Critter that all sounds really interesting, I'm tempted to try it too!
Goo luck, I really hope it works for you

Chat - don't worry I won't be going to the baby shower, sounds crap anyway!!! And just not in a place for it right now

Cleozeta · 13/06/2018 17:28

Orchid, I still can't look at pregnant people a month after mc, I hope it gets easier!
I think I'm finding it harder today as af is here at if feels like I'm going through it all over again.

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 17:48

I would definitely not be able to face a baby shower, and that’s not even considering I’ve never had a mc so I can’t imagine how you would be able to face that!

Re. Vits - has any one tried Fertilaid? It seems to be very popular in America but it’s harder to get here but you can get it on eBay. I used to use it earlier this year and honestly never felt so healthy. I tried proceive max for a while but the pint of disgusting powdery drink every morning was starting to make me heave so gone back to the Fertilaid now. It’s 600 dose of B6 daily rather than pregnacare 400. I also take Ubiquinol now after learning about it on this group 😊

CookieWaffle · 13/06/2018 17:52

Ooh good luck Critter, that sounds hopeful.

I think I'm definitely out this month, had a bit of a meltdown yesterday but I keep trying to remind myself that we've still not been trying that long. I just have too many friends who had little 'one night accidents'!

Orchid222 · 13/06/2018 18:04

I keep bumping into one of the mums at ds's nursery who was due last Friday. So I'm bumping into her every day and in a few days I'll be bumping into her with a newborn which will probably be even harder to take 😢
Never heard of Fertilaid but will definitely look into it!

Quick question, guys. Is anybody taking maca and found that it made their periods extremely heavy? I'm currently having the heaviest period ive had in my life Sad and I'm wondering if it's due to the fact that I've been taking maca (along with a gazillion other supplements). I've googled it and a few women have said it made their periods really heavy.

Dickybow321 · 13/06/2018 19:02

Or maybe it's nothing to do with the maca and I'm having a very early MC Sad. I'm literally flooding through a moon cup and night time pad every 45 minutes. I've changed clothes four times today

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 19:07

Wow @Dickybow321 - that sounds unpleasant! No idea about the Maca though sorry never taken it.

It’s official - I need to take my trigger shot tonight for egg collection on Friday morning! No more nasty injections for a while after this one and sedation on Friday - yay 😁

Orchid222 · 13/06/2018 19:29

Wow Critter less than 2 days to go- good luck!
Sorry Dickybow I've never taken made but it sounds extreme. Was your period late? Do you have any clots? I'm guessing with an early mc you might have some as opposed to just having a heavy period.

littlemimosa · 13/06/2018 19:58

Critter - how exciting!! Great news on the follicles so my fingers are tightly crossed for you x

Dickie - I started on Maca about 3 weeks ago (I’m not taking tablets though, I have the powder so I just stir half a teaspoon into my yoghurt or porridge everyday). I’ve only had one period since then and it was light for me so sorry can’t hekp you there.

Cleo - baby showers are so American along with these high school graduation things they all go to these days complete with ball gowns and tuxedos. Yuck. Don’t go. Look after number one.

Orchid - thinking of you. Hope you’re getting some tlc.

littlemimosa · 13/06/2018 20:02

Oh and re supplements here’s mine:
Breakfast: Vitex and CoQ10.
Lunch: pre-natal vit/minerals, Cod liver oil+Omega 3, & EPO up to ovulation.
Dinner:vitamin C+zinc
Bedtime: probiotics, magnesium spray on skin (=to 200mg).
Also use Maca now and Goji powders in food.
Shock

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 20:10

Thank you @Littlemimosa 😊 your vitamin regime sounds amazing - you’re so disciplined! I just take a Fertilaid pill with breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Ubiquinol morning and night.

Cleozeta · 13/06/2018 20:13

Never taken maca so can't comment on that, although 'flooding' can happen to us over 40's unfortunately, it's one of the many unfortunate things that can change. I had a few like that last year, much heavier than when I mc. Alternatively, it could also be early mc. Are you late?

I won't be going to the babyshower. I don't think they would appreciate the meltdown that it may trigger!

What is fertilaid? Not heard of that one.
Wow all go for Friday, how exciting critter - good luck!!

Cleozeta · 13/06/2018 20:17

Mimosa I bet you have one of those oap pill organisers!!
How do you find vitex? I have some but not started it yet. Thinking about doing B complex and progesterone cream this cycle so not sure it would mix?

How much ubiquinol does everyone take? I was on 100 but after mc have upped to 200 as clearly need the help with egg quality

shinyblackdog · 13/06/2018 20:38

I don't go to baby showers, they sound cringey and somehow tempting fate. I always give a present but not until the baby is out.

Orchid222 · 13/06/2018 20:39

Thank you Mimosa, I think today was the hardest day in terms of bleeding so hopefully physically it'll be getting easier from now on. Emotionally not there yet (broke down tonight and cried on dh's shoulder) but hoping to get better soon and be ready when ov comes.
Your vitamin regimen is incredible! I really need to up my game, will stock up on more stuff tomorrow. Purchased opks and pregnancy tests today so ready to go in that sense.
Cleo I think I bought the strongest ubiquinol on Amazon a while back, 300mg so that's what I had been taking before bfp and just started back on it today.

Hi ladies, just to update re our scan yesterday. All was well, and we're expecting a girl SmileI wasn't sure if it was appropriate to post, as I know some of you are feeling a bit fed up with ttc at the mo. But it might just help spread some hope from another over 40 who took a relatively long time to to conceive!

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 20:44

@Cleozeta - i did some research on unbiquinol and what I found said that the evidence for improved egg quality was that it happened at a dose of 600 per day. I take a 300 pill twice per day.

@Shinyblackdog - awesome list - really good job 😊

I’m currently crapping myself about doing the trigger shot later - so scared I’m going to mess it up and only have the one lol. It’s due at 10.30 😳

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 20:48

@Sparklyglitterball - congrats! So happy for you xxx

@Orchid - you’re such an inspiration - I can’t believe how strong and positive you are being whilst going through this. I’m sure I will descend into a pit of despair if/when this IVF cycle fails! I will be thinking of your bravery to keep me going 😊

weasledee · 13/06/2018 21:08

Critter I'm so excited for you, Friday is so close!!

Baby showers are weird, it's like "I'm having a party, bring me a present?!?!?" I never had one for my DC and like someone else posted, it's really tempting fate....

Congratulations sparkly fantastic news that gives us all hope! x

littlemimosa · 13/06/2018 21:11

Sparkly congrat!! Such great news. I don’t mind you posting it gives me hope.

Cleo - I actually don’t have an oap pill organiser but I could do with one lol.

Interesting talk about ubiquinol. I think I’ll get some 300 pills next jar.

Critter - be brave, take a deep breath and just do it. It could be the start of your future child’s journey to you:-)

Orchid - grieve as much as you need to. We’re all here for you.

Chatbash72 · 13/06/2018 21:14

big big hugs Orchid222 💕💕

shinyblackdog · 13/06/2018 21:15

Sparkly, massive congrats - is this your first? (Don't worry, I'm not going post another list!).

Orchid, agree with Critter, you're inspirational.

Thanks Critter, I'm sure your trigger will be fine, you've had loads of practice the last couple of weeks. Follicles sound great.

I just take multivit, 100mg B6, 100mg ubiquinol and folic acid - probably doesn't even touch the sides.

weasledee · 13/06/2018 21:43

Oh chatbash I can beat that one! Someone at work signed the Christmas cards with said babies name 3 months before due date!!!!! Infuriated me!
