implantation bleeds and stuff

You do know me, it's just that I don't feel ready to talk about any pg issues openly yet - this soon after my mc I feel uncharacteristically reticent!

Since my last period we suddenly got broody, after having said we'd wait some time. So we did the tests, worked out my dates and did the deed last Saturday.

Now, I am not sure exactly when my last period started, but I would expect my next one to be 14 days after ovulation - surely whatever the length of your cycle, it is always 14 days after ovulation? So a bit of bleeding (stringy brown bits) yesterday - is that an implantation bleed? Is an implantation bleed usually accompanied by lower back period type pains? Or is all this in my head?

CP3 · 26/08/2004 13:02

Double bugger, did one anyway and is negative so i dont think dp quite hit the spot this month

popsycal · 26/08/2004 13:06

but you are not a day late yet:)

Scaredstupid · 26/08/2004 13:17

CP3 Bugger is right! I was sure that it would be + when you did the test. (You did however plan to test on Saturday).
Sorry that you are feeling unwell. I hope you pick up soon and that all goes well at the doctors this afternoon.
Nutcracker, how are you this afternoon. Did you manage to get any sleep? Were you up to wee?
Fisil, how are you feeling? Any sickness?

CP3 · 26/08/2004 13:59

I knew it was too early ss but i did want to see a +. Im now convinced i am not pregnant. Im still enjoying my tea any way so cant be . How are you feeling?

nutcracker · 26/08/2004 16:39

Hi all.

My testes came this morning, and i'm sorry but i couldn't resist. It was negative though. I won't actually be late until sunday though.
I am going to test on saturday and monday, but I usualy get a positive result pretty early so am almost convinced I'm not pregnant now.

Charlie - Our symptoms are so alike. I have sore boobs and pains in my sides too, spooky.
Hope you feel better soon, was worried about you yesterday.

Scared Stupid - We were thinking of TTc and then just got carried away and here we are now. I have decided though that if i'm not pregnant then we aren't going to try again.
My consultant with Ds was a witch, she kept speaking to me like a child and kept changing the date of the section, and basically just p***d me off alot. I was quite emotional anyway with all the probs I was having and she just tipped me over the edge.
I did eventually stand up to her though, and told her that I didn't really want to hear her opinion I just wanted her to do her job. She was stunned and I felt tonnes better

Fisil - Spooky dream, let me know if you have anymore.

Today I am knackerd still, but slept very well so confused. I still feel a bit dizzy and queasy too. Can't wait for saturday now.

nutcracker · 26/08/2004 16:40

OMG I meant tests not Testes

CP3 · 26/08/2004 16:53

Its bloody testes that got you in this situation in the first place Nutty

I am almost 80% posotive that i am not pregant now, feel a bit defalted after the neg test, which is daft cos im not even late yet. One of us must be though, so its down to the reat of you!!!

nutcracker · 26/08/2004 16:59

PMSL Charlie

I'm pretty convinced it's not me either so it must be SS

fisil · 26/08/2004 17:04

Oh CP3, nutty & SS, I am so scared for you all. The early negative tests mean nothing - just keep waiting for Saturday/Tuesday.

Nutty, you really are naughty. I knew you would test as soon as they arrived! My dream was obviously a few days out ... I also dreamed that I received my GCSE results and as I looked down the list loads of kids got A, B or C (very unusual at my school) and that one kid in particular got a C, which made me cry because it was such an achievement for him. Well, I went in to collect results this morning, and we got the highest results ever, way higher than our target, and the kid I dreamt about did get a C, and I did cry! So if that came true ...

Scaredstupid - I am fine but feeling so reasuringly pg - which is a relief, with my mc I just had to sleep the whole time, and when I wasn't asleep I was crying because I wanted to be asleep! This time I have m/s, tingly boobies (already growing, too), a pleasing degree of tiredness, slight difficulty sleeping, and a propencity to cry when students get brilliant exam results!

CP3 · 26/08/2004 17:07

Oh bless Fisil. My DD got her reults today too and were alot better than expected, no grade lower than a D so she can do the college course she wants. I got quite welled up when i saw the other kids crying.

Glad yor feeling really PG, hope it all goes well for you, i will follow your progress on Mn.

MommyD · 26/08/2004 17:08

Hi all.... AF arrived today rather late, painful and heavy. I had got my hopes up rather a lot that I might be pregnant. It's very strange - I had 'symptoms' that I don't normally have before AF. I felt very nauseous for a whole week, was hot and clammy at night (both like my last pregnancies) I kept getting twingey pains and went off certain smells. I am NOT pregnant however. The only thing that I didn't have was that heavy, strange, 'I'm pregnant' feeling in my boobs.
Just shows, as I have had these symptoms this month (and haven't had them before) I won't have a clue when I really do get pregnant again.
Good luck all! x x

fisil · 26/08/2004 17:13

Will you keep on trying?

CP3 · 26/08/2004 17:15

Sorry Mommyd, do you think youll try again??

nutcracker · 26/08/2004 17:20

Sorry to hear that MommyD

MommyD · 26/08/2004 17:35

Oh yes.... we weren't actually trying to get pregnant this month and were going to leave it until our youngest is a bit older. However, I was really getting used to the idea of being pregnant again and having another one. I think I will talk about it with dh over a bottle of wine tonight....
I will hang around this thread a bit longer - I am sure some of you will strike it lucky! I might have stacked the odds in your favour.... after all, WE CAN'T ALL BE WRONG CAN WE?

Scaredstupid · 26/08/2004 18:21

Oh no! Nutcracker! You also gave in and tested? I was sure that you were more reliable than that. I am sorry that it was a BFN. Are you crushed? I would be/will be on Tuesday.
Not sure what I want now... Argh. If nutcracker, CP3 and MommyD are not expecting with all the listed symptoms perhaps I shouldn't even worry about it anymore. If you all aren't and I am I will know that there is no justice.
Am still feeling crampy and have sore boobs which realy never happens to me with PMT so I am confused.
Fisil I am so happy for you! I will continue to follow your story as well. 5 more sleeps until I have answers to some interesting questions...

fisil · 27/08/2004 08:17

what interesting questions, scaredstupid? I am intrigued.

That's 5 more sleeps for you - 10 more sleeps for me (I'd forgotten what a tiring business pg can be!)

MommyD · 27/08/2004 09:20

Morning MNetters! Hope you are all feeling lousy this morning and that AF hasn't arrived before breakfast - IYSWIM????
Talked about baby #3 with dh last night and we have decided to start trying in October! Yippee. Gives me some time to get used to the idea, take folic acid and all that. My youngest will be 13 months when we start trying....
I am getting excited at the prospect of completing our family... Three is enough for me (unless of course we strike it lucky with twins!)

fisil · 27/08/2004 09:31

Good news, and good luck!

MommyD · 27/08/2004 09:47

Thanks fisil - it took us 6 months to conceive #1 and 1 month to conceive #2, so if I am VERY lucky I will be pg before Christmas which would be fab. Can't imagime a Christmas with alcohol - the last 3 I have either been pg or bf!

Scaredstupid · 27/08/2004 10:13

fisil: Sorry for making it sound so intriguing; I was not trying to be mysterious. I intend to test on Tuesday morning because I have a follow up appt at the hospital to find out the results of all the tests taken following my (third) miscarriage. I would hold off on the test but I would feel a bit silly asking paranoid questions about 'a possible pregnancy'. Make sense?
MommyD that is great news! I will sprinkle baby dust for you in October.
Nutcracker and CP3 are you out there? Any news? Any new symptoms?
Oops! I nearly posted with my 'real name' again. I must have pg brain...

MommyD · 27/08/2004 10:28

scaredstupid - your af was due yesterday, wasn't it. How are you feeling?

Scaredstupid · 27/08/2004 10:36

Uncertain... I could be pg or expecting AF. I have sore boobs and mild cramps and dh is very good at reminding me that this only happens when I am pg and in denial. I usually only get cramps on day 1 but everything is different following a miscarriage so who knows? I will test on Tuesday if AF has not made an appearance.

fisil · 27/08/2004 10:39

Fingers crossed, scaredstupid! In my experience DP's are generally fairly good at diagnosing pg! After my mc my periods came back totally text book - have yours been less reliable?
