TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?
Advice and your stories welcomed!

@Rachellouise28 will I defo get a solid if I am having a flashy face as this is only my first cycle after my withdrawal bleed from the pill CD13 but 19 days off birth control

Sorry about the BFNs guys, what a crap month!
Feel like I’m out too, had no symptoms at all, no sore boobs etc so thinking maybe I didn’t ovulate or something. Not been sleeping that well because of the heat, don’t know if that could have affected things. Have also sort of felt a bit ‘can’t be arsed/don’t care’ this month.
Af due Friday, usually can tell it’s coming so should get some cramping in a few days. Just hope it’s not late or anything.

Dh has his SA on Thursday and we’re going to book into see the doctor on Monday/Tuesday to see the results and then get referred.

Thanks all. I'm currently 11dpo but have short cycles and am actually a day late for AF (this has never happened the whole time I've been ttc). Took another test (IC) this morning - bfn! So I have no idea what's going on.

I had my trans abdominal and trans vaginal scan yesterday and it showed all looks well physically so that's good but that won't give any more info about my egg reserves (I got a high FSH result on my blood test).

DH just needs his SA now.

@Rmad6716 I'm sorry you're having it tough as well and I know how you feel. This ttc lark sucks doesn't it x

I did another sneaky test yesterday just to confirm things in my own mind before AF comes to try and avoid another meltdown (already had a huge cry about it on Friday) and still BFN...

AF due tomorrow and just want her to hurry up so we can get going again next cycle.

...the hardest part is convincing yourself that every twinge means you're pregnant in the TWW then feeling like a muppet when it's not 🙈

@jemimafuddleduck that's very promising results from your scans! Hopefully you get more good news from the rest of both you and DH's tests.

Ahh that will be frustrating! That is also very unusual to be a day late 😩. Fingers crossed for you!! X

So the blood yesterday was brown and mucusy (tmi) and had non overnight and tiny bits of brown this morning when I wiped but non since then could this be implantation bleeding or am I trying to see things I want to see

CD36, peak OPK on CD18, now 18DPO, 3 x BFNs....

Starting to thinking stressing about it is making my period late this cycle. Really hoping this isn't another crazy "regulating" cycle - really thought my cycles were coming back to normal with the last one being a reasonable 32 days.

I guess as long as it doesn't hit the 118 day mark (the worst and longest cycle in history) then I should count this as a win.

So it obviously wasn't implantation bleeding because at CD 20 after 8 days of flashy smiley faces I have finally got my peek. Wish me luck x

How do the clear blue ovulation tests work.. Do you have to use a new one each time?

Yer untill the sticks run out but you can't buy the sticks separately so a whole new pack is required not the cheapest

How many times can you use the stick

It comes with one reader and 10/20 sticks depending on box size each stick can only be used once but the reading can be used for every stick in the box as the sticks have to be inserted in to the reader x

So DH got his results back today and all seems good with him..
doctors sent off the referral for the fertility specialist I just hope we don’t have to wait too long! Fx

Actually got a peak on my clear blue ovulation monitor cd 20 cd22 now I am now officially in my first even tww bd on cd 6,7,8,11,12,13,15,17,19,20,21 so we gave it a really good go fingers crossed

Waiting till the end of the month to see the hospital again- monitor is just showing high again everyday!
Hoping that the hospital will give me something that makes me ovulate but will see-
Just catching up on everyone else's progress :)

@Pinkroseuk hope everything is ok. I’m in the TWW phase. Pretty sure I’m going to come on next week though as I have the usual symptoms - sore boobs, no patience and can’t stop eating 🙈😭😭 I guess cycle attempt number 13 will be starting 😭

I think I'm about the same timing as you- I don't feel any different this month either!

So today is CD 100 😬😬
thinking about testing later today not expecting much from it tho 🙊

Okay so I caved and tested 🙊🙈🙈

And it was a BFP. 🙊🙌🏻🙌🏻

I don’t even know how far I am as my cycle is so messed.. made an appt to see the doctor tomorrow

@rachellouise28 thankyou!! we’ve been trying since August.. we were recently referred to the fertility clinic as my cycle was all over the place and my pelvic ultrasound scan was showent no I may have signs of pcos..

I’m onto cycle 5. AF showed up exactly on time! Boo!

I will be testing next weekend before going onto another round- also have the hospital appointment next week.
