Anyone else waiting to TTC?

When are you TTC: I think we should start in June when DS is 2 but we are so broody it might be sooner
Why are you waiting: We are doing some house renovations at the moment & sorting out some stuff financially. Everything seems a bit up in the air & I can only stress about a couple of things at a time. I'm looking forward to life settling down only to have a newborn mess it all up again
What are you doing to keep busy?: I'm project managing house renovations & enjoying one-on-one time with DS before he (hopefully) becomes a big brother. DH & I are having a huge joint birthday party in September for my 30th & his 40th so I'm enjoying planning that!

@cupcakesandglitter CD36 here and still nothing but negative tests so maybe just a waiting game? If anything this has told me it is definitely what I want though. Exciting news on your car! It's all getting real..

@rollerskaterdata I have reconsidered and replied again. Hoping I'm more helpful this time! I do feel like someone hates me sometimes, I've been spot on for the last 5 months  knew it was too good to be true. Just keep telling myself this is why I came off early, to give things chance to settle down. I also worry as soon as things get irregular that it's a symptom of something nasty going on that's going to make it hard to ttc. It is irrational I know, I have no other symptoms to suggest anything untoward!

@randomuntrainedcuntowner so sorry to hear about your loss, it is an awful thing to have to deal with most of us on here are waiting until we are in the best position for a baby, whether it be motivated by finances, work or other children. We all have moments of weakness when we think 'now is the right time' but are trying to be responsible and do the best by our future little ones. Look after yourself x

In regards to your response to @randomuntrainedcuntowner I couldn't have said it better myself - sometimes it just isn't sensible to go for it, no matter how badly we want it. I could never forgive myself if I couldn't give my mini mes the life they deserve just because of one moment of weakness... doesn't make it any easier though. So sorry for your loss 💐

@dottydally hopefully it'll turn up for you soon! Mine finally arrived on cd45! Soon we will all be hoping they don't arrive and a bfp arrives instead!

Went for my scan today which is all apparently healthy and no structural issues to why my periods are all over the place. So back to the doctors I need to go!

@cupcakesandglitter honestly I swing between 'omg how good would it be' to terrified and worried that I wouldn't be able to give a baby what it needs. Realistically that's not the case and financially we would be fine, but there's lots going on in the next 6 months or so that would need to be changed.

I'm going to test again tonight (I bought 2) just in case.

I did kinda think about how this will feel when I am hoping for a bfp - I'll be wishing my period away!

@dotty Hope you get the result you're after! Mine arrived on CD39. Natural cycles have changed my "frequency" to irregular. I know what you mean about being glad you've come off the pill to give yourself a chance of regulating your cycles. Can you imagine how gutted we'd be if we were trying now and having a nearly 40 day cycle with BFN's.
@jellies. Congrats on your scan being normal. Hope you get an answer from your doctors though!
@Random, I'm really sorry for your loss. I understand what you mean by just start trying straight away. I feel like I might be being naive for thinking that everything will be smooth once we do start TTC and might be wasting time waiting. But I know that we're not quite in the right position at the moment.

Fingers crossed to everyone that their cycles average out to a normal cycle and it's just everyone readjusting to no hormonal birth control. I find it frustrating but pleased to know I'm not the only one out there!

@cupcakes, I know what you mean! DH and I bought a nice family car just a few weeks ago and I can't wait to fill it either. Now just need to buy our house...

@random, I really am terribly sorry for your loss. @dotty said why we are all waiting perfectly so I won't reiterate. Take care of yourself x

Still no period for me here. I've also had blood tests and scans and everything is normal and ticketyboo so no reason whatsoever for my irregular periods. I really think this cycle it's a combo of my coil removal, stress and maybe the pregnacare tablets but not sure about the last one. CD31 and counting...

@rollerskaterdata honestly when you buy your house, it's so weird! Everything starts falling into place! I realised it's two months until our second wedding anniversary... and we will finally have everything ready and be in the position (hopefully) to start TTC!!

I hate waiting on AF every month - It's like subconsciously we do it to ourselves 😩

@cupcakes, I hope so! Viewing a bunch of houses tomorrow so we'll see if we like any!

Anyone who is still waiting for AF have her arrive yet? Mine is STILL NOT HERE although I feel very period-y now like it's gonna happen any minute! Cmon cmon cmon...

So another test done and I'm 99% sure it's negative. But there's s bit of me that thinks there's the faintest little line. I never thought I'd become someone that spends their evening sat on the bathroom floor obsessing over a plastic stick I'll try again Friday if no AF...

We're officially in the first fertile window of TTC#3. I'm so excited! And terrified 🙈

@NoseringGirl there will be no obsessing this time I'm afraid. AF arrived with a vengeance around 3am this morning whilst I am almost slightly disappointed I am mainly relieved as I want to be able to enjoy ttc (if that is possible)!

Good luck this month! Got my fingers crossed for you - maybe you will have the first BFP on this thread!!

I’m another one that’s tentaively waiting for AF to arrive, just hurry up already! And I haven’t even taken my coil out so almost definitely not pregnant 🙈 I’m on CD 29 and my cycles have been 24-28 days this year so this is so frustrating! I’ve only got two this AF and another cycle before I’m officially trying so just wishing it to hurry up and be done with!

@dottydally I think even when you're not trying yet, there's still a tinge is disappointment to AF arriving. Hope it's not too bad and you can do lots of nice things for yourself today!
I doubt I'll be the first BFP, always takes me ages to conceive. I'm feeling quite relaxed about it this time though.

@dotty, thank you! Won't be gutted if we don't find one we like today, just happy that we're getting started looking, it makes it feel real now! I'm glad you got the outcome you wanted regarding AF so that you can enjoy TTC, I am still waiting and now wondering if I should take a pg test because this is ridiculous! I'm really sure I'm not though so don't want to waste money buying one

@NoseringGirl I did lots of lovely things today! Me & OH we're both off today so we went out and had a little wander and a picnic. I actually felt fine so the pain was short lived!

You never know, maybe 1st cycle lucky for you! How long did it take with #1 & #2?

@rollerskaterdata what's your gut feeling about the ones you are viewing tonight? I found I often had a feeling even before I viewed places.

Could you just buy a cheapy? I'm resisting the urge to purchase off amazon as I know I've got a few months to wait yet. The organised side of me just wants to get going and has picked our pram.

@dottydally glad you've had a nice day! My DS1 took 16 months and 3 cycles of clomid. DS2 took 17 months and I had metformin to treat my PCOS. I wasn't ovulating for a lot of that time though and I think I have been ovulating recently so hoping it doesn't take quite as long this time!
When the thread hits 1000, it'll be locked and we'll need to start a new one!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone our viewings went well today, saw a few houses we liked and others we really didn't but after another think about the train travel costs added to the mortgage etc, and it's general distance from London we aren't so sure about the area anymore, so I think we may be back to square one! I still feel we've made progress as we're whittling down our search area and know what we like/don't like in a house. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long though, I want to have found one and started the buying process by August! (I'm not prepared to push back my TTC timeline any longer!)

Still no sign of AF. Think I might have to just go and buy a bloody test so I can rule pregnancy out lol

@dottydally oh definitely! When we were TTC it was a nice time for us - obviously we enjoyed BDing, but there was so much excitement and actually our sex life was FAB. Not just because we were trying but because we felt close to each other and idk we could see us being a family.

We will need to start a new thread!! I'll do one now - need to think of something witty 😂😂

@rollerskaterdata that's good!! It's not until you physically see houses until you can work out what you want in a house I think - just keep looking out!!
