TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?
Advice and your stories welcomed!

Also my tummy has been really dodgy the last couple of days. I've been to the toilet about 5 times today! But it's normal so haven't got a bug 😦😦

@Unicorn234 I'm not resisting the symptom spotting very well at all 🙈

Had a bit of light cramping on my right side today (5DPO) and trying not to convince myself it's early implantation in case it just leads to disappointment when AF comes!

I have had some horrible headaches the last 3-4 days and some dizziness this morning and two days ago.

I usually get sore boobs for the week before AF but that hasn't started yet.

I think I'm just being hypersensitive to every twinge!

@sailorcherrie I really hope this month is ours! I'm getting so impatient

I know this is TMI but I'm not sure what's going on. Last week I had a couple of days where I had stomach cramps and a weird feeling in my tummy and ive not stopped pooing.
Last couple of days ive been burping which taste like eggs 🤢🤢 and farting like there's no tomorrow. Honestly this morning I nearly blew my partner out of bed 😂🙈 but there's no smell it's just air.
I don't think this is pregnancy related but anyone experienced anything like this??

10DPO and BFN... guess it's now just the wait for AF and onto the next month to start all over again... 😕

@sailorcherrie your not out until AF arrives! I'm trying really hard to wait until Tuesday which is when AF is due for me

@Unicorn234 I'm also due AF on Tuesday! Although am only 7dpo as I have very short cycles. I have my scan on Monday to find out what's going on with my eggs. Not sure whether I'll be given the results then or not.
How's everyone else getting on?

@jemimafuddleduck good luck for Monday. I’m now on cycle 12 as had AF last week 😭 husband is away for ovulation this month but we’ll still try. Good luck to you all for June! X

I don't feel like ive got any symptoms this month so don't think I've caught.

I am 25 on cycle one and on day 11 only stopped my pill 19 days ago but have had a withdrawal bleed so started counting from that, I am doing opk tests every day and clear blue ovulation tests aswell as taking supplements, I'm very excited to be officially trying but am feeling nervous as if my cycle goes straight back to normal I will be due AF on my bday. I am yet to see a positive ovulation test but I could just be to early in the cycle. It's nice to read other success stories

Been off the pill since start of the year and not happened for us yet. Sending you baby dust and I hope you catch quicker than me... I'm so impatient 😂😴😴

I hope it happens soon for you waiting is defo the worse part, can I ask how long did it take your cycle to return to normal @Unicorn234 x

@RobynC91 my cycles went back to normal pretty much straight away which I found really strange as before the pill I was so irregular. My cycles arrive normally on the 35/36th day and last about 4 days.
I'm due AF on Tuesday though but I don't think I will get a BFP 😢

I can't even remember what my cycle is I havnt had a natural one since I was 15 I'm hoping it comes straight back still waiting for a positive ovulation test. Sending you luck let me no how you get on xx

@RobynC19 awww will do hun and fingers crossed for you that everything goes back to normal for you 🤞
I've got the ovia app which is quite good at predicting when you will ovulate. I got a positive this month and the day I done the ovulation test we had DTD but knowing my luck I wouldn't of caught. 🙈
My periods came back to normal straight away but I don't think I started ovulating straight away which may be why it's taking me longer to conceive

Well AF arrived for me today ladies. 2 days early 😢.

Took a clear blue ovulation test this morning and got a flashing smiley face which means high change but not peak yet so I'm feeling better that things might actually be getting back to normal in my body CD12 :) woop x

Oh @Unicorn234 I'm sorry 😢 it sucks doesn't it?! AF is due for me tomorrow, but I usually get spotting for the two days beforehand (so should have started yesterday) and haven't had anything. Not getting my hopes up though!

Having said that, I've just done a test (because I'm a bit mad). I'm convinced I can see something on here but it's v v v faint. Can anyone else see it?

How long should you see the flashy face on the clear blue ovulation test will I defo get a solid face at some point x

@RobynC19 once you see the flashy test morning and night As it can change to solid in a few hours.

@jemimafuddleduck I can definitely see something on the first test. Surprised your FRER is neg ☹️. Sorry to hear. How many DPO are you? Maybe try again tomorrow with cheapo test.

I went AWOL last week as I did another test and it was a BFN. AF came shortly after. Had a really rough week and all I'm hearing about just now is the impending arrival of DH's brothers GF's baby. It really hurts. We just got married last summer and the whole family were expecting us to be having the first baby (so were we tbh). I know it's a happy time but the way I'm feeling it really is heartbreaking. Feel like we've failed cause it's not happened yet. Plus the constant 'baby 'insert my surname' feels like a dagger to the heart. I was so convinced that last month was 'the month'! Arghh sorry for my rant I'm just moaning and sad😔
