implantation bleeds and stuff

You do know me, it's just that I don't feel ready to talk about any pg issues openly yet - this soon after my mc I feel uncharacteristically reticent!

Since my last period we suddenly got broody, after having said we'd wait some time. So we did the tests, worked out my dates and did the deed last Saturday.

Now, I am not sure exactly when my last period started, but I would expect my next one to be 14 days after ovulation - surely whatever the length of your cycle, it is always 14 days after ovulation? So a bit of bleeding (stringy brown bits) yesterday - is that an implantation bleed? Is an implantation bleed usually accompanied by lower back period type pains? Or is all this in my head?

popsycal, OK! Point taken called me scaredbrilliant from now on! What ever came of that situation? My brother is terrible for smoking (not tobacco) in front of my children and it really WINDS ME UP!

DelGirl · 29/08/2004 21:42

Candianmom, you can tell your DH that I wear a camel coat, drink pina colada's in my local and sell dodgy gear at the local market

and post twice

popsycal · 29/08/2004 21:43

canadianmom - we went, it was fine and had a great time!

DelGirl · 29/08/2004 21:44

Nutcracker, I have m/s almost 24/7 at the moment so yes, it's possible.

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:45

Delgirl: DH is ROTFL and responded with a hearty Luvvly-Jubbly!

CP3 · 29/08/2004 21:46

SS did a Nutty then Well my white trousers at the gym worked. Got af, one day late. So back to bd i think. Oh the strain of it all

DelGirl · 29/08/2004 21:47

LOL

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:48

Sorry CP2 Is it better to know? Are you OK?

nutcracker · 29/08/2004 21:48

Oh Charlie so sorry to hear that, how do you feel about it ???

DelGirl · 29/08/2004 21:48

omg sorry CP3, I was lol at Canadianmom DH, not about AF, sorry

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:50

Should be CP3... I am WWWWAY too tired now.

CP3 · 29/08/2004 21:53

No, dont worry honest im fine. I knew yesterday when tested neg as i usually test + early so had already got head round it.

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 22:08

CP3, i know what you mean but AF is no fun even when you are expecting it. The let down is final when it arrives even after a BFN.

CP3 · 29/08/2004 22:11

I know Ss but as Nutty says as least i know now. Would have been worse if weeks late, at least now i can have a good think about wether to give it another go or not.

Dont worry im not leaving this thread till we have Nuttys and your results.

Off to bed now so take care. Night Night

fisil · 30/08/2004 10:02

CP3. It's really cruel having to put up with AF in these circumstances! Next time you go to the gym (like now) just go to the sauna/steam room and treat yourself!

LOL Canadianmom. I like the fact that you posted twice without realising - must be pg.

I am feeling fine. Big boobies and quite tired, but not overwhelming. Nausea has gone and still have back pains, so am feeling a little nervous. I will try and get a scan on Wednesday. Have my GP appointment tomorrow.

CP3 · 30/08/2004 10:21

And the jacuzzi and spa pool!!!!

On the good side it means i can have a few drinks at chrismas if i dont fall by then. I think we will be careful and try again then, so it gives us a bit of breathing space and a slightly bigger gap between children 3 & 4 as the 15month gap between 2 & 3 was hard work.

Glad your all well fisil, how many weeks does that make you now?

CP3 · 30/08/2004 10:28

But then again i may change my mind and just go for it, what the hell!!! I love babies

Canadianmom · 30/08/2004 15:12

Thanks fisil! At least I was planning on revealing myself tomorrow... I just wish that I wasn't so affraid of the idea of being pregnant. I really would love another baby but can I skip to the baby being born part?
CP3 You have a lovely positive outlook! I am so impressed! I hope that you do try again soon. How old is your youngest now?
Nutcracker, Any news from AF? Still feeling sick?
My legs are throbbing today. I have never had this particular feeling but then who is to say that I would normally pay any attention to it? Being paranoid is very tiring work indeed!

CP3 · 30/08/2004 15:54

Very good statement about being paranoid SS(easier than your real name. All those signs i had, suposedly, especially the sense of smell one really threw me. When i retched at the febreze i was posotive i was pregnant. Plus not getting bloated or spotty like i usually do before af.

My youngest ds is 11 months, DD is 2.3 and other DD is 16. How old are your again SS.

Come on Nutcracker, i have butterflies for you honey, stop keepingus on tender hooks. By the way meant to e mail you as on Sunday i couldnt stop weeing so i am no longer using that one as a pregnancy sign. It is now an af sign, for me anyway

nutcracker · 30/08/2004 16:08

Hello all.

Another day and still no AF. Feeling rather fed up now, just want to know one way or another.
Spent a very sleepless night thinking that as soon as I fell asleep af would arrive but nothing, not even any backache today.
Oh and i felt very sick earlier on but that may have been the bacon and egg snadwich i ate to quickly.
Mind you still am feeling pretty yucky so i just don't know.

Me and dp have just had our usual bank holiday argument cos he didn't finnish stripping ds's room

Oh i'm fed up fed up fed up

fisil · 30/08/2004 19:58

Canadianmom - I was really scared of being pg. I cried when I told dp that I thought I needed to do a test. As soon as I got the positive I felt much more, well, positive! I still feel scared, but hopefulness usually outweighs it.
