after a year of debating it think its time to try eek! 😆😊

@MakeAWhish did you have your baby yet and how is it going?

MakeAWhish · 29/07/2019 08:37

@Wakemeupwithcoffee Hi there! Yes, baby Lennon was born 12 days ago! I know it's early days, but it is the best thing ever. 3 is the magic number! The girls love him and are so helpful with him. He's a really chilled little dude and we're all so in love. I'm excited for you! Hands down best decision we've made! Xx

@MakeAWhish ah that’s wonderful thanks for posting. That is so great to hear, congratulations! Did you feel scared before you went for it (TTC)? We have been debating so long and now we are about to try I feel a bit scared. We are anxious people and keep saying what if there is something seriously wrong with the baby and it affects all our lives and should we be grateful for two healthy children which is more than some people get and count our lucky stars and don’t risk it! My husband is also worried about something happening to me during the birth as I lost a lot of blood last time. So nice to hear you feel best decision ever! Also worried it’s two big a gap now (would be a 6 year gap) but I think the kids would love it and were asking the other day!

LatteLover12 · 29/07/2019 11:01

Ah congratulations @MakeAWhish that's wonderful news Smile

No news here unfortunately. Still trying but we're approaching a year now and I've just turned 38 so beginning to think it's not going to be.

Not giving up yet and have just started a new cycle so who knows.

A friend of mine just had her first at 38 so I know it's still a possibility.

Just going to enjoy the summer holidays and see what happens 😊

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 29/07/2019 13:56

Ah amazing news. Congratulations @makeawhish. Enjoy your new baby! No news here, not trying anymore. Good luck to those who are Smile
@lattelover12 have you been to the doctors to tell them it's not working!?

LatteLover12 · 29/07/2019 14:14

No, not yet. It took my a while with the other 2 and my obstetric history is the stuff of nightmares!

I might go before I'm back at work in September

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 29/07/2019 18:52

Good luck @LatteLover12

@Bloodylegoeverywhere do you mind if I ask how you feel about no longer trying? Do you feel at peace with it? I think we may only try for a few months and try to let it go if nothing happens.

I think I should be ovulating in a few days this will be month number 1!

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 30/07/2019 07:37

@wakemeupwithcoffee hmm tricky one I swing between peace and being slightly sad. I have two boys and hard a hard/traumatic time having the second so realistically I need to stick with my two. We dont use contraceptives but wonder if one of us have an issue as there has been nothing in a year now.

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 30/07/2019 07:38

@wakemeupwithcoffee. Your situation sounds very similar to mine... no answer really but sometimes we have to be grateful for what we have!?Confused
