Hello again! Hopefully I've remembered everyone - apologies if I haven't, get tagging!

@dottydally I'd definitely recommend it 😂 seeing the potential dates is super exciting, makes it a bit more real!!

@Jxtina86 yeah that makes sense - it is a bit nerve wracking I think, like knowing you want it is one thing, but then it actually being a possibility is a bit eek!! Fingers crossed for you though x

Also @dottydally I second that question, I'm so scared of just being sort of lonely - I'd love to meet other pregnant mums and have proper mum friends 😂

I did NCT when I was pregnant with DS1 but that obviously happens in late pregnancy. It was nice to get to know other couples though. I've moved away from the area but we're still in touch.
In my second pregnancy, I was on an antenatal thread on here that led to a Facebook group. There were around 80 of us that were all due the same month. I've met quite a few of them in real life now and they've been amazing support all the way through pregnancy and since we've had the babies. I definitely recommend it!

Summerbab · 11/06/2018 15:24

Hats off to the women who are trying for months + as I can already feel myself getting obsessed with the Flo app, when I might ovulate etc! I’m having my withdrawal bleed from my pill now so it’s not even like we’re actually trying yet haha. Anyone else getting itchy and wanting time to hurry up a bit

NeverHadANickname · 11/06/2018 15:31

Hi everyone. Can I join? Is it for people who want to TTC but are waiting for whatever reason?

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 11/06/2018 16:21

Welcome @Neverhadanickname. Yes, we're all waiting for our own reasons but seem to be finding it increasingly difficult as we get closer to our date. When do you think you'll stop waiting? Smile

NeverHadANickname · 11/06/2018 16:25

Ah good, sounds like where I need to be posting.

I have had two periods since stopping the pill and have started taking conception vitamins because I feel like I need to be doing something.

I am waiting for my visa application to go through, I am moving to USA later this year so once I'm there and married we will be TTC in full force. No actual date as of yet but it can't come soon enough 😊 my other half lives over there so we are not together physically at the minute.

NoseringGirl · 11/06/2018 17:15

Welcome @NeverHadANickname, that sounds very exciting!

NeverHadANickname · 11/06/2018 17:36

Thank you. Yes, very exciting. I have a lot to look forward to.

Jxtina86 · 11/06/2018 17:53

@Summerbab is the flo app good? I've been using Clue whilst on the pill as just wanted to monitor my period dates (as I could never remember when I went to the doctors!) But I don't think it's gonna do the job for when we TTC. Do you have to pay for extras on Flo or is it all standard?

cupcakesandglitter · 11/06/2018 18:13

@Summerbab I feel like I'm going crazy trying to wait 😩

@Jxtina86 I use Flo too - I didn't pay for anything, it's good for monitoring EVERYTHING! I'd definitely recommend it

@NeverHadANickname hi! What an exciting time - are you like the rest of us going itchy waiting?

OP posts:
NeverHadANickname · 11/06/2018 18:18

Yes I'd imagine I am. Feels like my whole world is on hold at the minute. We had a few moments of 'would it be totally crazy if I wasn't on the pill next time you are here' but we have held firm so far 😂 we really don't want to be in different countries while I'm pregnant or the possibility of giving birth while I'm still here.

Ells0204 · 11/06/2018 19:04

Is it ok if I join you ladies! Start a new job in July, OH and I also looking to move into a bigger place once I’m settled in the new job. I got AF today but glad I’m one cycle closer to trying again 😄

Can I ask some advice? My new contract hasn’t actually got ANYTHING about maternity leave in it?! Is that odd...I’ve obviously accepted the job regardless. But I didn’t really feel comfortable asking, erm excuse me, what about maternity leave? Lol. I don’t really know how to go about asking?! Am I naive to assume if it’s not in the contract at all then it’ll just be SMP unless stated otherwise? Sorry if I sound like an idiot but I’m TTC #1 and never really had to look into this sort of stuff before!

NeverHadANickname · 11/06/2018 19:10

I'd imagine it'd just be the statutory minimum if it doesn't say any different.

dottydally · 11/06/2018 20:10

@Ells0204 I don't remember my contract saying anything specific about enhanced mat pay but I definitely get it. Once you join you might have access to all their policies and it may be in there (ours is!). I appreciate it doesn't help til you join though!

Welcome @NeverHadANickname!

@cupcakesandglitter where are you based (roughly)? Maybe we can be friends!

cupcakesandglitter · 11/06/2018 20:49

@NeverHadANickname yeah I can appreciate that - it doesn't make it any easier though!

@Ells0204 what @dottydally said! With any job I've had I've only been able to see the mat policy AFTER I've started - being able to access intranet etc etc... maybe have a look then?

@dottydally West Midlands!! What about you? X

OP posts:
NeverHadANickname · 11/06/2018 20:51

@dottydally I'm in County Durham at the moment

dottydally · 11/06/2018 21:08

@cupcakesandglitter @NeverHadANickname waa, why so far Sad London here! Any others from London/SE? x

NeverHadANickname · 11/06/2018 21:11

@dottydally when I move I am very much relying on baby groups to meet people haha, hopefully I'll meet other people before then too though.

Jxtina86 · 11/06/2018 21:11

@dottydally I'm London! Whereabouts are you?

dottydally · 11/06/2018 21:27

@Jxtina86 yay! We are Zone 7. What about you?

NoseringGirl · 11/06/2018 21:35

You're not far from me @NeverHadANickname I'm from Tyneside!

Jxtina86 · 11/06/2018 21:40

@dottydally south london, zone 4/5. We've only just moved to this particular area in Feb so know absolutely no-one local. Think we'll defo be doing NCT if all goes well just to get some local friends if nothing more!

cupcakesandglitter · 11/06/2018 21:41

Ahh just me in the Midlands then 😩 looks like I'll be signing up for baby groups 😂😂

dottydally · 11/06/2018 21:45

@cupcakesandglitter I do travel your way sometimes!
