Faith- I agree the thread is super busy, we only started it less than a month ago and we're already on page 28 out of 40, we'll be moving on to a new one before we know it!

@booseysmom thanks, knowing that you had a great result after what seemed could be peri-menopausal symptoms fills me with the hope I am clinging to your thread and great result with your DS!

@littlemimosa I'm in sounds like a great book!

@chatbash72 that is good to hear!

fingers crossed for all and hoping @critter is feeling better xx

CritterTamer · 06/07/2018 23:44

Good luck Weasle and Letsdothis with your test results this weekend 🤞

I’m still in shock that bees can live in holes in the ground.....

Letsdothis42 · 06/07/2018 23:50

@orchid thanks I really am clingy to booseys description and her ultimate BFP! hope you're well xx

Letsdothis42 · 07/07/2018 00:19

Thanks @critter, yeah I didn't realise bees could live in the ground either, hope you didn't get stung too badly Shock

littlemimosa · 07/07/2018 07:13

Letsdothis- send me a private message with your address and I’ll post to you this week. I’ve read it nearly in three sittings. It’s very compelling.

Orchid - glad you found it. That’s how I got it on Amazon dead cheap secondhand.

Cleozeta · 07/07/2018 07:37

Ooh that book sounds interesting, I'll have a look on ebay.
Critter I hope you have a better day today

BooseysMom · 07/07/2018 10:04

Morning ladies..another hot sunny day ..it's like being in the Med every day atm! 😎
Mimosa..i've read that book and it really is an emotional roller coaster. It was made into a film
too i think.
Lets. .. Yes it was an incredible experience! We had had 2 mc's previously and honestly had not a clue i could be preg as when we dtd i was utterly convinced it wasn't ovulating! ! I never bothered with tests and had even given up taking folic as in my mind it just wasn't gonna happen. We were lucky that i had a very low risk abnormality blood test result. I'm back on the folic now though.
Blowing baby dust your way! xx

weasledee · 07/07/2018 11:36

Ladies the frer arrived and it's a big fat negative!!!! Fed up after that super strong ovulation stick.....
One more month?????

SparrowSG · 07/07/2018 12:19

Sorry to be the 'bringer of doom and gloom!' with my crap stats... despite my rather negative post I for one will be continuing to ttc until there are no eggs left in the basket Smile

My IVF Dr suggested I start taking something called OVAMAX, (which is made in the States from what I see online), then return for another round of IVF in 2/3 months. Only problem is I have a real issue swallowing big tablets or even capsules, so no idea how I'm going to overcome that if they arrive and I can't take them... might also take the DHEA I have sitting in the cupboard, still undecided on this.
In the meantime I'll go back to temping and OPKs and keeping my fingers crossed.

For those who asked about my IVF, the first round I had 11 follicles total, ten big enough on EC day, eight eggs, seven fertilised and only three made it to day five and were 'average' quality, however after having all three transferred I ended up with DS. This time around, just over two years later, two follicles (there were another three but were too small to be counted), two eggs, both fertilised and both 'good' quality and put back after day three. However, must not have been good genetically as BFN. Dr said everything else was good, uterus/lining etc, so purely down to genetics of egg.
My AMH is now 2.5, which is about half what it was two years ago too.

Critter, hope the bee stings and your day is a better one today. And I also think your should make a complaint about the Dr you saw, what a complete cockwomble. Someone with that attitude should not be working in that role, my friend had a similar experience at a scan with the nurse, she complained and got an apology. I think they need to realise how their comments are very upsetting and inappropriate.

Mimosa, sounds like a good read and I'm in need of a new book to start reading, thanks for the recommendation.

Sorry for the negative test Weasledee, I would say yes to one more month.

Hope everyone is enjoying the fab weather, I'm into weekend two of DH's family visit and so will mostly be trying to act like the perfect daughter in law and hostess!!

Letsdothis42 · 08/07/2018 03:18

Hi all,

@littlemimosa thank you so so much for your kind offer! the weirdest thing, I was chatting to a friend tonight who had her baby two years ago at 40 (after being diagnosed with endometriosis and having a previous mc at 6 weeks and only ovulating from one ovary and not regularly!) she was asking me how I was getting on as I haven't told any of my RL friends the current AF late but BFN situation until i'm sure what is going on, and she said she had a lots of good books and Inconceivable was one of them!! So Please pass it on to anyone else who wants it!

I also now know what is meant by spotting, so after my little minor heartbreak thinking AF had started two hours after I had my HCg blood test taken at the GP's on Friday, later on that night I was back to having nothing, its like the brown jam had evaporated! so spotting it was then.

Still unsure of what this means, and although I am trying not to think about it, it's all that is on my mind! and I would've loved a glass of wine at friend tonight but refrained!

Hope all are ok, @weasledee, sorry for your BFN, I would also say yes to one more month.

BooseysMom · 08/07/2018 06:37

Morning Lets.. I remember you posted v.early previously as you're not in the uk right? Well i thought i'd reply as we're up much too early for a Sunday! DS never usually wakes til gone 7am but today he was bright & early at 6am so we're watching Baby Jake together! DH will be asleep for at least another 3 hours!
That brown jam is strange. Interestingly i was reading on the conception page another lady had taken photos of hers (yeuk ..but she did put warnings in the title!) and she likened it to brown jelly like bleed. It then turned to fresh red but she had just come off the depo. She then had sharp pain. Everyone said it was normal after coming off the depo and just her periods returning. I used to have it but can't recall what it was like when i came off it. All i know is the strange brown "bleed" was exactly what i had for 2 cycles when i didn't know i was preg. I wrote it in my diary at the time. I wrote that it was like a really strange AF. Not heavy enough to wear a tampon and hardly any cramp and it was most def brown. Looking back i can't believe i didn't twig and it was DS all along!

Chatbash72 · 08/07/2018 11:48

Greg Wallace and his 32 year old wife have been ttc for 2 years... not just our age group xx

Letsdothis42 · 08/07/2018 16:29

Hi @booseysmom! nope i'm in the UK just screwed up sleep patterns! sounds like a lovely morning!

Yes Brown Jam! I did see the other thread with the poster you mentioned, (what is Depo?) mine just seemed to go away after a few swipes, I used a sanitary towel thinking it was the start of AF but it was clean a few hours later when I went to the loo so no idea WTF was going on! I am just holding out hope for results tomorrow, when you had your blood HCg result back did they give you a number? did they ever say afterwards when your pregnancy was confirmed why your HCg was undetectable?

Your final result was amazing and what I am clinging to!

@chatbash72 I didn't know that! but yes you are right infertility strikes lots of different ages when I was younger a friends sister was trying for 7 years, in her mid 20's and after 7 years of heartache and trying she now has 4 DC all naturally conceived!

willowsmumsy · 08/07/2018 17:20

Hope you don't mind me gate crashing your thread, but I wanted to tell you my positive story. I had an ovary removed when I was about 35, then had a ruptured ectopic at 38. This required my tube being removed, which was on the opposite side to the ovary that had already gone. After a few months DH and I decided we'd stop contraception and see what happened. I wasn't hopeful. Around my 39th birthday I found out I was pregnant and had my daughter 4 months before my 40th.
I know I was under 40, but with only 1 ovary and tube on opposite sides, my fertility must have already fallen off a cliff- and I became menopausal at 45!
I'm proof that miracles can happen!
Sending baby dust to all xx

Cleozeta · 08/07/2018 17:37

Congrats willow! Thats a very hopeful story. I love a happy ending Smile

Lets - good luck with your results tomorrow

BooseysMom · 08/07/2018 18:17

Hi Lets ..
Sorry it must've been someone else on here who i spoke at that time of day! You asked. ."when you had your blood HCg result back did they give you a number? did they ever say afterwards when your pregnancy was confirmed why your HCg was undetectable?"
...Sorry Lets, they never said. But tbh i never did my own tests cos i never even realised what was going on! I know it sounds lame! But when i went to the docs and they did the test at the time and sent me to the hosp for a scan. . they suspected ectopic so i was totally stressed and when we got to the scan and found out we were 12 wks gone!! DH went white and i thought he was gonna pass out!! The 1st thing he said was "is there just the one in there? " lol!! Grin
I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow. .i'll be rooting for you xx

Chatbash72 · 08/07/2018 21:50

So af is 2 days late, nipples are really sore which they where when I had my m/c in early March... had a bit of pale pink when I wiped early afternoon( so sorry tmi), it was a little darker this eve but nothing major in amount but enough to throw me into a tailspin.. have tested this eve which was a waste of time as have been drinking water like a fish all day.. tum is really bloated and no cramping just aching/pulling... hormones bonkers and crying at odd moments..

littlemimosa · 08/07/2018 23:06

Ooh Chat I hope this is it for you. Fingers tightly crossed.

Let’s - how strange. It’s a sign! Glad you’re getting a copy of the book. Let me know what you think about it. It’s really got me thinking about some of the emotional garbage I carry around with me. Am going to work on that.

Ladies - I’m googling studies done on what makes women go into menopause earlier than others. I’ve been worrying about only having one ovary but a study done recently says that although they were fully expecting the answer to be yes, losing an ovary does send you into earlier menopause, they actually found it was only one year earlier in women with one ovary. Very pleased to read that!
Also weight and menopause...... I suspected this.... apparently low body weight corresponds to earlier menopause whereas higher bmi corresponds to later menopause. Except in the case of obesity which goes back to a risk for early. It’s down to thinner women having less body fat so they store less oestrogen which sends you into earlier menopause. So interesting and I’m so trying to put a bit on.

And saying all of that the hot flashes are back todaySad

Letsdothis42 · 09/07/2018 03:26

@cleozeta thanks! I am panicking a bit for tomorrow, and I don't really know why! I am trying to prepare for the worst news which is I'm not pregnant and menopausal!

@booseysmom, thanks! I have been having weird pains and slight pink tissue when I wiped, interesting that the dr's suspected ectopic, i've been thinking the same in my case as one of the possibilities! that you for the rooting-ness, means so much to have that support, you are all so kind!

@willowmumsy, thats one of the happiest success stories, I love happy stories so thanks for sharing!

@chatbash72 ...oooh fingers crossed, implantation bleeding perhaps?

@littlemimosa, I will definitely let you know thoughts, sounds like a very interesting lady! also your googling about menopause very interesting thanks for sharing, I need to lose a bit of weight!

The hot flushes of today = Sad

Chatbash72 · 09/07/2018 06:46

Af arrived this morning.... well yesterday I wondered around in a blissful state full of loveliness. Today not meant to be. Test was neg but we'll see if another m/c. Pics of my sis in laws non baby shower over social media, am sad not sure if it's because she said she wasn't having one at then to see that she did, which is a bit pants but I have to say I don't think I would have gone.. allowing myself a crap day and then will try desperately to see the positives.. at least af arrived, 2 days late but fairly like clockwork.. my friend says go for blood tests but after hearing all your experiences I'm not sure I have the emotional strength to get kicked in the teeth by damming ignorant medical professionals.. my blissful ignorance I will prefer to have to stay positive, we don't intend to go back to using any form of contraception, so just rolling the dice.
I'm not sure either if I want to take anything else in the vit dept.. can't Ubiquinol mess up your ov?
Good luck to @Letsdothis42.. we've all had a crap cycle this month..
my friend is sending down a book called alternative maternity ( v old) but she found it helpful.. I'll keep you posted.. xx

Cleozeta · 09/07/2018 08:11

Sorry to hear af came chat. It's always the worst day, and so depressing. I really crashed on cd1 this month, cd5 now and trying to feel positive again, but will be on edge now until ov.
My life seems to roll by cycles these days and mood is dependant on which part of the cycle I am in. The 2ww is my happy relaxed time! I guess because at least then I know I have done all I can and there is hope. FP is based on trusting my body to do the right thing and actually ovulate, which is where I worry. I need to start learning to trust it more.
Interesting read about the menopause mimosa, I spent a lot of time reading up on that last year too. How is your cycle goimg now? Any signs or af? Ov? Anything? Have you been to gp for tests or does that worry you? Weirdly my fsh was lower during my crazy cycle than is was 6 months later when everything had straightened out again. I do wonder what it would be now but I'd be too scared to find out.

Orchid222 · 09/07/2018 09:49

Good luck today Lets! Fingers crossed it's good news.
Chat sorry about AF. Cleo is right it is always the worst day.
Anyone else in 2ww? I'm not feeling hopeful at all but we'll see.
