Thread 31, TTC1 | Jam and her dodgers still riding the bonking bus for that elusive BFP

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has well and truly worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Hopping on board!

TTC# 2.
Currently on 2nd cycle in 6 months.
AF is almost a week late.
Have been testing all week & negatives all the way.
Not giving up hope yet. But support is needed to not be so anal about it all & actually relax!

Will be trying to keep up & keep posting. Fingers crossed everyone! 👍🏼

CoconutGal · 24/07/2017 14:07

Ooh probably should add, it's only our 2nd cycle in 6 months due to AF only arriving twice in that time. 😒

Jamon · 24/07/2017 14:09

Hope you're feeling better lemon that sounds nasty

Chlo I'm a massive cynic and would say don't take any notice of the 'psychic' it's a load of old codswallop. Apologies if I've offended anyone! Would you mind sharing the sperm nutrition advice please? I hadn't heard watercress before

Thanks for the support re my DH. He's a douche and he knows it. He's a year younger than me - but at 32 more than mature enough to become a dad. The thing is too is I know how much he will love it and how amazing he will be with a baby. He just gets all freaked out with big life decisions and changes. He did this getting engaged and buying our house. Lucky me, hey. I'm seriously pissed off with him and have asked him some tough questions about where his head is at with the whole thing as if we are going to go through IVF together then we need to be totally united. I can't be doing with this flaky shit. I've got enough of my plate.

Kwick splendid allotment crop!

Binky I had a hycosy a few months ago and found it fine. Getting the tube in was no problem at all and when the dye went in it was fine right up until the last moment when I could feel my uterus contract like a strong period pain - and then it was over. I know the experience varies for women but it really was fine for me, so it doesn't necessarily have to be bad or dreaded.

jam glad you have taken DH to task over his behaviour. If he feels unable to be supportive he needs to find ways to deal with that so he can. Was he going to counselling?

Flashinthepan · 24/07/2017 14:21

Oh and I'm flash. Cycle have absolute no idea anymore. Currently 13 dpo and AF was due yesterday. No sign and sore boobs still. Trying not to test til tomorrow but also currently holding wee in case I get the urge to test today!

Thanks for the new thread jam & name flora

Sorry about AF flora - good for you for looking forward; hope you have a great holiday!

Feeling less crap than yesterday - was feeling a bit silly for being disappointed despite it being a long shot w OH's work trip Blush

basset good to hear you're making progress re thyroid issues - how are you feeling? Glad you're on the right track - you'll be back to TTC in no time

Happy Monday to you too kwick :)

QuietTime · 24/07/2017 15:30

Oh and me:

Age: 32 (33 in a few weeks...sigh)
Cycle: 8
CD2

And jam am glad you're being up-front with DH, though it must be so frustrating. Good for you for setting him straight

Chlo22 · 24/07/2017 16:11

Thanks for new thread jam. These are the foods:
Daily - olive oil, Blueberries, half a pomegranate, walnuts, sunflower & pumpkins seeds (in salad or with oats for brekkie), green leafy veggies such as kale, cabbage, watercress, red veg such as yellow/orange/red peppers, carrots

During the week: plenty of eggs, organic fish and chicken, a gut superfood such as kefir (bought some from our coop and actually tastes quite nice), lentils/ pulses

Basically healthy eating but the greens, particularly watercress and the olive oil and tomatoes are apparently proven to help with sperm dan fragmentation, so I guess would also help with other sperm quality issues

He's also still taking proxeed plus

Pyjamas81 · 24/07/2017 17:12

Thanks for the new thread jam! Here are my stats again:

Age - 36 (DH is 42)
Cycle -15
Last cycle was first go at IVF - BFN and AF arrived bang on time 😞
I have low AMH
IVF follow up appointment on 4th August before getting back on the IVF hamster wheel
AF due 9th or 10th August but who knows given it's first cycle after IVF. Depending on what doctor says on the 4th, we'll go for the second round asap.

Flashinthepan · 24/07/2017 17:50

Just had some red tinge when I went for a pee. Think late af is most likely Agnus castus lengthening my LP rather than pregnancy. I shouldn't be surprised but I feel quite sad about it. Trying to remind myself of all the cheese, wine and rare meat I can eat on holiday next week.

katiegd · 24/07/2017 17:51

Hi all,

Sorry for absence on the last thread - I got a bit behind and didn't manage to catch up. Hopefully able to jump back on this one and keep up :-).

Me:

Age 32 (33 soon)
Ttc#1
Cycle 11 or 12 I think.
Started trying Dec 15 but DP needed an op last year so it stalled us a bit. But for that reasons it feels like I've been on the TTC wagon a while.
AF due tomorrow or Weds. Not hopeful - no symptoms at all. Feel very normal.

Went to GP and got all tests ordered a couple of weeks ago. Got scan booked in a few weeks and need to find time to go to get bloods done.

Jam - I can very much identify with your DH issues. Mine seems to be checking out of thinking about TTC at the moment and it's really getting me down.

AlexiaB · 24/07/2017 18:07

Thanks for the new thread Jam. How is everyone?

Cycle 27 and bored as hell
CD24, 8dpo

I tried to forget about ttc (impossible!) and didn't even plan to track this cycle but as we aren't having loads of sex it was stressing me out more. I actually ovulated this cycle without meds and at a decent time!!! (will attach chart). Think my diet has helped. We didn't have a great FW so I'm expecting af but still symptom spotting like a lunatic. No idea what my LP will do off meds though, it used to be 9 days but hoping for longer.

Counting down to Vancouver in October and we've booked Rome for my birthday in Feb because fuck sitting at home crying on my birthday on my period THREE years in a row.

Jam so sorry af got you and that your dh wasn't very supportive Sad Hope he takes on board what you've said and mans up. Btw, based on everything I think Clomid extended your LP, not delayed O. It always brought O forward for me and extended my LP by 4 days.

Sorry the witch arrived Quiet, Flora and anyone else I've missed Flowers Good luck all FW'ers.

LSFX Harriet and Flash

PJs I was so sad to read about your IVF but you handled it all so well. You should be proud of yourself! Best of luck for August 🍀

Skipper yay for being married and using DH now. Your honeymoon sounded unbelievable!

Welcome back kwick we all missed you soo much! Congrats on the weight loss.

Thanks for sharing the diet stuff Chlo 👍

Good news on your numbers basset, hope you can get back to ttc asap.

AlexiaB · 24/07/2017 18:10

Hope it's not what you think Flash but French cheese, wine and meat does sound heavenly (but obviously not as heavenly as a bfp and a baby!)

Good luck with your scan and bloods Katie.

Cycle 10 / Month 11 current TTC period. (TTC on and more off since August 2013)

Ok, I'll admit. I googled where my ovaries were earlier. Think I might be popping out an egg. (I literally have no hope do I?) No positive OPK (and today's was a dud so I'll do another as soon as I get home) and temps are like a seismic chart so I'll just hope my body is playing ball. Had my bloods done this morning. At the specialist next Thursday re my thyroid. Hopefully things will still be ok. He was expecting me to be pregnant by this appointment. Awkward!!!! 🙄

DTD CD7 & 9 and probably tonight. I'm hoping it's enough.

Otherwise uneventful few days. Tried to catch up on the other thread but it seems like we're all having a mare right now with silly DH's and AF's left right and centre. I'm hoping we have a lucky thread, it seems like we've not had a BFP in ages!! (Probably like a week?? Lol)

Kathrino · 24/07/2017 18:18

Thanks for the lovely new thread Jam. I am proud to be a jammy dodger!

Think we're into cycle 20 or 21 now, not entirely sure. AF has just finished but DH is away for until next Monday now so not sure how much chance we'll have this week.

I've booked a follow up appointment at the fertility clinic on Friday to discuss next steps and hopefully starting IVF in Sept/Oct.

Keeping everything crossed for you Flash.
