TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?
Advice and your stories welcomed!

@jemimafuddleduck thankyou so much.. sorry to hear you’re feeling down.

ttc does get too much at times I remember taking breaks from mumsnet too as that was added pressure in my mind

@jemimafuddleduck sorry to hear you have been feeling down - I know exactly how you feel..
For some reason I found Father's Day tough- think I had imagined there would be a little one here this year for Hubby and of course there wasn't- not helped by spending the day at my parents sorting there house out after the cold water tank burst in the loft!

Thanks @WaitingForThatBFP and @Pinkroseuk. Sorry you're finding it tough too.

I've just been finding it really tough the past couple of months. We need to get DHs semen tested (it's taking some time for the appointment to come through) and then we can go to the drs and ask to be referred to the fertility clinic as I have high FSH so I know we'll need help.

Regardless I still want us to keep trying but last month we couldn't DTD much around the right time, and the same with this month... I'm due to ovulate tomorrow or Wednesday, haven't seen DH since Friday due to work and probably won't see him/get the opportunity to DTD until at least Wednesday/Thursday. So pretty sure this month will be a write off too. Ffs 😢

Congrats @WaitingForThatBFP 🎉🎉
Ladies,
I always seem to get sensitive nipples around ovulation time but would they get sensitive before ovulation or after? Only asking because had sex literally alllll weekend so fingers crossed 🤞🤞

Ladies... Is it possible to have symptoms around 8/9 days after ovulation? Since yesterday I randomly keep getting a low dull pain in my tummy for a couple of minutes and then it goes. Happened around 3 times in the last 24 hours.
Also sometimes my nipples are sensitive one minute and then the next they are fine lol..

Still nothing here. AF due on the 30th!
Still just having sex when we feel like it. Every 2/3 days or so. Disappointed when AF comes but trying not to be too impatient. X

Still waiting for AF- day 56 now.
Still dtd most days so just having to wait and be patient (feeling very despondent right now).
Hope everyone else is getting on better :) xx

Hi everyone! I'm new on here - my first ever post! Me and partner have just started TTC, cycle 2. I just got my AF today, and to make it worse I think it's a bit early 🙁 I was on implant for about 18 months before, plus I had to keep taking the pill aswell as I was bleeding constantly, so I know my cycle is probably still not fully regulated. Anyway, looking forward to hearing and sharing experiences with you all, I've been trying not to obsess but I've failed miserably! 😁

@RobynC19 I know exactly how u feel-
I'm the same another negative test yesterday-
I would feel happier if it was negative each month after a regular AF and trying!
I am trying to loose weight too as the hospital won't see me again untill I have and I have broken my toe at the weekend so exercise is not going to plan!
Hope you feel a bit better soon

@Pinkroseuk what cycle day are you on now ? See I'm annoyed cause there don't seem to be a reason I'm 26 5ft5 9st4, no health problems and apparently all bloods are normal I think it's the waiting and not knowing why that's the worse but I am bloating loads x

Pinkroseuk · 24/07/2018 21:09

Yeah I guess it could still be your body getting back to normal- how long were you on contraceptives for as I have heard that the longer your on them the longer it can take..
so do I- we bought a pushchair in the winter sales as we were hopeful and I can't bear to look at it atm as scared it will never be filled :(

RobynC19 · 24/07/2018 21:29

@Pinkroseuk we went to buy a nursing chair second hand and I cancelled 30 mins before picking it up cause I started to feel sick cause I didn't no if it would cause bad luck and I'm not superstitious. I been on pill depo implant depo and pill again over the last 11 years so a long time xx

@RobynC19 CD 61 for me - I have had increased nose bleeds in last couple of days which is normally a sign of coming on for me but nothing so far-
That sounds positive-
I'm down hospital today with a broken toe- a year to date when my husband was here diagnosed with type 1 diabeties- I remember thinking then hopefully next time we're here it will be for good news of a new baby but not meant to be yet clearly! Xx
