Never felt any pain or cramps, or bleeding. Just noticed the nausea stopped 2 weeks ago and yet was on and off with it for the past 2 weeks. At the scan I was told it was a missed miscarriage

physicskate · 24/06/2018 17:38

Very sorry to hear that @Russkispy. It's never the news you want to hear... be kind to yourself. However you're feeling is totally justified.

Welcome back @radderss! Of course I remember you. It does make me a bit sad though for myself... I've changed a lot in the last two years. Not at all in a good way... hope it's a quick process again for you!

Tee4me · 24/06/2018 20:27

Oh @Russkispy I'm so sorry. Yes I've been in that position, my second miscarriage was 'missed', and my third was ectopic. It's just horrendous going for that scan only to be told there's no heartbeat, I'm so sorry you're going through this, there are no words that I can say that will make you feel better right now, but I promise you will get through this. I suspect at the EPU they will give you the option to book for a D&C or wait for things to happen naturally. I booked in for the procedure but then things happened naturally in the meantime. Let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you xx

Thank you lovely ladies! Went to EPU lunch time, the scan confirmed the growth/pregnancy stopped at 6w2d, pretty much straight after my first early scan.
I’ve opted for a D&C and they squeezed me in this Friday. We got family holiday booked a few months ago and flying this Sunday, plus I’m returning to work after my maternity leave the following week. I couldn’t deal with the natural way during those times plus at work. I’m just hoping there’s a cancellation and I can be called in soon than Friday. Just don’t want bleeding starting now till Friday. @Tee, how long did you wait for your D&C?
MC is still very much foreign to me although I tried to read about it last night. Too painful. And I just want to get D&C done and come back to work without thinking about it.
Thank you for all your support lovely ladies! Just wondering how soon have you started TTC after MC? the doctor today said to wait till I get my 1st AF, which is roughly 6 weeks? Must concentrate on positives here

physicskate · 25/06/2018 17:07

I'm so sorry @Russkispy. I haven't ever been that far along, so can't advise about timing. I really hope you can relax and recover over your holiday.

Tee4me · 25/06/2018 19:23

Hi @Russkispy. My D&C was booked a week after the scan confirmed missed miscarriage. I started bleeding a few days before I was due to go in. I was pleased for natural in my situation, although passing the empty sack was like a mini labour. I know a lot of ladies who felt the procedure was the quickest most painless option, and had a better experience with that versus natural. Sounds like it will work for you considering all you have going on. Psychologically it might be less painful too. I always wanted to TTC immediately after miscarriage, and I know some women who fell in the following cycle, but generally you are advised to take a break so that you have a period before trying again. I think I always still ovulated 2 weeks after I miscarried, so I could basically count the first day of miscarriage bleed as CD1 of my cycle. Some people count D&C as CD1.
Good luck xx

Thank you ladies. I’ll still call EPU tomorrow and Wednesday mornings to see if they had any cancellations before Friday. They did say they would call me but it won’t hurt if I do that too. Still hoping the bleeding won’t start till then. The initial shock has been worn off now, I believe. And must think positive from this point onwards. Went on cooking binge for 2 days now! Practically cooked for Russia and now no space left in the freezer. And yesterday, straight after my scan, I met my best friend and her family for her 3d+4d scan which I booked for her weeks ago! I’ve got thick skin, and even today walking around EPU and maternity department, seeing all pregnant ladies, didn’t make feel upset or mad or angry. Was only thinking they might have had a long journey too. Spoke with my clinic today and we’re thinking about IUI in September/October. The fight is not over for me and you, ladies! We must get going till we get there! And I’m convinced some time later it will happen!

physicskate · 26/06/2018 07:38

I always did have rubbish timing... I got a bfp. I did yesterday and thought it might be the trigger shot, but it's a little darker today... so I guess I'm still in with a shout. Trying not to get excited just yet... it's early days. I'm only 6dp5dt.

Tee4me · 26/06/2018 07:53

Oh fantastic @physicskate that's great!!
OK I can now admit to the bfp I also got yesterday morning at 14dpo, we could be in this together 😬 xx

@kate and @Tee, that’s fantastic news! Cautious congratulations and I’ve crossed everything here for you!

Tee4me · 26/06/2018 08:55

Praying it'll be 4th time lucky! I'm entitled to an early scan on NHS because of the ectopic in March/April. I feel very grateful to have fallen again so quickly, I just hope it's in the right place and my body doesn't reject it! The line on the hpt was pretty strong though (which it wasn't at this stage last time)
@Russkispy there is a theory that you could be more fertile after miscarriage so 🙏🏻 for you xx

I have to go in on Friday to get a beta hcg. That's what my clinic does... and then I have to make it to 6 week scan and then I think I would get discharged. I'll have to take blood thinners until 8 or 10 weeks (not my favourite injection) and cyclogest until 12 weeks... trying not to get carried away. There is a reasonable probability of his ending in tears...

radderss · 26/06/2018 16:56

Omg congratulations both !!!

Praying for sticky beans for you. Keep us posted xxxx

Tee4me · 27/06/2018 17:31

Thanks @radderss! I've been asked to go into the EPU tomorrow to see if they can draw any early conclusions as to whether this is likely to be a successful one. Doubt they'll see much on the scan (hopefully that it's in the right place?!) but I think they'll also take HCG. Nerve wracking!!

OP posts:
physicskate · 28/06/2018 08:25

The line at 8dp5dt isn't any darker than 6dp5dt when the hcg should have doubled... not expecting a good outcome... again.

Tee4me · 28/06/2018 08:49

Is it the same or lighter? Levels of hcg are so low in these early stages, the difference of a more diluted urine could account for lack of progression. Keep the faith and you will know more after tomorrow's test.

OP posts:
physicskate · 28/06/2018 09:04

It's probably the same or half a tinge darker... I was pretty dehydrated this morning through after an evening on non-alcoholic beer and rose lemonade... had the quite the hangover for all that (non) alcohol!

Mimilicious013 · 28/06/2018 12:48

I am so sorry for what you are going through @russkipy.it is such a heartbreaking experience.how are you today?hope you get your d&c done by tomorrow and you take a break on your holiday.take good care of yourself 🌺

Mimilicious013 · 28/06/2018 12:52

Congratulations @tee4me and @physicskate 🍾🎈🎈yaaay ladies.this news was long overdue.wishing you both healthy happy and sticky beans 🤞🤞.

Mimilicious013 · 28/06/2018 13:01

👋@radders.hope your son is doing well and best of luck on this journey again.

@tee how did your appointment go hun?

@kate l echo what tee said, keep the faith.l honestly can’t wait for your scan pictures.

Sadly for me af got me after being 3weeks late, marking my ttc journey at exactly 3 years with nothing to show.

Tee4me · 28/06/2018 13:24

Oh @Mimilicious013 sorry AF got you, it doesn't get any easier does it?

They actually scanned me despite my dates only putting me at 4+2. I was relieved that she could see a tiny dot/potential gestational sac which the Consultant felt was classic at this stage of pregnancy, so a relief there is 'something' in the right place. Waiting for them to call me with hcg results (so nervous!)

Beta hcg is positive!! Long way to go, I know!! I kinda knew, but also trying not to get excited as we all know what can and does happen... scab in two weeks is the next hurdle to get to.

Tee I am so pleased for you too!!

I just feel bad that it isn't mimi and Russ too!!!

physicskate · 29/06/2018 10:44

Scan not scab!!!
