Sorry to hear that Cookie. Little, it always take ages for AF to come back after an "event" for me. Took 18 months after I came off the pill, 18 months after I had dd. I waited 4 months after my tfmr and then decided I couldn't wait any longer and went on provera (synthetic progesterone) to induce a withdrawal bleed before going on clomid to induce ovulation. That all worked well and I got pregnant in 5 cycles. I miscarried 2 months ago and, surprise surprise, no AF. Difference this time is, though, that the provera didn't work, so I can't start the clomid. I took it much earlier this time so maybe my lining hasn't built up enough. To date they can't come up with a reason why it takes me to get back to normal. It's not PCOS and all bloods normal, so not early onset menopause (at least not to date). Hopefully find out next steps on Wednesday.

shinyblackdog are there vitamins you can take? I'm sure on here I've read about some that can help period regulation but can't for the life of e remember.. or can diet help?
Oh CookieWaffle.. so sorry hope you get some good advice and a receptive dr on Tuesday.. x

Karigan198 · 16/06/2018 09:40

Well it’s more than just spotting this morning so it’s looking fairly conclusive however it’s not been enough to say for certain. Inbetween the two. Phoned for advice again and still wait and see 🙄.

CritterTamer · 16/06/2018 10:27

Morning all

@Karigan - oh no I hope you’re ok - remember that lots of women bleed in early pregnancy so it doesn’t necessarily mean the worst outcome - fingers crossed for you xxx

@Cookiewaffle - sorry that AF got you 😔 my dr was happy to do tests immediately once i told him I was 40 so hopefully yours will too.

@Shinyblackdog - that sounds awful - so strange that there’s no apparent reason for it. I hope things get back to normal for you soon!

As for me all 6 eggs fertilised overnight so feeling very happy (and very sore!) this morning. I have a long wait now until transfer day on Wednesday to see if any make it! 🤞

shinyblackdog · 16/06/2018 11:33

Cleo, it's vitex. I took it for three months one of the times - nada. B6 also but been taking that since April. Nothing.

Critter - all six? Brilliant!

Karigan - hopefully they'll be able to get you in for a scan on Monday.

BooseysMom · 16/06/2018 12:41

Blimey so much happens in 2 days i don't get on here!
Good luck Critter... It all sounds extremely promising x
Karigan ... I had bleeding in early pregnancy. I didn't realise i was preg for 3 months as the bleeding was almost but not quite like a proper AF. I was convinced it was the peri men getting me! Thinking of you and sending lots of baby dust your way .. you too Critter! Xx
Welcome new ladies. ..want to write more but am time constricted again!
Have a good weekend all x

littlemimosa · 16/06/2018 16:17

Critter! What a great fertilisation rate!! 6 out of 6:) Prayers are going into them developing until Wed now.

littlemimosa · 16/06/2018 16:22

Shiny that must be so frustrating for you. I’ve no advice I’m afraid.

Karigan thinking of you. Praying it turns out ok for you.

Cookie so sorry about AF. My doctor was great about getting tests done. I’ve had bloods, scan, sperm analysis and a HSG. All were fine, which is great but still not pregnant.

weasledee · 16/06/2018 17:05

Great news critter!!

CritterTamer · 16/06/2018 18:38

@Littlemimosa I know 100% was totally unexpected - really pleased. I know it’s not likely that many/any will make it to 5 day blastocyst stage but it’s a good start! I know one lady much younger who had EC yesterday too - got 10 eggs but only 3 fertilised so it definitely gives me hope that the age factor isn’t the be all and end all.

It’s going to be a long 4 days!

mellongoose · 16/06/2018 19:58

Thanks for the welcomes, everybody.

@Karigan198 I have my fingers crossed for for you. I don't want to give you false hope, but I often see posts on MN about bleeding in early pregnancy. It usually turns out ok unless the bleeding just gets heavier and heavier. Hoping it all turns out ok for you.

@CritterTamer very excited about your 6 super eggs. What happens if they all fertilise??

Am currently waiting for af to end so I can begin again. Am taking vitamin B complex and a magnesium & zinc. I have no idea if this is effective but it helped me out of my PND funk and back to normal. Running 3 times a week. Diet is ok (home cooked) but could be better, I guess. A couple of glasses of red a week.

Hmmm writing all that down has made me think 4/10 for effort. Could do better!!

Alibaba2 · 16/06/2018 22:05

Mimosa, I’ve probably asked you this before, but do you feel your follicular phase has changed over the last few years? Or were you always an early ov’er? Has it changed recently, becoming later?

Karigan198 · 16/06/2018 22:40

Definitely out. It’s very heavy now.

That’s excellent news Critter. Hoping it keeps going so well

CritterTamer · 16/06/2018 22:51

I’m so sorry @Karigan198. Take care of yourself xxx

CritterTamer · 16/06/2018 22:55

@Mellongoose - welcome! To answer your question, all 6 did fertilise. Now we wait and see how they develop - most don’t generally make it past the 3 day stage, even for younger women so it’s really a lottery. If one or two make it to the five day blastocyst stage they have a decent chance of being viable and will be transferred. If there happen to be any spare good quality embryos they get frozen. Once transferred it’s a waiting game to see if they implant or not.

Chatbash72 · 16/06/2018 23:09

Ohhhh Karigan198 I'm so sorry... take care of yourself 💕

mellongoose · 16/06/2018 23:13

So sorry @Karigan198. Sending you energy. Please be gentle with yourself.

@CritterTamer fingers crossed during your wait.

Orchid222 · 16/06/2018 23:43

Karigan- so sorry to hear that. Sending you a big hug. Take care of yourself xx

Thanks ladies, hopefully they'll be helpful on Tuesday. Sorry if I miss things on here, it's a very popular thread it seems!

Alibaba2 · 17/06/2018 08:21

Sorry Karigan x

Karigan198 · 17/06/2018 08:22

It’s ok. Well it’s not but you know what I mean. Because this one was weird from the beginning I didn’t really get my hopes up.

Cleozeta · 17/06/2018 08:38

Sorry to hear that karrigan. Hope you are ok, take it easy.

Critter fingers crossed for you

shinyblackdog · 17/06/2018 09:32

Karigan, I'm so sorry. I know you were hoping for the best/expecting the worst but, like you say, it's still horrible when it happens.

weasledee · 17/06/2018 09:45

Sorry karigan like others have said, you prepare for the worse but hope for the best but still when it's over it still hurts :(
