TTC baby number 3 at nearly 40

Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up!

Temp drop and AF this morning! What on earth?!

Why do our bodies go mad when we start ttc? Now I have to decide if the ewcm and OPKs we’re wrong or my LP has just drastically shortened

@LatteLover12 No way?? What cd are you (were you) on when af showed up? Last month I ovulated on cd23. So this month, from CD1, I took Angus castus. One a day until cd14. And it looks like I have a positive opk today on cd16. I did it 10 years ago on the cycle I fell pregnant with DD1 as if heard it regulates cycles and lengthens luteal phase. Worth a try for you if you're def out this month? I got mine on Amazon.

We have lots of sex when we’re together so if he was here all the time we’d be ok I think.

Sorry @LatteLover12. I know how disappointing it is. I really felt it last month when AF arrived.

Hi everyone. I've been to the drs this week coz I had some bleeding after sex..so worried! They took some swabs and said everything looks ok up there. I'm on OD9 now and the bleeding was on OD6..could this be implantation bleeding? But then coz it was after sex I'm not so sure. Has anyone else had this? Xx

Sorry just realised it's supposed to be DPO haha..still getting used to it! Lol

Hmm, could have been. Did you tell the Gp you were TTC and what cycle day you were on?

Hi yes I told her we were ttc and that my period is due next Tuesday but she didn't suggest it could be implantation bleeding. I also googled and it said the bleeding could be that my cervix is soft and more sensitive if it is early pregnancy. Guess I'll have to wait until next Tuesday to do a test..can't stand the waiting! Xx

So ladies.... 10dpo today and have got a faint line on an FRER this morning! Keep everything crossed for a sticky one. How's everyone else? @LatteLover12 @Bloodylegoeverywhere ? Xx

I've already done 2 more tests since this morning 🙈 all positive, just dying to see the progression now xx

I'm sick as a dog and exhausted, but happily plodding on! Had a private scan and all ok at 8 weeks, now nervously awaiting 12 week scan which is in 11 days!

I must have spent £60 on pregnancy tests! Took some convincing! Hope you're more trusting of them!

Oh you poor thing - is it hyperemesis? So happy to hear all was well with 8 week scan. I can't believe you're nearly 12 weeks already! Hope the sickness passes soon. Xx

Hi everyone, I hope you don’t mind me joining. I was so delighted to see ‘a trying in your 40s thread’! I’m 41, my partner is 46. Im ttc#3. I’ve a 9 year old son and 8 year old daughter from my first marriage. DP has a 13 year old son from his first marriage. We’re a happy blended family. A new little addition would be a real joy for us. I’m starting the TWW today and hoped to find some lovely ladies who’re going through the same thing to share it with.
I’m 1 DPO (if I’ve worked it out right!) and already excited and nervous!
It sounds like you girls have been through the ups and downs of this TTC in your 40s these last couple of months! Congratulations and good luck to everyone!!!

@Bloodylegoeverywhere Yep, another test this morning which was slightly darker but I'm still only 11dpo with AF not due til Wednesday. I'll try attach a pic! Xx

@MakeAWhish and @LatteLover12 I was on this thread back at the start in Sept! I am loving all your charts!! My younger OH proposed to me a few weeks ago and we've booked wedding for June. As soon as we are married I will be on the TTC bus! I just want to enjoy wedding /honeymoon first. But cannot wait to get coil out
