Yum was in need of a new thread, and I thought the title was apt because it's not just TCOYF charts anymore... hope it's ok?? I don't want anyone to think I am taking over

Just needing something, anything, to take my mind OFF my impending doom

OP posts:
ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 01/04/2007 12:06

Thanks Yum for being a balanced voice. It is nice to hear that there is still a teeny chance I could be pregnant. I think I will hang on to that for as long as I can. But the temp dip says it all, you are right, of course. I want to take some paracetomol, in prep of when the proper cramps kick in later today - but at the moment I need to feel the pre-men ones, does that sound loopy?

This is officially the worst I have felt since beginning ttc, the disappointment isn't as strong as it has been other months. Mainly because I don't think we had enough sex anyway. But the confusion factor has really thrown me off kilter.

I wonder if the B6 in the pregnacare could be lengthening my LP? Or I wonder if I got the ovulation day wrong because of my disturbed sleeps?

Enough of my rambling... thanks everyone for putting up with me. I will be a much better friend soon.

Thanks for all your kind messages. I am feeling a bit better now although monstrously hungover

kensgirl · 01/04/2007 12:49

Hi Ready,
Hope you don't mind me butting in to the charting thread, but just wanted to say keep smiling, you never know!! I've been watching your space for a few days, and am hoping it works out for you. Sending you a big hug.

yum03creameggs · 01/04/2007 16:24

Ready - thank you for starting the new thread, I hope that you are managing to distract yourself a bit today? Thinking of you.

Eggs4EasterFertilizedPlz · 01/04/2007 17:21

think i might join you all - that ok?

Eggs4EasterFertilizedPlz · 01/04/2007 17:22

city angel old cycle bud - hey!!! i used to be desperate 2 bmum and i willbepgbydec2007

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 01/04/2007 17:44

Yep Yum... plenty of distraction - digging, weeding, fighting with cotsold chippings. The Great Garden Project is still going... it's amazing what 2 Sunday afternoons can do to make a garden look fab! It's not finished yet... still lots of weeding to do... and mulching the beds... moving a couple of shrubs and laying a few stepping stones I just realised how much there is still to do! Best not fall pg til it's done huh!!

Kensgirl - Thank you so much sweets, really lovely of you to post that here, bless you for thinking of me!! I am pretty sure my number is up, CD1 probably tomorrow now.

City - Sorry you are struggling with a hangover. Big hugs.

OvenREADY - at least it is now less than 24 hours till you will know one way or the other. Either your temp will rise again and you will be facing the "test or not" challenge, or your temp will drop further and af will make her grand arrival know to you. Either way with your regular cycles, it is ONLY one more day to know. I hope this thought helps in some way. As an aside, I always found that hard work and exercise delayed onset of af for me and sex made it arrive early, so perhaps you could put my theory to the test and shag your dh for distraction tonight!!!!

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 02/04/2007 10:12

Didn't see your message yesterday evening yum so I didn't take up your suggestion Well... mother of all temp drops, and still no blood. I am sure that it will be CD1 before the day is out!! But in the mean time, I can safely say I am not pregnant. Below the coverline

Thanks for the moral support!! Just what I needed! Bit miffed that I am not pregnant, but I really didn't expect to be, so it's not as huge a disappointment as it has been. If you see what I mean??

So... Ready is back!! How is everyone??

Hi Ladies software still not agreeing with me that I OVd 28/3. I?ve had high temps ever since then, today was 36.4. What do you ladies honestly think? Does anyone remember whether or not you can get a progestrone rise on an annovulatory cycle?

Ready ? first thing I did when I logged on was check your chart but couldn?t see a temp for today so thought that in spite of the slight drop, things still looked good. Sorry to hear it dropped again today I know you must be really fed up but its not over yet hn and I still have my fingers crossed for you. Is this your longest LP to date? Anything else new or different? Isn?t the lower ab pain hanging around more than usual?

3cats ? have you tried a mass delete? Go into I think it is the second tab on the left in the toolbar and you can delete the days before or after a certain date and then start again. It?s the only way to stop it from making assumptions based on those incorrect posts I think. Hope that helps.

seaside72 · 02/04/2007 10:55

Hi MrsMc - I was just thinking the same as am wondering if I am having an anov cycle too?? Anyway found this on wikipedia:

"Normal menstrual bleeding in the ovulatory cycle is understood as a result of a decline in progesterone due to the demise of the corpus luteum. It is thus a progesterone withdrawal bleeding. As there is no progesterone in the anovulatory cycle, bleeding is caused by the inability of estrogen - that needs to be present to stimulate the endometrium in the first place - to support a growing endometrium. Anovulatory bleeding is hence termed estrogen breakthrough bleeding"

Not sure if it helps or not? What else would give a temp rise though more seaside confusion

I am due to have another CD21 test this month so I guess I wll find out them?

MrsMcEasterBunny · 02/04/2007 12:40

Well found, very interesting. What shall we call ?estrogen breakthrough bleeding? ?! No progesterone at all maybe my tingling boobs were a sign I am not anov then because I know it?s the progesterone that causes that. I wonder too about the temps.

Anyone help us?

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 02/04/2007 13:17

What about "ebb & flo"??

MrsMc - I have had a 13 day LP, once before (to my knowledge that it, since charting), so it wouldn't be inconceivable for CD1 to start today. But out of all my charts, the norm has been 12 days, even with changing cycle length. So if nothing happens today, and CD1 is tomorrow, it will be a 14 day LP and a 28 day cycle - talk about text book
It is weird, because I do get cramps in the lead up, but I can't remember a time when they were this strong, but not coupled with bleeding. It's really disconcerting, actually. And I am in and out of the look every five minutes checking.

Sorry... I seem to have waffled on about myself again... after I promised I was back. Sorry ladies. I really am being a pain in the bum at the minute aren't I!

OP posts:
yum03creameggs · 02/04/2007 13:33

MrsMc - I thought that you can only tell if you have an annovulatory cycle by blood tests, I read somewhere (sorry I don't know where) that you can get a temp-rise with an annovulatory cycle, but I don;t understand how! Sorry I might try some googling to see if I can find more info.

Ready - you still sound hopeful - are you?

yum03creameggs · 02/04/2007 13:35

Just looked at your chart ready - is it really cd1 now confirmed?

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 02/04/2007 13:42

yum - So weird, I was just posting to you on the temp thread!! Just checked and cheered
I wasn't really feeling hopeful, as such, just disconcerted by the delay. I usually start a bleed in the morning, but the cramps were getting so strong I just knew it couldn't be too long. But hey ho, now I know... the dream is over for this month!!

citydevilbunny · 02/04/2007 14:14

Oh Ready big hugs. I know how it feels. Just aboout over my hangover now

D2D cycle buddy how are you? what have you been up to?

Off for a job interviw this afternoon and am dead nervous! Wish me luck

MrsMcEasterBunny · 02/04/2007 14:58

Good luck City

Ready - sorry hon, but as you say, you are the closest to textbook than any of us!

MrsMcEasterBunny · 02/04/2007 14:59

Yum03 - thanks how are you feeling about things?

3catstoo · 02/04/2007 16:11

I posted on the old thread this morning, wasn't sure if this was replacing the other one or just running along side it.
I won't re type my ramble again and bore you.

I will try the mass delete, thanks MrsMc, I knew you would know!

3catstoo · 02/04/2007 16:24

It worked, thank you MrsMc.

Now Ov has moved to tomorrow, based on todays +ve opk. I'm sure it has already happened though.
DH will not be up for anything during this week, until Friday anyway. He is so busy at work and comes home exhausted. Hence the hearts only appear on my chart at the weekend .

I'll have to try really hard to persuade him.

This will be my latest Ov since charting. It's gone from CD15 to CD 19 over the past few months. It makes it harder to succeed when there is a moving target.

I have hit the point where I really only think of sex as a means to making a baby. Of course I enjoy it too but even during I think of the result. Is that bad?

Sorry to see your temp drop again.

3catstoo · 02/04/2007 16:25

I meant that for Ready, I posted before thinking about my post.

Good luck for the interview Citydevil.

MrsMcEasterBunny · 02/04/2007 16:33

3cats ? good! It?ll probably move OV back in the next couple of days if you got +ive today, hope so. I wouldn?t be surprised if stress was making your OV late, you have so much on your plate at the mo but it is a vicious circle impossible to get out of isn?t it.

I know what you mean about the sex, the last couple of times this cycle have been fun but if I?m honest, they wouldn?t have happened if we weren?t TTC. We?re knackered and have effectively slowed down the pace over the last few days.

My temp was 36.4 this morning. I hope I did OVd on 28/3 and I do have 5 higher temps since then. I think the coverline is way too high for me. These are like post ov type temps for me but I guess I?ll just have to wait and see.

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 03/04/2007 15:03

City - How did the interview go? When will you know? Fingers crossed!! Thank you for the big hug - just what I needed I am much more disappointed today than I was yesterday... it's almost as if it has just hit me - 8th cycle!! Big hug to you.

MrsMc - I definitely think your coverline should be lower!! Wonder why the software isn't accepting it? And why has it put one temp as rule of thumb?? Confusing!! I really think it looks like you have ovulated. So fingers crossed now? Looks like you were a little late with the ovulation test!
What is the name of the Zita West book you have? Because I was thinking of getting something to browse (!)

3Cats - It really does sound as if you have got a lot going on and I am sure it affects OV. I know what you mean about a moving target, I have ovulated on 14,15,16 and 19! Very frustrating. Hang in there

Yum - Your chart looks good. What is your LP normally?? I can't believe I am advocating testing... but it's sounding so promising for you, with the nausea and boobs

Seaside - Glad to see the panic of annovulation is over!! And I love your plan of telling a white lie to DH about when the crucial time is! It will be interesting to see if he has issues at the time when he thinks it is crucial!! Big hugs

OP posts:
MrsMcEasterBunny · 03/04/2007 15:25

Thanks Ready right thing to say, stupid software, what does it know? I?ll check the name of the Zeta West book for you and let you know. Any plans to do anything differently this cycle? Taking up or cutting anything out? Sorry you are low, totally understandable. Temp was 36.5 today by the way. I haven?t found any reason anywhere for temps rising over CL other than OV.

Yum03 ? it is looking damn fine!

It certainly is time we chart spotters got some more BFPs!
