Sorry Shiny - must have been a difficult day but glad you spent it with loved ones.

Mimosa - this isn’t permanent, it’s just an anovulatory cycle. What cd are you on now?

Letsdothis42 · 04/07/2018 00:58

Thanks for adding me @Shiny, sorry to hear about the way you are feeling right now, glad you spent your difficult day in the sunshine with your daughter x

Orchid222 · 04/07/2018 09:01

Shiny so sorry about your difficult time. As my dh always says we need to be grateful for what we have so I'm glad you have your dd and could spend the day with her.
Mimosa-this will pass and your hormones will go back to normal so please try not to get down about it too much.
I was just told by a neighbour who has a 2yo ds she's expecting no 2 which got me down since, if my pregnancy progressed last month, I'd be telling people in less than 2 weeks too 😢

OP posts:
Cleozeta · 04/07/2018 09:33

Shiny, that sounds so heartbreaking. I'm glad you have your dd for comfort.

Mimosa, please don't stress, this will come to an end and you'll be back on the horse before you know it.

Orchid, that's so harf isn't it. My neighbour is pregnant too, due around the dame time I would have been. It's like a slap in the face. An ongoing one.

Well I was a muppet yesterday, tested at 9dpo. I should know better. Bfn obvs. But at least it was to early to actually mean anything, am not convinced this cycle anyway. And I'm on holiday in a few weeks so at least I can drink

weasledee · 04/07/2018 09:55

Cleo, i nearly tested at 8DPO but I stopped myself. I'm going to try and actually not test till AF late... likelihood???!!! Smile
I'm not feeling hopefully, not a single symptom. Lost that hopeful feeling after that strong ovulation stick.... Confused

Cleozeta · 04/07/2018 10:41

What dpo are you now weasle? Waiting until af late? Yeah right Grin
I was thinking abput doing that too, but I know its not going to happen. But I get so fed up of seeing that stark white stick!

Also weasle - I hear so many people say that the cycle they got their bfp is the one with no symptoms.....

Orchid222 · 04/07/2018 10:56

It's so hard Cleo! And you have to congratulate and keep smiling while crying inside.
Well I'm not testing until the day I expect AF to show so another 2 long weeks since I only got a peak on opk yesterday after 5 high fertility days

Chatbash72 · 04/07/2018 10:56

Ooh shinyblackdog sending big hugs... hope you were able to have some giggles with your little girl on such a rubbish day..
littlemimosa I'm sure this is just a crap cycle and hormones will come flooding back..
@Orchid222 total shit about the neighbour.. every time I look at my niece and my soon to be born nephew I think... you would have a little playmate cousin your age.. sister in law due in 8 weeks.. thankfully we are away so I can go and see when all the rest of the hullabaloo has died down..
@weasledee Day 27 in cycle, can't give an exact date on ov as don't use
the strips.. but af due in 3.5 days.. am ignoring any possible sore boobs or aches.. as my body lies!!! But off to Paris in 2 weeks with eldest offspring ( I had her really young 🤣🤣) so hoping to eat my body weight in soft cheese and seafood.. not heaving my guts up in the Louvre.. oh who am I kidding I would love to be heaving my guts up if I was preggo... big love to everyone on here.. you are all awesome and keeping me sane xx

mellongoose · 04/07/2018 18:29

Sorry for being absent

@Critter I'm so sorry. We were all rooting for you. Please be gentle for a while.

Ladies, I get the feeling we are letting it get us down. Come on, Mother Nature, I've been your loyal servant for nigh on 42 years now....please be kind!!!!

In my case I missed my DH on the crucial days as predicted. Another month wasted.

Am thinking of you all and wishing we could all be successful.

PollyIndia · 04/07/2018 19:01

So sorry Critter. Agree with mellongoose... take some time to be kind to yourself.
Mimosa, I agree, am sure it will be back.
I've done 3 months of supps and acu and herbs, and I'm going to leave it for the summer. I'm doing a build on my house, plus away quite a lot. I might join people on the IVF bus come september.
Good luck to you all - I'll be popping in from time to time. Sending you all lots of baby dust I hope.

weasledee · 04/07/2018 21:46

So ladies, I'm not going to lie, went in the bathroom to get a shower and thought, IM GONNA POAS!!!! Doesn't matter that I'm only 8/9 DPO or that I said I was going to wait till AF due....
BUT!!! I actually had no pregnancy tests left??!!! Can u believe that??? I'd peed on everything I owed last month! I thought there was 1 left! Nope!
(Pre menopausal memory loss??!!) Grin
So I now have 2 packs coming in the next couple of days, thanks to amazon Smile

littlemimosa · 04/07/2018 21:57

Shiny - that must’ve been a difficult time for you. Therapy could be a good idea, I do believe in the mind-body connection. It’s highly likely that if you’re scared on some level that it’s affecting your hormones.

Orchid - sorry to hear you’re finding things difficult too x

Weasel - I’ll eat my hat if you last til AF due date Grin

Cleo - step away! It’s too soon!

Thanks ladies for all the votes of confidence. I’m CD37 and struggling to maintain hope. I hope you’re all right. If nothing else this feels cr@p! I’m dreading menopause. Talk about feeling dried out! Anyway got reflexology tomorrow so really looking forward to that and hoping it’ll help balance me up. Still trying to put a tiny bit of weight on but it’s surprisingly hard. I don’t want to resort to eating general rubbish.

littlemimosa · 04/07/2018 21:58

See Weasel - you prove me right in no time;-)

Cleozeta · 05/07/2018 00:15

Haha weasle! Grin that's hilarious. Must have been your subconcious telling you not to test too early by not restocking the sticks!!

I held out today and didn't test again. Going to try and hold out until Friday, thats my goal. I would like to test again before af gets here, just because its fun.

Mimosa yes menopause will be utter crap, but I vow to take it on the chin if I have another baby first. If I don't then I'm declaring war on it as It'll be taking my opportunities and shitting on me while its at it. No thank you. It's not welcome here yet.

Letsdothis42 · 05/07/2018 03:30

@weasledee that made me laugh! it's always the way!

I am now 16 days late , only tested twice (BFN's) and making an appt with the GP in the morning! maybe 29 DPO (?) I would be ovulating around now going by my regular cycle and I feel all the ovulation feelings, watery CM painful ovaries ... I asked H if we should DTD and he was as confused as I am!

Why does it have to be this big a mindf**k!!!

Letsdothis42 · 05/07/2018 03:49

@littlemimosa how did reflexology go? hope you are feeling balanced Smile

mondaycando1 · 05/07/2018 08:23

I keep lurking and end even posted on an earlier thread - have 2 ds (8 & 7) with no ttc issues but now am 44 & have had lots of late night chats with dh about ttc#3. I've had an IUD in since ds2 but that's now out so we're seeing what happens and I have to say knowing that's out, am more on dtd than I have been for a long time Smile . I have no idea what day I am on as the last 6 months have been 21-35 days with a lot of spotting etc hence the IUD coming out - gp suspects fibroids playing up rather than premenopausal and women in my family have had late menopauses. Anyway, here I am. Reading all your stories makes me think I am in for a tough ride but you all sound lovely and supportive x

KeepingTheFaith9 · 05/07/2018 13:02

Welcome Monday. Nothing but support on this thread. I’m almost 44, so in the same boat - hoping you are saved by the late menopause history, at least that’s a positive thing. LetsDoThis - good luck @ the GP - us ladies haven’t been having much luck on the NHS front but some doctors are benevolent and some budgets greater than others. Good luck to all you ladies waiting to test 🙏🏻 X

Cleozeta · 05/07/2018 13:06

Welcome monday! Good luck with your journey.

So, af came for me today. Early at 11dpo. I'm now worried that things are taking a turn for the worse, as I was taking B complex this cycle I thought that would extend my lp as it did before, now its shorter.
Really worried as well as I'm going on holiday in 2 weeks, and last year when we went, I had that horrendous anovulatory cycle. Worried it'll happen again. Seriously considering IVF in september, as time is running out rapidly Sad

Cleozeta · 05/07/2018 13:09

And I don't have the late menopause history, I have f early menopause history, so totally screwed.

Orchid222 · 05/07/2018 13:31

Welcome Monday, hope no3 comes along soon.
Cleo-sorry AF arrived. I'm starting b complex today so hoping it doesn't mess anything up. I'll definitely be there with you on the IVF road if nothing happens in the next few cycles. I'm feeling very mildly hopeful but deep down fearing it won't happen anytime soon with IVF 😢

mondaycando1 · 05/07/2018 13:44

Thank you for the welcome. I can't talk about this irl as I don't think a single one of my friends and family would say anything other than "You are mad!", a couple of very close friends of similar age have battled (& lost) with infertility and IVF so can't share this journey there and all my school mum friends are quite career driven so wouldn't get it either. Although the whole starting school again at 50 seems ludicrous so perhaps I am mad!! Dh not complaining though, we've both half heartedly said we really should get some condoms but neither of us have which says it all really Grin

Orchid222 · 05/07/2018 13:45

Meant to say without IVF of course

mondaycando1 · 05/07/2018 13:49

Cleo - am a bit clutching at straws with the late menopause on my mum's side as they all started late too whereas I was 10 & on my Dad's side, Gma was the only woman we knew and we have no idea what happened with her, I take after her in lots of days so fingers crossed she was late too.

Cleozeta · 05/07/2018 14:15

My mum started menopause at 35 so I'm lucky to have got as far as I have. It's almost always linked to the mothers side. Not holding out hope, as I think my time may be nearly up now. At least I know not to wait any longer and if I can action anything now I should.
Anyone who has the comfort of genetic late menopause can relax for a bit longer.

Orchid, I feel like that too
