We maxed out our last thread, so I've started another one for us!

Welcome @Flev! I'm in the exact same boat as you, timings-wise but having the complete opposite, much, much drier than normal! Trying not to ss but it's just so hard. Good luck to us in a week!

SoozC · 06/02/2018 20:02

Hey, 79! Good to see you again and glad all is well with you! You sound positive :) I'm still here, mc last November at 7 weeks. Other than that, no news!

Jane, did I miss an update on your first IVF cycle? Hope you're okay x

Second acupuncture session today. She used moxa for the first time. It's possible I ov'd at the weekend; if I did I'll be happy because it'll mean my cycles have gone back to their normal 28-29 day length rather than the odd 36-day I've had since the mc.

Hi all. Did another pregnancy test (10mIU internet cheapie) and BFN loud & clear. I feel so off though. AF hasn't come properly (still just tiny amounts of spotting). Weird twinges on the right side of my abdomen. Funny taste in my mouth. Worrying there's something wrong with me (a cyst maybe?). Maybe I'm overthinking it. I don't normally symptom spot though.

SoozC · 06/02/2018 20:50

Dreamy, when I had my bfp last October I had a positive on a CB digital but bfn on an ic with the same fmu. Just so you know...

Hi ladies I’m a week late so bit the bullet (in secret cause hubby will say it’s an expense when I have had just a week delay and no other symptoms) did a first response test result negative so where is my bloody period ? And should I have waited till morning wee? X

DreamyCat · 07/02/2018 07:49

@SoozC It was the One Step tests I used. No idea how good they are but so cheap! I've run out now though so will have to wait & see when my next batch arrive Confused I ordered some FRERs a while back - never tried those.

I'm not feeling as bad today but still an uncomfortable/full feeling in my lower abdomen/bladder & some nausea. I would like it to be pregnancy signs but I think it's probably stress or a physical illness!

Hope you all get your BFPs soon!

79andnotout · 07/02/2018 09:28

Hey @SoozC, nice to hear from you although sad to hear your news. That's rough. Hope you're doing okay.

Loads more brown blood for me today. Enough to use a pad, which has never happened in my entire menstrual history. Weird. I'm beginning to wonder if I maybe missed a miscarriage as I didn't test (period seemed to be on time ish but is quite irregular). Argh I hope my insides aren't melting or tumouring or I have some horrible STD.

Welcome @Flev!

@Lissyc1 - that's so annoying! Fingers crossed it's good news.

Not to be a downer, but I think there are some many viral infections going round at the moment it's messing cycles up and making people feel off. My BBT chart for last month was insane as I kept getting reinfected with illnesses. Roll on spring...

DreamyCat · 07/02/2018 11:40

@79andnotout I agree, so many bugs going around and this TTC stuff has sent me loopy. Think I really have been symptom spotting this month.

I have now accepted that I'm out for Feb. Fx for March!

79andnotout · 08/02/2018 00:18

Hey @DreamyCat I don't mean to piss on your chips! You're not out until AF gets ya. Fingers crossed...

DreamyCat · 08/02/2018 06:34

@79andnotout The witch is here and has been for a few days. Onwards & upwards!

79andnotout · 08/02/2018 17:25

Ha okay, yeah that's pretty conclusive then! @DreamyCat

Sunshine19 · 08/02/2018 21:00

Hi everyone can I join please?
I’m 37, TTC#1, cycle 4? (MC at 11 wks) but been trying overall for 3 yrs!
Been watching your posts and wanted to join as you all seem lovely and very supportive and tbh no one gets it unless they’ve been through it eh?
I’m so sorry for your losses @SoozC and @janefx40 hugs to you both. Congrats to you @Blueberry1 I hope your keeping ok? All you lovely ladies I hope you get your BFP soon so baby dust to you all!
So we’ve been trying after AF came back after MC and only this month I finally ovulated, we DTD loads during fw and now it’s the dreaded tww but to be honest I’m sure am out so next month I’m hoping we have more luck! Got consultant appt next month so really hope we get an IVF referral as this waiting mullarkey is just brain drain! FX for you all xox

Blueberry1 · 08/02/2018 21:40

Hi all. Nice to see new ladies join this thread.

@Sooz I did accupuncture before & after 2nd embryo transfer. It was supposed to help with cramping, which it did (I had less), but whether it helped little bean to stick, who knows? (evidence is inconclusive but consultant said it wouldn't do any harm).

@Janefx40 - so sorry that IVF appears not to have worked this time. Did you freeze any embryos? There is some evidence that frozen embryo transfer has higher success because body has time to recover from egg retrieval and fewer drugs are needed. As we were going to do PGS (but at last minute didn't), I never did a fresh transfer, only natural cycle frozen transfer. I would highly recommend as it's not taxing on the body at all (you just take progesterone supplements).

Am now nearly 28 weeks and at this week's midwife appointment on Tuesday, I again got a clean bill of health Smile. My BP is still 100/60, no UTI/protein in urine & some blood was taken to check for anaemia & hospital haven't called so am presuming that's a good sign. Baby is moving a lot & it's sometimes uncomfortable and often at inconvenient moment eg during a new business pitch on Tuesday afternoon Shock!

Flev · 08/02/2018 22:08

@dreamycat - sorry you're out for the month - time to break out a consoling glass of wine or gin?

@sunshine19 - hi, keeping fingers crossed for you this month.

I'm trying really hard not to symptom spot - but one thing is driving me nuts. I seem to have a much stronger sense of smell, particularly for cigarette smoke - every time colleagues come back in at work it feels like the office stinks for ages. Anyone had anything similar?

Janefx40 · 08/02/2018 22:13

Welcome @Sunshine19 @Lissyc1 and anyone else who joined recently.

@Blueberry1 I can't believe you are 28 weeks! Where does the time go?! Glad everything seems healthy.

We only have one frozen embryo as it turned out we have a fertilisation issue (can't remember if I shared that on this thread or not so apologies if this is repetitive). So although we got 14 eggs, we only got 5 fertilised, nearly all from the half they did ICSI with. 3 went in and only 1 other made it to day 5 for freezing. So we will probably do stims again - they said since I seem to be producing lots of eggs and we now know to do ICSI plus am nearly 41 we may as well get more embies now if we can.

I am just waiting now for my progesterone levels to drop now I've stopped the supplements so that I can have a period. I'm ok now I've accepted what has happened

Sorry about all the AFs. As I said before IVF is no harder than a regular 2WW...I've done both and they are both shit!

Sunshine19 · 08/02/2018 22:18

Thanks @Flev I have all the AF signs and RHR on Fitbit has dropped back to coverline so am guessing am out this month but FX to you!

Yes I have the same sensitive nose since I got pregnant and heightens during ovulation. The smell of my mans socks give me the heave I can smell them the other side of the room! Maybe that is ur sign? Are you going to test soon? Xox

Flev · 08/02/2018 22:25

@sunshine19 - AF is due Tuesday and I normally wait until I'm overdue but now tempted to test over the weekend...

Sunshine19 · 08/02/2018 22:37

@Flev that’s exciting all the best and will keep FX for you! Keep us posted!

@Blueberry1 hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well for you!

@janefx40 hope your progesterone levels drop soon and you get on a new cycle big hugs to you, I’m sorry I don’t know much about IVF but I really hope it does get you your BFP soon xox

Flev · 10/02/2018 08:17

So I couldn't sleep this morning, and decided to POAS at about 5am. It came up with a faint positive line in the time period - but by 7.30am it had faded completely and now looks negative. Not sure what to think - anyone any ideas?

I'm not due AF until Tuesday so a bit scared that if I try again today without FMU it'll read negative.

It was a clear blue (non digital) test, if that makes any difference?

I guess I pick up another test and try tomorrow...

keepinghopeful · 10/02/2018 08:24

@Janefx40 hope you are doing ok.

@Flev you are good now if you can wait, id be running out to buy a FRER lol

Im 8 dpo, had pulling in lower stomach 6dpo but think ive had it other cycles that I didnt get Bfp so wont get hopes up. DH & i are dosed with cold & sore throats so a bit miserable in this house!!

Flev · 10/02/2018 08:26

@keepinghopeful It's more that I'm so scared I'll see a BFN now...

keepinghopeful · 10/02/2018 08:29

@Flev i know hate seeing them especially after bit of hope this morning but 🤞🤞

Blueberry1 · 10/02/2018 08:50

@Flev - it could be that HCG levels are still low & this barely detectable at this stage. My only BFP was at 14DPO (3 days late) and test quickly produced a strong line that didn't fade. A pharmacist once advised me to wait until 14DPO to test as by that stage a test will be accurate (either way).

@Janefx40 - 14 eggs; that's great! I got only 7 & all fertilised via ICSI (DP had slight motility issue although count/morphology were fine), so maybe that's the way to go?

Blondcat · 10/02/2018 09:20

Welcome newbies.

@flev that sounds promising. I have only taken one test prior to af being due which was on nye as wanted a drink and was definitely a bfn. After that I am determined to wait for af as think the disappointment is a bit less for me anyway.

I am in fw and feeling a bit more positive, also booked gp appointment this week to get the ball rolling to see if we need tests etc.

SoozC · 10/02/2018 11:16

Sorry to hear you've had a disappointment, Jane. :( I was rooting for you! When will the next shot happen?

I'm suspected 6dpo. Had cramping and slight nausea as well as broken sleep since possible ov. Today woke up with scratchy throat and slightly stuffy nose but I think that's because it's half-term! I waver between wildly optimistic and depression on a daily basis.
