A thread for all those who have suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately know as the penguin huddle.

We'll start with a roll call as there have been so many new members lately and so many success stories that I think we've all lost track.

Pretty sure I have a uti.... Sore, feel like I need a wee constantly, tummy ache... maybe we went overboard on the jks. Planning to phone docs but I don't want antibiotics if they can damage my chances of concieving. Anyone been in this situation?

@TedLife from what I've read there's about a 14% chance of miscarriage in pregnancy. 1% of women who have had a miscarriage will go on to miscarry again. That's from the Mayo fertility clinic. The people I know who are open about their experiences tend to be those who've had recurrent miscarriages, those who've had one don't seem to talk about it and generally have got pregnant within a year of trying again.

So left DS at home with hubby today as he's being treated for suspected Scarlet Fever. As a result I got told to work from home as our HR lady was concerned that I'm either contagious or worried and distracted. I never get much done working from home as my network connection is sketchy and for some reason I can't even log into my email today. When DS is ill he loves a cuddle and tries to type on my laptop if I'm working at the same time so that doesn't help either. Currently typing this whilst hugging him, bless him.

You do need to stop googling but really hard not to. See what happens, even if it’s positive you will still be on edge due to what happened last time. My implantation cramps felt like normal period cramps and lasted a few days. Fingers crossed for you.

@Pancakes7 yes I've had UTIs before all my pregnancies-including my successful one. Some Antibiotics are supposed to be ok just make sure you to tell your doctor you're TTC so they can give you the safe one- so try not to worry! I HATE UTIs

@TedLife most women only have 1MC and then go on to have a healthy pregnancy- it's less common to have 2 and very very rare (less than 1%) to have 3....so do not worry!

So ladies with OPK experience !
I fucked up CB digital advanced one today because I forgot to stick the stick in the machine before peeing on it
I was expecting the static smiley (had 3 days of flashing ones)
So I've gone out at lunch and POAS on 2 sticks! (I've definitely caught the bug)

So I got a normal CB digital- that came back with a blank 0- 😐 ???
And then I got a cheapie one and look!
Doesn't this look positive to you guys ?
Am I to expect this to be even darker?

And @Boboelephant here is my chart... I only started temping on Friday so there's not much to it....

Any thoughts?

@Boboelephant im 4dpo so you must be 7dpo today. 1 week down! 🎉 my af is due the day we fly so will probably test while on holiday if she doesn't appear.

@Murderino i have made some baby quilts. A couple of years ago I made my first, a baby boy and a baby girl one. Iv just kept until one day i need them. This year good friends had a baby, and i made them one too, i worked really hard on that one.
Its not too hard, i taught myself with you tube and the internet. Id be happy to help where i can.
Like @HidCat says maybe a cushion cover first. Iv made a few of those they are fun to do.

@zarala I couldn't help but laugh, sorry. Glad you have sorted it. Im pretty sure ovulation is imminent for you.

@Laney79 Iv had 3 days of positives before, if that helps. I think you can catch it going up and down. My first ov since mc was 3days of positives

@Coffeist welcome aboard. So sorry for your losses.

@zarala that looks almost positive to me I'd say your high but not peak, how confusing for you though! Test again later on tonight and it might be positive.

@Boboelephant I'm excited for POAS Friday for you! I'm gonna wait until 11dpo this month to test too. Only 9 days to go...

@YellowDaffodils86 thanks, that's so kind! I'm very much a learner by YouTube too. I used to be pretty handy in a sewing machine but it's been a while and the one I've acquired is old.

@HidCat @Boboelephant and @zarala thanks for your replies. Hope you guys are right and it makes sense as @HidCat said that those who have suffered more are more open to talking about it. Just another thing I'm worrying about and I really need to get out of that frame of mind.

@DaisyMay25 thanks! I will test again later tonight and then tomorrow morning I'll use my last digital one - hopefully then it will be static! Never realised I ovulate this late after ewcm!
Also today I have definite ovulation cramps- so I think you're right that it's imminent !
Gonna JKS for the next 2-3 nights and fx
Just hope the medication dr S has prescribed me doesn't interfere too much with everything!

@zarala that's a pretty good plan! JKS! I'm the same though I usually ovulated two days after EWCM which is bizarre! Hopefully you get a positive test later then can join us in the tww!

Just quickly jumping on to shout and scream. Af pains already, I’m only 10dpo (unless I have ov day wrong but I’m still only cd24 which is 4 days earlier than ever before) I hate this whole process, I just want a baby!

@KnitKitty I think I have a uti as I've been in agony all day. either that or something seriously wrong. had my head scowling at me for leaving on time today when others were staying late. I cried on my way in I was in so much pain. and she's been threatening redundancy again because I refused to take a pay cut. all in all crazy but no sign of af and due tomorrow haven't tested again as can't bear the disappointment x

@Laney79 , my libido has also gone through the roof, just had a week of JKS (even managed a morning session which I would not normally be into!) fx for your ovulation , if I was you I'd just JKS this evening anyway... xx
@TedLife , I'm as anxious as you re another pregnancy as I've only had one MC! Although my dr said I've had three successful pregnancies so no increase in having another MC , fx for you xx @Boboelephant thanks for advice re FRER! Never used that one before, normally just used clearblue. Fx for you this month x
@Pancakes7 hope you don't have a UTI! I was feeling a bit sensitive after a few days of JKS using the fertility gel - which we then stopped using a DH said it was a passion killer! Fx for you xx

@zarala I am using the digital OPK , originally for three days, last Sun, Mon & Tues mornings. I got the clear circle with no face so negative.
I then the tested on the third day again (Tuesday) in the evening at 2130hrs, not sure why I decided to retest, but it was a flashy smiley face.
For the next three mornings (Wed, Thurs & Fri) , it was a flashy smiley face, then on the forth morning (Saturday) it was the static smiley face and it remained on for 48hours , it was still there Sunday morning but this morning it is blank. x so I'm sure if you were using the test right, it may be the same. X hope that helps. Fx for you xx

@DaisyMay25 , I bet you are like me this week, Cheshire Cat smile waiting to test, although every day seems like an eternity. I've done everything possible this last week, so glad to have a relaxing week ahead not bugging DH !! X
@rdm10 you are bound to feel fed up and angry, it's not fair!! Hope you're just having the start of pregnancy buggies snd not AF niggles!! X
@Cakelaur what do you use the progesterone for! Although I'm glad to hear it's working for you x I'm sending my DH out for some pineapple as I've just run out, I'm 1dpo so definitely need it, although DH doesn't understand? But I'm sure most DH's didn't not understand all the weird and wonderful things we do to conceive! Fx for you x

@Murderino no problem. Surprising what you can learn from you tube. I learnt to crochet from there too.
I haven't used mine for a while. I started with a basic one and treated myself to a super duper one at the start of the year.

@zarala its true, you have to have some fun, otherwise it can get too much. You have to laugh at the silly things we do,such as dropping your urine sample in your lap-one of my finest moments😂

@rdm10 It might not be AF, cramps can be IB or signs of bfp, not to get hopes up but all is not lost!

But rant away, we all know the rage feeling!

I already feel better than this morning. Been drinking lots of water. Hoping it'll pass quickly. I'm away up north with work wed-fri. So hoping it goes, the car journey won't be fun if I constantly need the loo!

Cm still there when I wipe but reduced a bit. So hoping we caught my fertile time. So I'm joining the tww. Although I haven't had an af since mmc just over 2 weeks ago. Also only had one af since stopping pill before bfp.

@Boboelephant Fx for you! Not long till Friday now. Although it must feel like an eternity to you.

@MrsGS76 I've not tried the fertility gel. My DH would probably be the same. If it'sto regimented he doesn't like it. So I generally don't tell him that I think I'm ovulating full after. Less less pressure. Fx for you. When can you test?

@rdm10 I agree with the others, it could be first signs of pregnancy so fingers crossed for you! Totally understand why you're feeling negative and angry though. Let us know how you are doing.

@YellowDaffodils86 Sorry saw your post the other day but due to flights and jet lag didn't get around to replying. That's cool we are due to test around the same time. I'm not sure I could wait until the start of the holiday - you have willpower! I would test earlier than next Tuesday but I don't want to get obsessed. I also really doubt we were successful this month. Just about to buy some FRER. I usually use CB but trying to do things differently this time. Sounds crazy but don't want to associate dates and brands with the MC!

Can't wait for Friday for you, I bet you're wishing the days away. Am doing well thanks, I had an early scan last week which was all positive news but still early days so trying to take it easy and not get hopes up too much!

@Pancakes7 I'm planing on testing on the 25th which is when AF will be due, if I start to get symptoms before like sore boobs, I'll test before. Fx for you xx

@KeefBurtain did you manage t get a positive OPK over the weekend? I got my static smiley face on sat morning and have manage lots of baby dancing over the past week! Fx for you xx
