TTC baby number 3 at nearly 40

Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up!

@Bloodylegoeverywhere haha, genius idea. I actually feel cramps starting so hopefully that means she's on her way! Hmm... your cycles are confusing. Did you get a gp apt? Are you going to use opks? X

Will ring them Monday as there was no female doctors today and I'm off work Monday. Half of me wants to wait and see if it happens again with the mid spotting but yet dtd again wed there was no blood after.
Basically I'm just putting it off but my dh said I should get checked.

No opks as I was obsessed last time numbering and photographing them. Will find my photos later! Have been attempting to take my temperature though...
Enjoy the beer oh to the cramps but it does mean you can start a new cycle ready to try!

DP is on his way home from working away for a fortnight. I’m on CD10 but there's absolutely no sign of ovulation. Still worth a try though, right? 😂

Temping is going well & I still can’t actually believe I’m doing this again!

@LatteLover12 yes, definitely worth a try! Go for it! Still no AF here, cramps feel like AF cramps so I'm sure she's on her way. I'm not sad or disheartened at all I just want her here so we can start trying again next cycle. Was talking to a friend earlier who ended up having ivf due to polycystic ovaries and bought me back down to earth. There's no way I will get disheartened, it's only month 1 if properly ttc. I think it's just my age that puts the pressure on. And yes, I am drunk. Very drunk. Life is good right now! Whoop!

No idea this cycle @bloodylegoeverywhere as it’s my first go off the pill.

I have longer cycles usually (pre pill) & used to ovulate around CD20 so long to wait!

How’s the head today @MakeAWhish? I may have had a glass or two last night too 😁

@LatteLover12 lets hope for good news in 2 weeks time then! Fingers crossed! Still no AF here. BDing hasn't bought it on. Really really vivid dreams every night for over a week. But with my other two, I got BFP's before AF was due so I'm not holding out any hope xx

@makeawish sometimes we have long cycles for no reason. It might now be delayed because your stressing over it. maybe give it another week and then ring the doctors?

I've had slight pinching in my right side a couple of times over the last day or so. Love it, googling signs at 2po if I am 2dpo. Very early but what else do I Google at turned up yet @makeawish

DP is now away again for another fortnight. I miss him so much but I am also now hoping not to ov until CD25!

And this is me chilled out about ttc!!

@Bloodylegoeverywhere Gotta love a symptom spot! I've had all sorts for the past 2 weeks, my google history is psychotic. Today I just googled 'Where is my period?!' like I was going to get a personal answer. Exactly 1 week late today, and another bfn

@lattelover12 that must be hard him being away for ages. Hope you find something else to do to keep busy?

Oh how funny, yes I Google random crap like that.
Someone else on the conception (I think thread has had a period gone awol) it can happen every now and then which doesn't help! Yet doctors don't seem bothered and say wait a few weeks!
Have decided if it didn't work this month then defo doctors after my next period as I've had cramps and pinching for days now which is unusual so will see what they say. And also step away from Google

Still no AF. And faint lines on tests 2 days running... wondering if I've had a freaky long cycle (cycles were long years ago, 40+ days, before my other two) and I'm starting to be optimistic......

Well Google says it could be anything that's a annoying that they were long. .
