@Janefx40 - conversations are a rollin, but he backtracked on a lot of what he said when I asked him to leave last night. We've reached no conclusions but I've let him stay for now. We have an appointment with the therapist in a week so that will be intense. I don't like ultimatums but I think we're heading that way.

@Blueberry1 - the mucus plug fascinates me. Is it as grim as you'd expect? Fingers crossed for some forward momentum today...

Janefx40 · 02/05/2018 10:43

Wow @79andnotout you are so strong. You sound like you know what you are doing but it must be tough on you!

X

Blueberry1 · 02/05/2018 20:36

@79andnotout - sorry for tough time you're going thru with OH. I hope the end result is the one that suits you best in the long term. Bonne courage! TMI alert - mucous plug/show looked like stretchy pale brown snot Shock. YUCK!

@JaneFx40 unless am bona fide already in labour by Friday, I'll be induced. While good progress is being made, that doesn't mean baby will definitely arrive on or before Saturday without any intervention. Details of evidence base: www.rcog.org.uk/en/guidelines-research-services/guidelines/sip34/.

Janefx40 · 03/05/2018 17:30

@Blueberry1 hopefully things are progressing well. Good luck tomorrow if you do have an induction. Either way, you're nearly there!

Xxx

79andnotout · 04/05/2018 09:55

@Blueberry1 - good luck today! Keep us posted if you're not too busy!

All okay here. Not doing anything rash until we've discussed further with the therapist.

Blondcat · 04/05/2018 13:31

@blueberry1 hope it is all going well for you thinking of you today.

So AF turned up yesterday think that means my body is getting back to normal. Wow the cramps though phew I feel like I did when I was 15 the pain Shock. Plus tmi alert but loads of clots.

Kescilly · 04/05/2018 13:46

Can I join in? We have decided to start trying next month and I'll also be turning 35. I'm nervous because I would have liked to start sooner, but wanted to give our marriage a little time first.

I was thinking about either getting the Clearblue ovulation tests or the monitor. Any thoughts?

So excited to see so much good news and support in here!

Janefx40 · 04/05/2018 15:31

Hi @Kescilly welcome. It's up to you. In my opinion the CB digital ovulation tests are the best ones if you can afford them. They are expensive at first because you have to work out when you ovulate so you use more but if you are relatively regular, you soon start using fewer.

However you might want to consider not being too precise about it to start with. Do you have regular periods? Tracking helps with timing but it can also be quite stressful esp for DH. Lots of people recommend just having regular sex mid-cycle to start with and with hindsight, I wish I had started that way.

@Blondcat glad body is getting back to normal. Do you feel ok about getting AF?

@79andnotout must be hard waiting until next week but sounds sensible. Sending love

So excited that somewhere out in the world @Blueberry1 is hopefully having her baby! Fx

Blueberry1 · 04/05/2018 16:48

@Kescilly - would second what @janefx40 said about clearblue ovulation sticks. I used dual hormone ones & recommend. If your cycle is regular then you may only need to use for a few months (assuming no BFP; you might get pregnant quickly who knows?) to work out your fertile window.

@blondcat - sorry mc was confirmed. Glad body seems to be working properly.

As for me, I woken at 4am with a few contractions & I thought "yeah labour is starting", then they stopped! Am now in hospital antenatal ward waiting for a space in busy labour ward to be induced. Have just sent DP home (we live only 20 mins from hospital) to make himself some dinner & come back later before I am moved. It's a bit boring but the longer I wait, the better chance I have of spontaneous labour ( cross your fingers please ) and I have a good book!

Janefx40 · 04/05/2018 17:19

@Blueberry1 hooray for busy wards buying you time. I will cross my fingers for labour to kick in asap! You never know, you may be nearly done by the time DH gets back from dinner. Glad you have a good book at least. You sound in good spirits.

X

Kescilly · 04/05/2018 17:21

Thanks guys, I appreciate the responses. I feel so honoured that you took the time to respond to me, @blueberry1. Sending you lots of positive thoughts!

Blondcat · 04/05/2018 23:15

@janefx40 I feel OK though wish the cramps would calm down a bit. Kind of glad actually as feel like I am having a proper clear out so will be all good to go in a week or two to try again. A couple of beers tonight have helped me relax a bit been a bit grumpy last few days now feel better.
@kescilly welcome

79andnotout · 06/05/2018 09:22

Welcome @Kescilly !

@Blueberry1 thinking of you! Hope you're busy busy with a lovely newborn right now xx

BougieQueen · 06/05/2018 22:40

No word from @blueberry1 yet? Hoping for good news of a safe delivery!

Hope you're all doing well. I have stopped ttc for a while as I got too introspective about it all. Due to see the gynae doc soon after having an ultrasound of my uterus which revealed some fibroids'

Haven't posted in this topic for ages. Hope you're all well.

Blueberry1 · 06/05/2018 23:12

Sorry for radio silence. Slightly traumatic events, but baby & I are OK. Didn't have to get induced, waters broke, contractions started (they are painful am not going to lie...) and everything progressed well until I had to push out the baby, who as well as being on big side (over 8lb/3.5kg) was in awkard position (not breech), so despite my best efforts (with DP encouraging me), I couldn't get baby out. This ended with an unplanned caesaerean Confused, which actually was super quick & well executed leaving no lasting damage to Mum or baby Smile. Our son is of course most adorable little creature in the whole world, but perhaps I'm biased? Wink.

Janefx40 · 06/05/2018 23:43

Hooray! Congrats @Blueberry1 sorry it hurt and was traumatic...I'm so glad he is here and you are both safe.

Are you back home? Would love to see a pic but will understand if you prefer not to.

@BougieQueen nice to hear from you. A break from TTC sounds just the ticket. Are the fibroids likely to be problematic?

Love to all. It's taken a while but one of us has a baby!!!!! Three cheers for @Blueberry1 and son

Xxx

Blueberry1 · 07/05/2018 07:23

@BougieQueen - A colleague with a recurring fibroid problem ended up getting pregnant naturally in a few fibroid free months after fibroid removal surgery while waiting to do embryo transfer (she'd started IVF but had to delay embyro transfer). So I'd advise getting them sorted out!

Hi @janefx40 - thanks for your kind wishes. Am still in hospital as doctors wanted to keep baby under observation a bit longer. Should be discharged today once paediatrician has checked him.

I don't want to post a photo as DP is rather private person and I know he he wouldn't feel comfortable with that (he hasn't even posted a photo on facebook although my Dad did!). He knows about this group and he's fine with that as I am participating anonymously.

PixieN · 07/05/2018 08:49

Hi Ladies - hope I can join you? I’ve actually been following your thread for a while & silently comiserating with you & your losses & celebrating your successes. Seems slightly stalkerish now i’ve written that down! Grin

I’m 36 & have been TTC (trying, not trying) since just before Christmas. For the last few months, we’ve been trying properly & I’ve been tracking & using ovulation sticks. I’m finding it all very confusing though. According to my app I ovulated yesterday, but when I tested with opk the line only went slightly darker than the day before & it’s back to a faint line again this morning. Not sure if i’ve ovulated at all & whether i’m testing at the wrong time. I read somewhere that it’s better to test in the afternoon. Also, that I should be temping too...?

@Blueberry1 congratulations on the birth of your baby boy Smile

Blondcat · 07/05/2018 10:04

@blueberry1 sorry for the slightly traumatic delivery but glad you and your little boy are safe and well. Congratulations Flowers
Welcome @PixieN. I don't use opks but from what I understand afternoons and evenings are better for the non clear blue ones. I think some people say 4pm and 10pm. As for temping this can be good for some but doesn't work for me as I get up at least once a night to pee so not accurate. I have just got a fitness band which measures your resting heart rate as that can be used as an indicator so we will see (not the main reason for buying). Goodluck

Melamine · 07/05/2018 12:41

Oh massive congrats Blueberry! I’m so glad
You’re ok after all that. Such wonderful news.

And Blondcat never thought I’d say this but I’m SO jealous of your AF!

I’m back after a MMC found at 11.5. Looking forward to AF appearing so can try again.

79, sorry to hear your news. Fingers tightly crossed you can work it out wither way.

Welcome to newbies. Good luck to all of us!

Blondcat · 07/05/2018 12:46

@melamine thanks though it has been unbelievably painful and tmi so many clots I do feel at least I am out of limbo and hope to enjoy so much needed dtd with dh. I haven't checked tests are definitely negative yet thought I would wait until af stops but suspect they are by now. Fx af does up for you soon x

PixieN · 07/05/2018 17:08

@Blondcat - thanks for the advice. Good luck to you too & everyone else ttc Flowers x

Janefx40 · 07/05/2018 17:10

Hi @Melamine sorry to hear about your loss. Fx for a speedy period.

Welcome @PixieN I personally recommend digital OPKs if you can afford it - they are expensive but save a lot of stress with deciding what time to test and measuring the colours of different lines. I never temped because I thought it would send me loopy but others on here can give good advice on that. Good luck.

@Blueberry1 Glad the hospital are taking good care of you. Sorry for my cheeky request - on reflection, I wouldn't post a pic either!!! Just glad to hear you are both well

Love to all

Xxx

Blueberry1 · 08/05/2018 06:37

Hi all, thanks for your kind wishes. Baby & I need to stay in hospital a couple more days; but nothing serious. DP is with us nearly all the time (going home to sleep/wash baby clothes etc) and my mum is helping us out too.

Best wishes/baby dust to all FlowersBear

Russkispy · 08/05/2018 07:39

Blueberry, massive congratulations! You’ve made it! Sorry about slight traumatic birth but you got there in the end! And you and your gorgeous baby are doing well! Big hugs!!

The rest of us on this board will get there too! I’m absolutely convinced!! Stay positive! It might be heart from one month to another but we must get going till we reach our goal - a big fat BFP!!!
