Thanks all for the good luck messages 😊 I’ll let you know how it goes later!

Karigan - hope you’re doing ok this morning and are able to have a nice easy day today t9 look after yourself - like Orchid said, spotting isn’t necessarily a bad sign.

Littlemimosa - sorry you’re feeling down. Weirdly oestrogen seems to be the one thing they don’t test for as standard - I’ve had so many tests But not that either. May be worth asking your doctor for it if you’re worried?

Cleozeta · 15/06/2018 09:23

Good luck critter!

Chat - interesting about the chemical thing. I don't wear nailvarnish (can't be arsed) but what other things do you think could be a problem? It's not something I'd really thought about before.
Faith - let us know how you get on with the ovusense monitor, I have been considering one of those as normal temping is such a faff and often inaccuarate if done even slightly wrong and its not always easy getting the perfect conditions.
Mimosa - I had a few episodes like that last year. I think our hormones fluctuate when we get older. I always knew if I was going to have an iffy cycle as I felt quite off from the beggining, grumpy and tired and other weird sypmtoms, then I would feel normal again as soon as af had happened. On those cycles ov would often be delayed up to about cd20 or so. Then other months after would be fine again. It is stressful though esp when each cycle really counts. Hopefully ov will happen soon for you and you'll be back to normal.
J

Cleozeta · 15/06/2018 09:31

Sorry posted to early
You could try foods like edemame beansand tofu which are high in oestrogen. You could even try a soy isolfavones cycle to help balance things out. How is your progesterone? If things are slightly out of balance it will show up in that too (shoter LP)

Karigan - how is your spotting today? Fingers crossed its nothing. To be honest, from spending a lot of time reading the pregnancy board a few months ago, it's very common and can go either way. It's just as likely to be absolutely nothing, so try not to stress (easier said that done) in my case it was the end, but in so many it isn't (jojo had bleeding and was absolutely fine)

Karigan198 · 15/06/2018 09:46

Good luck critter.

Still spotting this morning. Just really waiting to see what happens. Hopefully it’ll stop.

Hi Girls,

I'd love to join the group Smile. I am 41 and TTC #1. I got pregnant naturally on cycle 3 in March this year but unfortunately had a mc at 7 weeks in May :( I had a period at the start of June so delighted that my cycle is back to normal now and we can start to try again.

Hi to you all x

mellongoose · 15/06/2018 14:37

Can I join with Emma as a fellow newbie?

I'm 42 (just!!), DD is 3 and a half. We were adamant we were only having one, but when she turned 1 my ovaries took over my mind and we've been semi trying ever since, so about 2 years. However DH was not completely on board so it was more stopping being too careful. Now he is, which is ace!

DD is my only pregnancy to my knowledge and it only took about 3 months of the above half arsed effort. Foolishly I assumed it would be that easy again. It's really not!! AF started yesterday so I'm on CD2 but have no idea when I ovulate other than guess work.

I've been reading your posts for a while now and your bravery and kindness for each other is really amazing.

mellongoose · 15/06/2018 14:38

Ps sorry for your loss, Emma.

EmmaBx · 15/06/2018 14:57

Nice to meet you Mellongoose! And thank you for your kind comment x

Orchid222 · 15/06/2018 15:16

Welcome Emma and Mellongoose!
Emma- I'm sorry about your loss, I'm currently going through a mc and it's not nice. Just hoping to be back in the ttc asap.
Mellongoose- you're not the only one who thought it'd be just as easy and quick as before, I'm guilty of that too! It took me a full year to get pg thus time only to find out it's non viable.
Shiny- our list will need to be updated Smile

EmmaBx · 15/06/2018 15:43

Thanks Orchid!

Am so sorry to hear you’re going through a mc at the moment, it’s such a tough time :( But hopefully you’ll start to feel better once you come out the other side. I know I felt much better once the hormones abated. My HcG levels never rose sufficiently when I was pregnant and we spent the last few weeks of the pregnancy tracking the levels with blood tests every few days which was very stressful. It’s such a rollercoaster! Hope your cycle come back to normal soon x

Chatbash72 · 15/06/2018 16:13

At my end AF finished so back in the TTC bandwagon once again! Not a clue when ovulation takes place anymore sonstarting early and just going to try and dtd when can! You never know ! Have a good weekend everyone xx

Cleozeta · 15/06/2018 16:54

Welcome emma and mellongoose!
Sorry for your loss emma, I also had a mc in May at 10 weeks. It's gutting. Just in the middle of my first af now so ready to start a new cycle.

Mellongoose, I also thought it would be easy as my 1st 2 were when I was 33 and 35, but this last pregnancy took a year and resulted in mmc.

We are all for trying any solutions to help things along on here, supliments, chinese medine etc, we've tried the lot! Any questions you have we probably have answers or experience between us all.

Critter, great news on the eggs, fingers crossed for you!!

Karigan hope you are ok today

Hello Emma and Mellon, welcome - you're in the right place! My story is pretty much a combo of both of yours, one dd pretty easily conceived followed by two unsuccessful pregnancies. Only difference between me and almost everyone else in the huddle (there was a lovely penguin analogy a while back) is that everyone else gets periods. I'm fed with this no-period-nonsense. Getting blood test results on Tuesday and a scan on Wednesday to see WTF is going on in there.

Critter - six out of eight sounds great, hope you've had a relaxing day.

Karigan - are you OK?

littlemimosa · 16/06/2018 00:01

Welcome Emma. So sorry for your loss. I hope you find support and encouragement here.
Welcome Mellon too.

Critter great news! 6 lovely juicy eggs hurrah. Let’s pray they are fertilising somewhere in a lab right now as we all sleep.

Cleo thanks for the encouragement. It helps to know you have had similar and now things are normal again. So yes I’ve recently started eating more beans. I’ve been leaning towards a more paleo diet (low carb, no processed food) the last couple of years but I’m now making an effort to eat more good carbs and legumes. I’m also trying to eat more calories as I’ve read that oestrogen stores in fat cells.
My progesterone was good on my day 21 bloods. 52 I think. My LP is always 14-16 days so I’m assuming that is fine. Things always seem to go wrong in My follicular phase. Either I ovulate super early or lately super late. Sigh. Deep sigh.

littlemimosa · 16/06/2018 00:02

Shiny sporting you’re repeating yourself but how long have you had no periods for?

littlemimosa · 16/06/2018 00:02
  • sorry if
CookieWaffle · 16/06/2018 06:48

Well that's me out this month. I had 4 days of weird brown/pink spotting but then temp dropped and AF started properly this morning. Going to get myself checked out on Tues, especially with my age and family history against me. Hopefully they'll let me get some tests done and not tell me to wait a few months!
