🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧

A thread for all those who have suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately know as the penguin huddle.

We'll start with a roll call as there have been so many new members lately and so many success stories that I think we've all lost track.

HidCat
Age 35
TTC #2
DS 5
MC at 11wks in January
Cycle 3 post MC, trying since August 2017

@YellowDaffodils86 I cramped cd23 with implantation and everyday since - not sure about electricity but I'm certainly aware of it

Pancakes7 · 20/06/2018 19:35

@YellowDaffodils86 I'm the same. I've had weird cramps. But not like normal af. Got creamy/sticky cm again today. Getting my hopes up which I need not to! I know really it'll most likely be bfn...

YellowDaffodils86 · 20/06/2018 20:12

@Murderino thanks for your reply. Good to know.
@Pancakes7 iv also have creamy sticky cm
@weasledee i poas 10 and 12 dpo with bfn.
So was going to poas 15dpo if no af.

YellowDaffodils86 · 20/06/2018 20:14

@Pancakes7 i know its hard to get hopes up, i think af might just appear pretty soon. She feels so imminent. The only thing i think is, if its no this month, at least i can drink on holiday😂

HidCat · 20/06/2018 20:16

@YellowDaffodils86 I can relate to the electrical like pains. I think someone in one of my threads referred to them as fanny daggers 😂. Unfortunately mine were PMS but with symptoms crossing over it could be the other way for you.

@Lisalou88 I'm so sorry you've had two MCs so close together. I hope your cycles regulate and you get your rainbow baby soon.

I think I've ovulated today, CD16. DTD on CD 13 so in with a chance this month but OH not been up for it tonight or yesterday. Having said that my last bfp was exactly this timing so 🤞. I'm temping so hoping to see BBT rise in the next few days so I can say I'm definitely in the TWW. Now to avoid POAS for 2 weeks.....

@YellowDaffodils86 what kind of test are you using? FRERs?

I'm really nervous about POAS Friday- I know I keep saying this! But I have never had BFP before af was due so I really don't have high hopes for friday! I'm just worried that I will have a false negative and then stop the drugs and then I don't know how that will impact my treatment plan !
I suppose I should just contact the doctor and ask him! They're going to know I've become a crazy woman!

Also @YellowDaffodils86 I have had cramps since cd21 but I'm trying not to get too excited about it as I remember having strange cramps last month and we were actively preventing pregnancy so it might just be a thing my body does now...
I haven't had much Cm at all which is usually my telltale sign- so I'm probably not at all in this month!

Ahhh! Just 2 more sleeps till POAS FRIDAY!

zarala · 20/06/2018 20:26

Hi @Lisalou88
Welcome to the penguin huddle
So sorry about your losses- Fx everything yes back to normal and you get your rainbow soon!

zarala · 20/06/2018 20:27

@YellowDaffodils86 yeah! great attitude to have - there's always an upside! Fx for you anyway

Boboelephant · 20/06/2018 20:39

Hey all, thanks for thinking of me @BabynameEdie, @hayleyfx and @strawberrye. I'm ok, I just feel like i had to take a step back for a bit. I'm so happy for those that are getting your bfps and I don't want to steal the optimism away from those hoping for bfps immediately after losses. I just don't know where I stand. It's been such a long road and we are doing everything and it's just not happening. So i feel like maybe I need to try and think a little less about it all.
That said I'm sure in a few days I'll be back on here 50 times a day!

@Murderino and @RedRobin7 congratulations to you both!!!
@YellowDaffodils86 fingers crossed hun.
@zarala hope poas Friday brings you joy.

BabynameEdie · 20/06/2018 20:44

@Boboelephant I think that sounds like a good plan, just do what feels right for you and don't worry about staying in the loop here, the thread will always be here if you want to jump back in. Sending lots of love xx

RedRobin7 · 20/06/2018 20:49

@Boboelephant Thank you - I know it's hard for you to say that. I'm still so gutted it wasn't your month and I do feel guilty that it is possibly mine. I hope you are able to find some answers. Please don't give up hope xx

zarala · 20/06/2018 20:51

Thanks @Boboelephant
I've been thinking about you and sending you virtual hugs. It's just so shit and I'm really sorry. There's no rhyme or reason to this thing- some people are so lucky with this making babies thing and some of us have to suffer for it! It's just shit.

Have you done any tests? Hormone tests or egg reserves etc? A cousin of mine was trying for a long time- she was obsessively TTC and it just wasn't happening. She was so stressed. Crying every month AF arrived and POAS like constantly. Eventually she went to get her hormones and egg reserves checked out and she was pleasantly surprised with her results! She had convinced herself that all her former days of hardcore partying (working in advertising) has destroyed her eggs and that she had ruined her chances of ever having a baby- But turns out she was in good shape- after finding this out she said she felt a lot calmer about everything and decided to not worry as much anymore- she stopped POAS and temping and everything and and boom she got knocked up immediately! She's due a little boy in October.
I know it's far easier said than done to "stop thinking about it/ stop trying" but maybe having some kind of reassurance of that kind could help?

Sorry I can't remember if you already have had yourself tested?

Also totally understand if you need a step back from these forums! I thought I was so chilled out and now I'm as crazy as the rest as the huddle! Really have caught the bug!
But yeah
Basically I am rambling but just want to say I feel for you and always here if you need a rant
💕🐧💕

YellowDaffodils86 · 20/06/2018 21:14

@HidCat i have also heard that term too😂
@zarala only frer. Its tricky as i think mc has changed how my afs are now.
So hard to know if things are normal or not.

@Boboelephant thank you. Been thinking of you, i was going to give you a little poke but thought maybe you were getting some space. I think its good sometimes to have some time away from ttc madness.
Hope you are ok though.

I thought this picture was amusing, prepared ethier way😂

weasledee · 20/06/2018 21:16

Ha ha love the pic! It sums up all our lives at the moment! :)

Boboelephant · 20/06/2018 21:19

Thanks @BabynameEdie xx
Thanks @RedRobin7. Don't feel guilty. I am really happy for you. But yes it is hard for me. That doesn't mean you don't deserve to be thrilled for you though! I hope all goes well with this one xx
@zarala thankyou! Yes I had all the tests and everything is fine. It hasn't really helped me though as it just makes me wonder more what the hell is going on. I had my DS easily and without trying and then fell pregnant immediately the second time too. I had an ectopic and lost a tube and almost died and I'm convinced that's messed something up. They say it hasn't but before that I was pregnant first month twice and now it's been 20 months- pregnant once but a MC. So who knows?!?! I am a bit jaded and pissed off. Ugghh, sorry to be a downer!!!

Boboelephant · 20/06/2018 21:23

I'm ok thanks @YellowDaffodils86. Taking some time but still around. Haha for your pic!!!

Cakelaur · 20/06/2018 21:30

Ooooh @YellowDaffodils86 I got my bfp at 15dpo after testing negative on 12and 13dpo!! Eek!!! 🤞🏻

charlyn · 20/06/2018 21:38

Hi everyone, hope it’s ok to join you.
I’m ttc no.2 and had an ectopic pregnancy and surgery 2 and a half weeks ago.
I only have one tube now so that’s going to make things harder probably.
I have no idea where I am in my cycle or when to expect my first period. I guess I’m not really ‘trying’ until my first cycle after af but I don’t see the point in using contraception until then so...
Hope to see lots of bfps on this thread :)

dreaminofholidays · 20/06/2018 21:39

hello,
Please can I join?

age 32
ttc #1
1st cycle since MC in April @ 5-6 weeks
1st month ttc

No idea if I have ovulated or when AF is due as always had irregular cycles.
BFP in April was a big surprise, was just getting my head around it and get excited when MC started.

Not expecting anything this month but I have started tracking now

Fingers crossed for all those POAS and congrats to the BFPs. Fingers crossed for the rest of us xxx

hayleyfx · 20/06/2018 21:42

@Boboelephant I’m glad everything is alright! Take all the time you need, I totally understand - it can all get too much sometimes. Sorry for how low you’re feeling, would love to be able to say something to make it better but all I can say is we’re all here for you and can’t wait to see you get your BFP! Sending hugs. Hope you have better news this month!

strawberrye · 20/06/2018 21:48

@boboelephant I think it's completely understandable how you are feeling jaded and pissef off, there is absolutely no need to apologise. You always inspire me with how upbeat you are, how much you remember about each of us and how friendly you are to everyone on here despite the crappy time you've had of TTC. You truly are a ray of sunshine and really deserve to get a BFP. I think that's why we are all rooting for you especially, because you're just such a lovely human being! Sending hugs

@HidCat yay ovulation twin! I think I'm ovulating today or tomorrow, DTD yesterday and the day before and hopefully will be able to pounce DH tonight! Usually he isn't up for loads of nights in a row, don't know how you ladies do it with your marathons!

Lilimum4 · 20/06/2018 22:07

@boboelephant I think @strawberrye has said exactly what I was going to say. Hugs and healing thoughts to you hun x

zarala · 20/06/2018 22:14

@Boboelephant I totally echo what @strawberrye said!
Also I know this might not be what you want to hear but
Your last experience sounds really traumatic- maybe what is happening is less of a physical and more of an emotional block
Have you heard of craniosacral massage? That can sometimes help release any tension or sources of energy blockages
I know you've been doing acupuncture and that's great too
I also saw a naturopath after my last MC and she did craniosacral on me and she also recommended some homeopathy (controversial I know!) - but I have a lot of friends who swear by it

Just a suggestion !
I know your rainbow will come soon 💕

KnitKitty · 20/06/2018 22:28

Hello to all the newbies. We seem to have a few new people here. Sorry you find yourself here after losing a precious bean, but I hope you all get sticky ones soon. Excuse me for not saying hi to you each individually. xxx

Boboelephant do you think maybe you ovulate more often on the side that doesn't have a tube anymore? I totally understand if you need to take a step back, but please keep checking in every now and then to let us know how you are if you do. xxx

I did have a talk with OH today and we cleared the air. Feeling a lot better.
I am still getting odd pains on my right side though so I am feeling a little worried that all is not well with my ovary.

YellowDaffodils86 · 20/06/2018 22:37

@Cakelaur you keep popping into my mind, knowing that you didn't have a bfp till 15dpo. Not sure which way it will swing yet.
