Awesome @Maydot lovely lot of BFPs! Definately feels more hopeful! X

KnitKitty · 31/07/2018 17:43

Russkispy I'm glad for you that AF has started. Fresh start, new cycle. Good luck this month.

PurpleFushia Well done for the self-control! I have my fingers crossed for you for when you do test.

Hi xJune88 so sorry for your losses and AF arriving. As you said, it's giving your body a chance to heal a bit more. Be kind to yourself and take it easy. Hugs xxx

PassTheAfterEights lovely to see you again on here, and especially as it comes with such good news!!! Congratulations! :D xxx
Interesting about the heat messing with ovulation. I suspect I haven't ovulated this cycle. AF still hasn't shown and BFN on Sunday.

zarala best of luck for Friday. Mixed emotions on this journey are completely normal. I totally understand feeling both nervous and excited about seeing a BFP.

Maydot Congratulations! :D

KnitKitty · 31/07/2018 17:44

YellowDaffodils86 How are you doing?

Cakelaur · 31/07/2018 18:08

@PassTheAfterEights there no mistaking that line!! 😍 I found out today at my 20week scan that I'm placenta previa and now consultant led and have a couple of extra scans! (Yay for the scans) but the worry never stops. And I found out it's a boy! 💙 we weren't gonna find out but we were done with surprises!

KnitKitty · 31/07/2018 18:33

Congratulations on having a boy Cakelaur! Sorry it's not smooth sailing, but at least you're under a more watchful eye now. :) I can't believe you're at 20 weeks already! Doesn't feel that long ago that you posted your 12 week scan! Time flies!

strawberrye · 31/07/2018 18:36

@maydot congratulations!
@PassTheAfterEights what a line! Darker even than the control! Congratulations and glad to hear there was a positive reason for you being quiet recently.

Still waiting for this non-starter cycle to end here, AF due any day, can't wait to get cracking with my next cycle so we can actually try again!

SunshineSparklesSmiles · 31/07/2018 19:18

How lovely to see more BFPs! Congratulations ladies, it's wonderful news!

SunshineSparklesSmiles · 31/07/2018 19:38

I caved and tested early at 10dpo today as I had flu like symptoms last night, a funny feeling in my tummy and nausea before bed then today I had a tiny streak of blood in my cm. I must admit those promising signs got my hopes up but it's a bfn. Can't pretend I'm not disappointed but I shouldn't have tested early. Going to hold out now until nearer the weekend as AF is due Sunday.

YellowDaffodils86 · 31/07/2018 20:14

@Maydot
@PassTheAfterEights
congratulations!!
Fx for a healthy and happy sticky pregnancy

@KnitKitty hey, i had a bfn yesterday at 18dpo and no af still. No cramps today.
Feel tired, nauseous, boobs sore on and off, waking up early every morning and so many vivid dreams, could mean nothing though.
Interesting fact about no ovulation in heat!

@Cakelaur awww a boy! Cant believe its 20weeks! Hope all goes well x

Kintan · 31/07/2018 20:41

@Cakelaur a boy! How lovely :)
Congrats on all the bfps, so happy for you guys!
Hope everyone has had a good monday and those going through a rough time are finding some peace xx

Lilimum4 · 31/07/2018 20:43

Hello ladies

Congratulations for all the bfp's
Hugs for the bfn and AF your time will come.

Newbie21 · 31/07/2018 20:50

Congratulations to all the BFPs. And congratulations @Cakelaur on expecting a baby boy, sounds like with the consultant leading and the extra scans you are in safe hands and getting good care... the worry never stops but it all helps.

Angelbabyollie · 31/07/2018 21:52

Thanks everyone and congrats to all the bfp's
@Boboelephant I delivered plan c section 38 plus 6 we knew he had Down's syndrome so when he delivered crying half way out I thought it's all going to be ok- 5 hours later to itu rushed to nicu Birmingham and 12 days later gone. Waiting still coroners report but could be hospital error. I went for my 6 week check and dr just talked to us no checks or anything. I thought no point going back as all she would say is takes time- maybe I should go! How was ur holiday? Xx

Jessabean · 31/07/2018 22:02

Congratulations @Maydot! Yay so lovely to see these BFPs.

@PassTheAfterEights that is definitely some line there!! Sure you couldn't be bit further along than you thought? I think I'm due the 9th April. Is 8th April going from LMP date but used OPKs and temping pretty well this month so pretty sure it was a 29 day cycle. I haven't joined any antenatal chats yet. I guess I'm trying to stay a little detached/not wanting to get too exited about it all at the moment to protect myself a little. Got so excited last 2 times and joined the antenatal forums/fb groups & used the pregnancy apps etc and then after the last mmc at the 12 weeks scan just found it so heartbreaking to have to leave it all so want to try and avoid feeling like it again. Would maybe be interested in joining an antenatal group for previous losses though if there is one? Vaguely remember someone posting a link a while ago?

@Cakelaur Congratulations on having a boy 💙 how exciting!!

Jessabean · 31/07/2018 22:05

Also forgot to say

@KnitKitty & @YellowDaffodils86 I'm sorry you're still both in limbo. I hope you can get to know what's going out soon. Are either of you going to test again do you think? Maybe if it keeps on much longer you could ask GP for bloods just for some closure?

PassTheAfterEights · 31/07/2018 22:11

Ahh my lovelies you are all so wonderful, thank you xx
@maydot fantastic - congratulations! - is that four in a week w @jessabean @funkyemzie?! anyone want to start our own grads thread in ante-natal??
@YellowDaffodils86 @laney79 @SunshineSparklesSmiles @bobzybaby @dreaminofholidays thank you and good luck to you all this cycle x
@Boboelephant i was going to pm you too!! we need to keep that rose date on the horizon ;) how are you??
@cakelaur ahhh a little boy cake, fantastic - good on you. 20 weeks, where did that go!!!??? (sure it has felt like months for you!!!)
@knitkitty yeah apparently more common than I thought anyway, such a fucker though - i genuinely just laughed by that point, like i've been obsessed for months and can't get them to stick, then stop trying and forget to even supply an egg. i do have a sneaky based on absolutely no science whatsoever hunch that was all extra squidgey and fertile in there this month as a result though talks crap, nods wisely
@strawberrye it took your message to point out that the line on the right is the control; thought they were the other way round (you'd think after this many months staring at literally hundreds of them......) & was hoping it'd get darker - hope this is baby brain not senility

KnitKitty · 31/07/2018 22:13

Thanks Jessabean Still no sign of AF and don't feel like she's imminent either. Nor do I feel pregnant, so not getting my hopes up. I am going to test again in the morning and if/when it's negative I'm going to assume I've just missed a period this month and try to put it from my mind.
I only have one ovary so it does pretty well to pick up the slack and ovulate every month, but maybe it needed a break? People are mentioning ovulation not happening when it's too hot as well, so possibly that has happened?
I have been wondering if the pains I got Thursday-Saturday were in fact really late ovulation in which case I might get a period in a week or so... If I don't get my period after when another one should have happened I'll go to GP, but I don't think they'd do anything right now.
Very rare to get false positives unless quite far along or high levels of HCG if you're carrying twins for example, and lack of symptoms leads me to believe that is an impossibility.
Just trying to stay chill.

PassTheAfterEights · 31/07/2018 22:22

cross post @jessabean so sorry, nothing worse than an idiot on a bfp high jabbing away about ante natal threads when you're trying to stay calm, I am down off the ceiling. Quite right to take your time.

I didn't even process that test line is on the left til strawberry pointed it out, honestly so confused. I did an OPK just off chance on 19/07 and it was low fertility, forgot the day after, 21/07 got static smiley so DTD a lot that weekend and by my reckoning can only be 10dpo at most? shit scared there are two in there honestly. have never really come to terms with the process of growing and delivering one, just put it on the shelf to deal with at a later date.

also thank you @angelbabyollie, will read back now for context but your story sounds horrific, didn't want to read & run - hope you are OK x

Funkyemzie · 31/07/2018 23:36

@PassTheAfterEights wowzers thats a brilliant line. I did another test today at 16dpo and not sure what to make of it tbh.

Can't believe 4 in a week!

@Cakelaur it's lovely to see your name babe, such good news for a boy, not surprised about not wanting a surprise though.

@Maydot congratulations lovely hope the next 9 month go well.

@Jessabean how u doing today? I'm totally with you on the joining groups especially with the test I did this morning compared to 2 days ago. Still, just taking each day as it comes!

@Dreaminofholidays thank you, hope you're doing ok! Xxx

Laney79 · 01/08/2018 06:58

Morning all. Can I ask yet another q of opk/ovulation gurus?

So doing a mix of ic and clear blue (CB only first thing) - got my first IC positive 2230 Monday eve, CB positive yesterday first thing and it stayed positive on IC at 1330 and 1800 yesterday. CB is negative this am but I suspect wee was too dilute as I'd got up a couple of hours a go.

So if I had positive lh surge for the opks for 24 hours mon eve-tues eve does that mean I'll ovulate today? Or could it have been yesterday during the positive test phase?

We dtd on sat and sun, had a go last night and had fun, but no finale if you get my meaning. May try again this eve but wondering if we'll have missed it? What do you think? X

Cakelaur · 01/08/2018 07:12

Thanks everyone.

@Laney79 I'd say ov is probably today. I generally found the same, I'd get positive cheapie the night before I'd get positive cb. And then I'd get a temp shift the next morning. But I'd give it a go tonight cos you never know! 😉 one for luck and all that!!

SunshineSparklesSmiles · 01/08/2018 07:17

Ladies, not exactly a bfp but I think I might be in with a chance at 11dpo, fingers crossed xx
