implantation bleeds and stuff

You do know me, it's just that I don't feel ready to talk about any pg issues openly yet - this soon after my mc I feel uncharacteristically reticent!

Since my last period we suddenly got broody, after having said we'd wait some time. So we did the tests, worked out my dates and did the deed last Saturday.

Now, I am not sure exactly when my last period started, but I would expect my next one to be 14 days after ovulation - surely whatever the length of your cycle, it is always 14 days after ovulation? So a bit of bleeding (stringy brown bits) yesterday - is that an implantation bleed? Is an implantation bleed usually accompanied by lower back period type pains? Or is all this in my head?

Oh sorry to hear you are feeling down Charlie.
I am not too bad, had a bit of a wooble when my friend called to say her sister had just had a little girl called Libby (one of my fave girls names).

I'm quite luck i suppose in that I have college to concentrate on aswell, so I haven't had that much time to think about it really.

CP3 White trousers are usually a guaranteed visit from AF. I am still hoping that you have messed up the dates and will not have AF for at least another year! Sorry that you are feeling blue.
I am also feeling sad and mooody so am wondering if it is PMT?
Nutcracker, Sorry about the BFN. How are you feeling? Any sign of AF? Is is possible that you have tested too early?
Fisil, You started the thread and are so far the only one with a BFP. Any words of wisdom? How are you feeling today.

nutcracker · 29/08/2004 19:43

O.k I am dissapointed, more than i expected to be actually

Scaredstupid · 29/08/2004 20:42

Nutcracker, DS2 is the result of an early false negative... Could you have tested too early? I am sorry that you are disappointed. I can imagine how you must be feeling. It is odd how your mind works when you think that you might be pg. Now I am nervous about Tuesday...

popsycal · 29/08/2004 20:44

baby number 2 is the result of 3 false negatives......

nutcracker · 29/08/2004 20:46

Hi SS. I think it's really doubtfull that i'm pregnant tbh, as i now have no symptoms at all.

I was really nervous that i might be pregnant but i know that if i was it would have all worked out fine.
It's just horrible to think i may never have any more kids. Sounds quite selfish when i have 3 already but i'm just not sure i'm ready to give it all up just yet iykwim.

Am wishing you loads of luck for Tuesday, how are you feeling ??

nutcracker · 29/08/2004 20:49

Blimey, it is possible then.

I think it's just that I usually get a posotive early on. I do have to wee alot at the mo but can't remember if that usually happens when AF is due anyway.

Oh does anyone know wether you can take Codydromol when pregnant ??? I have already taken them as I thought af had arrived but am a bit worried incase there is the faint chance i am pregnant.

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 20:54

I am feeling exhausted but I was up far too late and had a long/kind of sad day...I still have very sore boobs (never had that before AF) and mild cramps (also only usually happens on day 1). Who knows? The mind games are a rare form of torture really.
I hope that you either get AF or some obvious symptoms soon. If you do get AF do you think that you might really try for a fourth?

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 20:57

Meant to answer that the cocodymol must be relatively safe as I took it with DS1 before I knew that implantation could be as painful as menstrual cramps and he turned out OK... I think that the advice is generally to avoid all medication but the number of sins committed before people know that they are pg are astounding! In your position I would hold off on taking more as the guilt and ensuing worry would likely do more harm than the meds themselves (if you know what I mean)!

nutcracker · 29/08/2004 20:58

I think you've done a Nutty

nutcracker · 29/08/2004 20:59

Or have I made a mistake.

Are you SS canadianmom ??

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:01

OH MY! look what I did! Guess I have blown my cover... Could it be pregnancy brain or just mommy-brain. Tuesday should bring the answer...

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:02

I did use STUPID in my new i.d.!

nutcracker · 29/08/2004 21:04

Hehe Don't worry i'll keep your secret , don't know about the other thousands that use MN

It has to be your pregnancy brain IMO.

Oh am feeling in a quandry now, do I have another go or not ???

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:10

I would wait a couple of days. Only because if AF has not arrived then you will want to know why. Does that even make sense? Can I write a coherant sentence here? What I am trying to say is that if AF does not arrive within the next couple of days then wee on the stick.

DelGirl · 29/08/2004 21:11

Ooh, keeping my fingers crossed for you Canadianmom and for you Nutcracker

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:12

Oh, and thanks for being willing to keep our little secret! Do you think that anyone else will notice MUCH? Well now I actually hope to have a BFP so that I have not humiliated myself for no reason.
